Abstract
Description
(式中、R1及びR2は、それぞれ独立して、炭素数1〜9のフッ素置換されていてもよいアルキル基、ハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいフェニル基、及びハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよいシクロヘキシル基から成る群から選択され、但しこれらは共に環を形成してもよく、R3は、それぞれ独立して、H又はCH3を表し、xは0〜10を表す。)で表されるエーテル化合物と、アルカリ金属塩と、を含み、前記エーテル化合物と前記アルカリ金属塩との少なくとも一部が錯体を形成している電解液と、前記正極の対極であって、前記アルカリ金属、前記アルカリ金属を含む合金、又は炭素を有する負極と、を備え、前記結着剤はアニオン性高分子であって、酸性基を有する高分子、前記アルカリ金属を酸性基の対カチオンとするアルカリ金属塩型の高分子、又は前記アルカリ金属以外のイオンを酸性基の対カチオンとする非アルカリ金属イオン型の高分子であるアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池が記載されている。

(式中、R11及びR13は、同じか又は異なり、フッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキル基、但しR11及びR13のうち、少なくとも一方はフッ素原子を有する。R12はフッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキレン基。n11は0、1又は2。)で示されるフッ素化エーテルを含有することを特徴とする電解液である。

上記アルキル基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
n11が2の場合、2つのR12のアルキレン基は、同じであっても異なってもよい。
上記アルキレン基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
上記フッ素化アルキル基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
上記フッ素化アルコキシ基としては、炭素数が1〜10のものが好ましく、炭素数が1〜6のものがより好ましく、炭素数が1〜4のものが更に好ましい。
上記フッ素化アルコキシ基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
この場合、R21〜R24の少なくとも1つは、−F、−CF3、−C4F9、−CHF2、−CH2F、−CH2CF2CF3、−CH2−CF(CF3)2、−CH2−O−CH2CHF2F2H、−CH2CF3、及び、−CF2CF3からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である。
上記アルキル基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
この場合、R31及びR32の少なくとも一方は、−CF3、−CHF2、−CH2F、−CH2CHF2、−CH2CF3、及び、−CH2CF2CF2Hからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である。
上記アルキル基は、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状であってよい。
この場合、R41及びR42の少なくとも一方は、−CHF2、−CH(CF3)2、−CHFCF3、−CF3、及び、−CH2CF3からなる群より選択される少なくとも1種である。
上記電解液は、非水電解液であることが好ましい。
上記電解質塩としては、リチウム塩、アンモニウム塩、金属塩のほか、液体状の塩(イオン性液体)、無機高分子型の塩、有機高分子型の塩等、電解液に使用することができる任意のものを用いることができる。
上記リチウム塩として任意のものを用いることができ、具体的には以下のものが挙げられる。例えば、LiPF6、LiBF4、LiClO4、LiAlF4、LiSbF6、LiTaF6、LiWF7等の無機リチウム塩;
LiWOF5等のタングステン酸リチウム類;
HCO2Li、CH3CO2Li、CH2FCO2Li、CHF2CO2Li、CF3CO2Li、CF3CH2CO2Li、CF3CF2CO2Li、CF3CF2CF2CO2Li、CF3CF2CF2CF2CO2Li等のカルボン酸リチウム塩類;

LiN(FCO)2、LiN(FCO)(FSO2)、LiN(FSO2)2、LiN(FSO2)(CF3SO2)、LiN(CF3SO2)2、LiN(C2F5SO2)2、リチウム環状1,2−パーフルオロエタンジスルホニルイミド、リチウム環状1,3−パーフルオロプロパンジスルホニルイミド、LiN(CF3SO2)(C4F9SO2)等のリチウムイミド塩類;
LiC(FSO2)3、LiC(CF3SO2)3、LiC(C2F5SO2)3等のリチウムメチド塩類;
リチウムジフルオロオキサラトボレート、リチウムビス(オキサラト)ボレート等のリチウムオキサラトボレート塩類;
リチウムテトラフルオロオキサラトフォスフェート、リチウムジフルオロビス(オキサラト)フォスフェート、リチウムトリス(オキサラト)フォスフェート等のリチウムオキサラトフォスフェート塩類;
その他、式:LiPFa(CnF2n+1)6−a(式中、aは0〜5の整数であり、nは1〜6の整数である)で表される塩(例えばLiPF4(CF3)2、LiPF4(C2F5)2)、LiPF4(CF3SO2)2、LiPO2F2、LiPF4(C2F5SO2)2、LiBF3CF3、LiBF3C2F5、LiBF3C3F7、LiBF2(CF3)2、LiBF2(C2F5)2、LiBF2(CF3SO2)2、LiBF2(C2F5SO2)2等の含フッ素有機リチウム塩類;等が挙げられる。

