DESIGN FOR A PARLOR-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,648, dated April 20, 1886,
Application died June i, 1885. Serial No, 101,850. Term of paint 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, GURDON G. WOLFE and Answer LISEWBKI, both of the city of Troy, county of Rensselaer, State ofNew York, have jointly invented and produced a new Design for Parlor- Stoves, and of which the following is a specifimtion.
Our design relates to the form and orna|nentation of the tops, the doorframes, and feet of parlor-stoves as the same are shown in the accompanying photograph, forming a. part of this specificatmn.
The form of stove to which our design is shown as applied is that of a cylinder stove having a square base.
Our deal for the top of the stove consists of a dome orm ortion, P, which is smaller in its transverse iameter than the stove-body B on which it is placed, and is somewhat flattened in its upward contour. Between this dome-form top and the stove-body there is an overhanging molded portion, 1?, having the downwardly and outwardly projected beveled molding p, extending fromt-he dome base d, and the upwardl and outwardly beveled molding 11', extends from the stove-body with a beveled band-molding, 11', arranged between the said opposite beveled moldin s p p, all the said moldings being produ in revolution upon the stove between the base of the dome-portion and the stove-body.
Our desi n for the door-fra|ne F consists of the aide pi asters, having outwardly-beveled and molded sides 1', interior scale orna mentation, f, pendent grapes and leaf f, a lozenge ornament, a, and a pendent drop ornament, f, at the ottom of the pllasters.
The top of the door frame is com osed of the projecting overhanging molding which at its longitudinal center is divided and separated for theiutrusion of a leaf ornament, f, and at each side of the letter said overhanging moidingf curves in opposite directions down wardly and laterally, so as to subiend the 'pilastcrs at each side of the frame, the said molding where over the pilasters being ornamented b a pedestal, f. The molding atthe bottom 0 the door-frame is ornamented with two notched and filleted reversing curves, f", and central scrolls, f".

The door that is shown within the frame F forms the subject of another application for a design patent bearing even date herewith and made by us.
Our design for the lower door-frame (indicated at I) consists of the pilasters i, made with molded and beveled sides 6', a qnatrefoil figure, i, in the frontal the pilasters near their upper ends, the scale ornamentation i, the plinth i, the pyramidnlly-molded top, i, surmounted by an immersed ball. Between the said side pilasters the top of the frame I? has two reversing fringed medallion scrolls, i, and between the latter is a pedestal, :1, having at the front a radiate figure, i, and at the top oi the cone-form ornament i'. The bottom oi said frame I consists of a dilated molding, i", that joins the side pilasters.
The feet of the stove, as indicated at M, have a. downwardly and outwardly slanting front with their sides so shaped to give them a V form, the feet on their front exterior surface being ornamented by a beaded line, m, across the top, the side edge fillets, m, the intermediately-placed fan ornaments, m, and relief leaf ornaments m m.
Having thus described our design, what we claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s-- 1. In a deal 11 for astove, theornamentation of the doorrame F, consisting of the side pilastcrs, f f the top molding, having a central ornumenthf', and pedesta f', and the reversely scroll bottom molding, f", as shown and described.
2. In a design fora stove, the ornamentation of the ash-pit door-frame 1, consisting of the pllasters i, the top molding, i, having a central ornament, i, and reversing scroll i'i' and the bottom molding, i", as shown and described.
3. In a design for astov e, the ornamentation of the feet, consisting of their V form, the beaded lino m across their top, the fillets in upon the sides, and the fan ornaments m and the leaf ornaments m on the exterior face of feet, as shown and described.
4. The design herein'described and shown for a parlor-stove, consisting of a cylindrical body, the door-frame thereon having the aide pilastere, f'f, the top molding. f, having a central ornament, f, and pedestals f, and bottom molding, f and thedoorframe i, hav- 5 ing the pilasters i, the top molding, a", with central ornament, a, reversing scroll i", and bottom molding, i, and the feet of the V form having beaded top line, m, fillets m on the sides, and the fan and leaf ornaments m m. :0 5. The design herein described and shown for a parlor-stove, consisting oifflettened domeform top having the overhanging molding P", the beveled moldings p p p, a cylindrical body, the door-frame thereon having the side 15 pilastere, f f, the top molding, f, having a central ornament, f, and pedestals f and bottom molding, f", the door-frame I, having the pileatere i, the top molding, t, with central ornaments, i", reversing scroll a", and bottom molding, i, and the feet of V form having 20 beaded top line, m, fillets m on the sides, and the fan and leaf ornaments m m.
