Claims (23)
- 접합재에 의해 결속된 복수의 허니콤 부재로서, 각각이 외벽과, 상기 외벽의 내측에 형성된 격벽과, 상기 격벽에 의해 구획되어 유체의 유로로서 기능하는 복수의 셀을 갖는 상기 복수의 허니콤 부재와, 도포층으로 이루어지는 외측면을 구비하는 허니콤 구조체로서,상기 복수의 허니콤 부재 중, 각각이 상기 허니콤 구조체의 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면을 갖고, 각 수직 단면이 사각형인 복수의 제 1 허니콤 부재로 이루어지는 필터 코어부와,상기 필터 코어부의 외측에 배치된 필터 외주부로서, 상기 복수의 허니콤 부재 중, 각각이 상기 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면을 갖고, 각 수직 단면이 다른 형상인 복수의 제 2 허니콤 부재를 구비한 상기 필터 외주부와,상기 필터 코어부 및 상기 필터 외주부 중 어느 일방의 외측면과, 상기 도포층 사이에 형성된 충전층을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,각 제 1 허니콤 부재의 상기 수직 단면의 단면적을 S0 으로 표시하고, 상기 충전층의 상기 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면의 단면적을 S1 으로 표시했을 때, 상기 단면적 S0 에 대한 상기 단면적 S1 의 비율이 4% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 또는 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 충전층은, 상기 허니콤 구조체의 상기 외측면에 있어서, 상기 축선의 둘레에서 같은 각도 간격을 두어 배치된 복수의 충전층 중 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 허니콤 구조체는, 상기 외측면에 있어서, 상기 허니콤 구조체의 중심에 인접하는 제 1 허니콤 부재의 일 외면을 따른 연장선 상에 있는 0 도 위치와, 상기 O 도 위치로부터 상기 중심의 둘레에서 90도, 180도, 및 270도 만큼 각각 이간된 90도 위치, 180도 위치, 및 270도 위치를 갖고, 상기 복수의 충전층은, 상기 0도 위치, 상기 90도 위치, 상기 180도 위치, 및 상기 270도 위치에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 허니콤 구조체는, 상기 축선에 평행으로 연장되는 외면과, 상기 외면에 있어서, 상기 허니콤 구조체의 중심에 인접하는 제 1 허니콤 부재의 일 외면을 따른 연장선 상에 있는 0도 위치와, 상기 0도 위치로부터 45도, 135도, 225도, 및 315도 만큼 각각 이간된 45도 위치, 135도 위치, 225도 위치, 및 315도 위치를 갖고, 상기 복수의 충전층은, 상기 45도 위치, 상기 135도 위치, 상기 225도 위치, 및 상기 315도 위치에 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 충전층은, 상기 허니콤 구조체의 상기 외측면의 일부에 있어서, 상기 허니콤 구조체의 단면 사이에 걸쳐 상기 축선을 따라 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 6 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 충전층은 무기 입자를 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 7 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 충전층은 무기 섬유 및 무기 중공체의 적어도 일방을 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 8 항에 있어서,상기 무기 섬유는, 1 ∼ 40㎛ 의 평균 섬유 직경과, 10 ∼ 200㎛ 의 평균 섬유 길이를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 8 항 또는 제 9 항에 있어서,상기 무기 섬유의 탭 밀도는 55 ∼ 65g/㎤ 인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구 조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 10 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 충전층의 조성은, 상기 도포층의 조성과 동일한 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,각 허니콤 부재의 셀 밀도는 200 ∼ 300셀/평방 인치인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 12 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,각 격벽의 두께는 0.33㎜ 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 13 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면이 원 형상 또는 타원 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 14 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,각 격벽에 담지된 촉매를 추가로 구비하는 허니콤 구조체.
- 각각이 외벽과, 상기 외벽의 내측에 형성된 격벽과, 상기 격벽에 의해 구획되어 유체의 유로로서 기능하는 복수의 셀을 갖는 복수의 허니콤 부재를 접합재에 의해 결속시켜 집합체를 형성하는 집합체 형성 공정과,상기 집합체의 외측면의 소정 지점에 충전층을 형성하는 충전층 형성 공정과,상기 집합체의 외측면에 도포층을 도포하는 도포층 형성 공정을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 허니콤 구조체의 제조 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 집합체의 외측면을 절삭 가공하는 절삭 공정을 추가로 구비하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 집합체 형성 공정, 상기 충전층 형성 공정, 상기 절삭 공정, 및 상기 도포층 형성 공정의 순서로 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 17 항에 있어서,상기 집합체 형성 공정과 상기 절삭 공정을 실시하고, 그 후, 상기 충전층 형성 공정과 상기 도포층 형성 공정을 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 19 항에 있어서,상기 충전층 형성 공정과 상기 도포층 형성 공정을 동시에 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 복수의 허니콤 부재의 각각이 미리 소정 형상으로 형성되어 있는 경우, 상기 집합체 형성 공정을 실시하고, 그 후, 상기 충전층 형성 공정과 상기 도포층 형성 공정을 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 21 항에 있어서,상기 충전층 형성 공정과 상기 도포층 형성 공정을 동시에 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 16 항에 있어서,상기 집합체는,상기 복수의 허니콤 부재 중, 각각이 상기 허니콤 구조체의 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면을 갖고, 각 수직 단면이 사각형인 복수의 제 1 허니콤 부재로 이루어지는 필터 코어부와,상기 필터 코어부의 외측에 배치된 필터 외주부로서, 상기 복수의 허니콤 부재 중, 각각이 상기 축선에 직교하는 수직 단면을 갖고, 각 수직 단면이 다른 형상인 복수의 제 2 허니콤 부재를 구비한 상기 필터 외주부로 이루어지고,상기 제조 방법은, 상기 집합체 형성 공정에 앞서, 상기 복수의 허니콤 부재의 몇 개를 절삭 가공하여, 상기 복수의 제 2 허니콤 부재를 형성하는 공정을 추가로 구비하고,상기 집합체 형성 공정은, 상기 필터 코어부를 형성하는 공정과, 상기 필터 코어부의 주위에 상기 필터 외주부를 형성하는 공정을 포함하는 방법.
