DESIGN FOR A STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,066, dated January 21, 1896. Application iiled November 7, 1895. Eeritl No. 688,283. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, WILLIAM W. BALDWIN, sJ citizen of the United States, residing at- Cleveland, in the conntr of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced New and original Design for Stoves, of which th'e following is a speciiicaion, reference be- [ng had to the accompanying drawing, show- (ng a perspective view of a stove in which my invention is found.

'lhe essential feature of my design consists of a stove-top A, provided with ornamenta sion,.as hereinafter described, the substan- Sially rectangular body portion B, also suitably ornamented, and the ornamented base C.

The top A has a bese which inclines outwardly to the border edge 8, and is provided with leaf gure-work 4 extending upward in Above border 3 is open `top, which is raised visibly above the st part and has open serollwork 6, and issnrmounted by a globe-shaped vase 7 with ornamental decorations at its sides and top.

The body B has two ornamental horizontal borders 7' and 8 at and near its bottom, with open foliage-work 9 between said borders and over the surface above border 7 to the deco rated base 4 above, while distinct ii red columns 10 distinguish the corners o the body B from top to bottom theieof and between the borders 7' and 8.

The base portion C of the stove has at its extreme bottom a border covered with scrolls 11 inolosing occasional rosettes or beaded de- 3 5 signs I2, and stars 13, with scrolls 14 running off into the border, serve as ornamentation to the legs of the stove. Along the top of the said border is a ribbed ledge 15, and above this ledge are the peouliarly-ornamented doors 4e 16 having largebeaded center ornamentations 17. At the sides are foot-rests with attractive outwardly-curved and decorated supports 18 starting from the base and running into the body portion of the stove at their top be- 45 tween the borders and 8.

What I claim is- 1. In a stove, the design for the top, substantially as herein shown' and described.
