To ail whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. SAART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Attleboro, in the county of Bristol and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Purse-Top or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side view of a purse-top, showing my design. Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view of the same, taken on a vertical line through the center of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists in the semicircular form of the lower margin, the curved outline forming the upper and outer margin curving outward from the two lower ends and then in an oblique direction to the center. The upper and outer margin The space between the marginal edges is ornamented with a central convex panel inc'losed by foliated scrolls extending from the upper center and surmounted by two obliquely-disposed stems terminating in spheroidal bulbs. Floral decorations spring from the central shield toward the ends, interspersed with leaves and stems, presenting to the eye the appearance of a semicirculararchsurmountedbyafioral pediment.
Having described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a purse-top or similar article, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
W'ILLIAM H. SAART.
