UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MORITZ KRIOKL, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR STEP-PLATE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 10,349, dated December 11,1877; application filed November 28,1877 [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom 'it may concern:
Be it known that I, MORITZ KRIGKL, of the city of New York, county and State of New York, have invented a new and original 'Design for a Step-Plate, of Which the following is a specification:
Figure l represents a face view of my new design for a step-plate; Fig. 2, a section on the line c o, Fig. l.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both iigures.
This invention relates to a new conguration of a sectional step-plate, also to anew ornamentation of the same. As to the con tiguration, the drawing clearly shows the stepplate A to be of circular form and provided with projecting'nearly semicircular lugs a a, which impart to the circular plate a peculiar outline and tasteful appearance.
As to the ornamentation, the body of the plate A has on its surface a central rosette, b, whichis encircled by a scallopedring, d, around which are grouped a series of leaves, e e. This design produces a very beautiful eii'ect.
Between the several leaves e e are scrolls f f, which extend into the projecting lugs a a, and carry rosettes g at their outer end, said rosettes being placed in the lugs a a. Each of the rosettes has its center depressed and perforated, as clearly shown by the section, Fig. 2.
I claim as my inventionl. The configuration of the -circular stepplate A, having the projecting lugs a a, substantially as shown.V
2. The ornamental design for a step-plate, the same consisting of the rosette b, scalloped ring d, and leaves e c, 'substantially as shown.
3. The ornamental design for a step-plate, consisting of the scrolls j' f, placed between the leaves e e, and terminating in the rosettes g, substantially as shown.
4. The design for a step-plate, said designv consisting of the rosette g, depressed toward the center, and perforated in the center, substantially as shown. v
MORITZ KRIOKL.
