DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design NO. 24,162, dated April 2, 1895.
Application filed February 7, 1895. Serial No. 537,664. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JESSE D. PATTERSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Port Huron, in the county of St. Clair and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
The invention relates to a new and original design for badges and consists in the peculiar shape and decorative features as shown in the accompanying drawing.
The badge is of circular configuration and centrally thereon is the circular field A, marked by the lines to indicate meridians of latitude and longitude to represent the earth. Outside of this field is a plain ring, having the segmental side panels B, and the bottom panel C ornamented by a. chain ornamentation D. At the top is the representation of a cross and crown. Below the lower end of the cross in the upper part of the central field is the representation of the sun with radiating lines. In the lower part of the central field is the representation of a. beehive, the upper portion of which divides the wide plain band or zone E.
The essential features of the design are the peculiar shape and fanciful decorations above referred to and shown in the drawing.
What I claim as my invention is The design for a badge herein shown and described.
