Abstract
Description
まず、本発明の実施形態において加工の対象となるグリーンハニカム成形体について説明する。図1(a)に示すように、本実施形態に係るグリーンハニカム成形体70は、例えば、上面71a、下面71b及び側面71cを有し、上面71a及び下面71bに複数の六角形状の貫通孔である六角形セル70hが略平行に配置された円柱体である。グリーンハニカム成形体70は、後で焼成することにより多孔質のセラミックとなる未焼成成形体である。また、グリーンハニカム成形体70の六角形セル70hが延びる方向の長さは特に限定されないが、例えば、40〜400mmとすることができる。また、グリーンハニカム成形体70の外径も特に限定されないが、例えば、10〜360mmとすることできる。
以下、本実施形態の封口用治具について説明する。本実施形態においては、グリーンハニカム成形体70を焼成後にディーゼル粒子フィルタとした場合に、排ガスの供給側(入口側)となる上面71aと排ガスの排気側(出口側)となる下面71bとで異なる封口用突起を有する封口用治具が用いられるが、まず、排ガスの供給側(入口側)となる上面71aを封口するための封口用治具から説明する。
以下、本実施形態のグリーンハニカム成形体70の封口工程について説明する。まず、グリーンハニカム成形体70を焼成後にディーゼル粒子フィルタとした場合に、排ガスの供給側(入口側)となる上面71aの封口工程について説明する。
なお、封口用治具100の三角錐状基部111の三角柱側面部113が丸みを帯びずにほぼ平面形状である場合には、図13に代えて図14のように、封口部の隔壁の厚みをほぼ均一にすることができる。
Claims (3)
- 柱体の端面に互いに隔壁で区画された複数の孔が開口したハニカム構造体の製造方法であって、
前記柱体の前記端面に互いに隔壁で区画された複数の貫通孔が開口しているグリーンハニカム成形体の複数の前記貫通孔の一部に封口用治具を挿入することにより、前記隔壁同士を接合して前記貫通孔を封口する封口工程と、
前記封口工程で前記貫通孔の一部に挿入した前記封口用治具を前記貫通孔から抜去する抜去工程と、を備え、
前記封口工程では、一体化された前記封口用治具を複数の前記貫通孔に同時に挿入し、
前記抜去工程では、一体化された前記封口用治具の一部を分離し、前記封口工程で同時に前記封口用治具を挿入した前記貫通孔の一部から、分離された前記封口用治具を抜去する、ハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記封口工程では、前記貫通孔の一部に前記封口用治具を挿入することにより、前記端面から所定の長さにわたって前記隔壁同士が互いに平行な状態になるように接合する、請求項1に記載のハニカム構造体の製造方法。
- 柱体の端面に互いに隔壁で区画された複数の貫通孔が開口しているグリーンハニカム成形体の封口用治具であって、
基部と、
前記基部の複数の前記貫通孔の一部に対応した位置に配置され、複数の前記貫通孔の一部にそれぞれ挿入されることにより、前記隔壁同士を接合して前記貫通孔を封口する複数の封口用突起と、を備え、
前記基部は、複数の前記封口用突起の一部が配置された分離片を有し、
前記分離片は、前記基部との一体化が可能であり、且つ前記基部からの分離が可能である、グリーンハニカム成形体の封口用治具。
