.To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J onn AUGUST KIESELE, residing in New York city, New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a (lake 0rnmnent,ofwhich the following is a specificat on, reference being had to the aeeompnnyi ng photograph, forming apart thereof, which is a perspective view of my newly-designed cake ornament.
A represents the base of my newly-designed cake ornament, which in general appearance represents an inverled basket of fanciful outline. Upon the side of the base A is the representation of :1 reindeer and chariohb, driven by a child. Risi egg from the base A is an arch, c, of flowers and leaves intertwined, and suspended from the center of this arch is :1 marriage hell, (I, of fanciful outline, and hnvingn row of heading at the top and nnotln-raronnd the body portion ndjncent to the inseriptionpanel. Beneath the bell d,nnd standing upon the base A, is the representntion ofa. vhilrl, 0, representing Cupid. The child ehas asash around its waist and also a sash passing over its bnre shoulders, and carries in its hands a.

| I claim- 1. In a. design for nonke ornament, the base A, having a representation of a reindeer and chariot, b, n pon its sid e, substantial ly as shown.
2. In at design for a cake ornament, the representation ofa child, e, having a. sash around its waist. n sash passing over its bare shoulders, and carrying a pillow, f, standing upon the base ,A, substantially as shown.
3. In a design for n cake ornament, the hell :1, having a row of heading at the top and another row of heading around the bod y portion adjacent to the inscription-panel, substantially as shown.
4. In a design for :1 cake ornament, the ornamental pillow f, tassels 99, and rings h h upon the pillow, substantially as shown.
5. The design for a cake ornament herein described, consisting of the base A, arch a, bell d, and representation of a. child, 6, substantially as shown.
