Abstract
Se describe un cabezal de soldadura por resistencia eléctrica (T) con electrodos ubicados en el mismo lado, que comprende una estructura de soporte (1), un transformador eléctrico (2), un electrodo de tierra (3) y un electrodo de soldadura (4). El electrodo de tierra (3) y el electrodo de soldadura (4) tienen respectivos ejes principales paralelos y separados entre sí, y dichos electrodos (3, 4) están montados de forma móvil con respecto a dicha estructura de soporte (1) a lo largo de los respectivos ejes principales. Un dispositivo elástico (20) está interpuesto operativamente entre el electrodo de tierra (3) y la estructura de soporte (1) y un dispositivo de detección (21) para la detección de la carga del dispositivo elástico (20) está asociado al dispositivo elástico (20). El cabezal (T) comprende también una o más unidades electrónicas (E) para controlar el robot (R) que lleva el cabezal (T) y para controlar el cabezal de soldadura (T), en donde dichas una o más unidades de control electrónicas (E) están configuradas para controlar el movimiento del robot con el fin de mover una porción extrema del electrodo de tierra (3) en contacto con un componente que será soldado. Las una o más unidades de control electrónico (E) mencionadas anteriormente también están configuradas para provocar un aumento de la carga del dispositivo elástico (20) hasta detener el movimiento del robot cuando la carga del dispositivo elástico (20) alcance un valor umbral predeterminado y para accionar el accionador (12) para hacer avanzar el electrodo de soldadura (4) a través de una longitud predeterminada, hasta alcanzar una posición predeterminada con respecto a la estructura de soporte (1). Una vez alcanzada la posición predeterminada del electrodo de soldadura (4), la unidad de control electrónica también está configurada para continuar accionando el accionador (12) para empujar el electrodo de soldadura (4) para hacer contacto con el componente que será soldado, controlando la absorción de corriente del motor eléctrico como un índice de la fuerza aplicada por el electrodo de soldadura al componente. Finalmente, después de alcanzar un valor predeterminado de dicha fuerza, las una o más unidades electrónicas mencionadas anteriormente están configuradas para suministrar corriente eléctrica a dichos electrodos (3, 4) por medio de dicho transformador eléctrico (2) para ejecutar una soldadura eléctrica por resistencia en dicho componente.