(電解液の調製)
表1及び表2に記載の組成になるように、各成分を混合し、これにリチウム塩を1.0モル/リットルの濃度となるように添加して、非水電解液を得た。
炭素材料(細孔体積比を表1及び表2に示す)及び正極活物質として所定の硫黄を含有した炭素複合材料(硫黄の含有量は65質量%)、導電材としてカーボンブラック、純水で分散させたカルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、及び、スチレン−ブタジエンゴムを固形分比で90/5/2.5/2.5(質量%比)になるよう混合した正極合剤スラリーを準備した。厚さ20μmのアルミ箔集電体上に、得られた正極合剤スラリーを均一に塗布し、乾燥した後、プレス機により圧縮成形して、正極とした。正極積層体を打ち抜き機で直径1.6cmの大きさに打ち抜き、円状の正極を作製した。
得られたコイン型アルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池について、次の要領でサイクル性能及びLi2S8の放電プラトーの割合を調べた。
上記で製造した二次電池を、25℃において、0.1Cに相当する電流で3.0Vまで定電流充電した後、0.1Cの定電流で1.0Vまで放電し、これを1サイクルとして、1サイクル目の放電容量から初期放電容量を求めた。ここで、1Cとは電池の基準容量を1時間で放電する電流値を表わし、例えば、0.1Cとはその1/10の電流値を表わす。再度サイクルを行い、50サイクル後の放電容量をサイクル後の容量とした。初期放電容量に対する50サイクル後の放電容量の割合を求め、これをサイクル容量維持率(%)とした。
サイクル容量維持率(%)=(50サイクル後の放電容量)/(初期放電容量)×100
カンタクローム・インスツルメンツ社製比表面積/細孔分布測定装置(Autosorb)を用いて、炭素複合材料に含まれる炭素材料の窒素吸着等温線を取得し、上記窒素吸着等温線から、急冷固相密度関数法(QSDFT法)により、ミクロ孔とメソ孔との細孔体積の比を求めた。
サイクル試験における2サイクル目での放電カーブより、2.2V程度に生じるプラトーをLi2S8を伴う反応による放電とし、2.0V以下で生じるプラトーをその他の反応による放電プラトーと定義し、放電容量全体からLi2S8を伴う反応による放電割合を算出した。

Claims (7)
- 炭素材料と硫黄を含む正極活物質とを含む炭素複合材料を含む正極を備えるアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池用の電解液であって、
前記炭素材料が、1.5以上の細孔体積比(ミクロ孔/メソ孔)を有しており、
式(1):R11−(OR12)n11−O−R13
(式中、R11及びR13は、同じか又は異なり、フッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキル基、但しR11及びR13のうち、少なくとも一方はフッ素原子を有する。R12はフッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキレン基。n11は0、1又は2。)で示されるフッ素化エーテルを含有することを特徴とする電解液。 - 更に、フッ素化飽和環状カーボネート、フッ素化鎖状カーボネート及びフッ素化エステルからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含有し、前記フッ素化飽和環状カーボネートが、式(2):
- 正極、負極、及び、請求項1又は2記載の電解液を備えるアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池。
- 正極、負極、及び、電解液を備えるアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池であって、
前記正極は、炭素材料と硫黄を含む正極活物質とを含む炭素複合材料を含み、前記炭素材料が、1.5以上の細孔体積比(ミクロ孔/メソ孔)を有しており、
前記電解液は、
式(1):R11−(OR12)n11−O−R13
(式中、R11及びR13は、同じか又は異なり、フッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキル基、但しR11及びR13のうち、少なくとも一方はフッ素原子を有する。R12はフッ素原子を有していてもよいアルキレン基。n11は0、1又は2。)で示されるフッ素化エーテルを含有することを特徴とするアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池。 - 前記電解液は、更に、フッ素化飽和環状カーボネート、フッ素化鎖状カーボネート及びフッ素化エステルからなる群より選択される少なくとも1種を含有し、前記フッ素化飽和環状カーボネートが、式(2):
- 前記アルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池の2サイクル目以降の主な放電プラトーが1段であり、Li2S8を伴う反応が全体の放電の5%以下を示す請求項4又は5記載のアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池。
- 請求項3、4、5又は6記載のアルカリ金属−硫黄系二次電池を備えることを特徴とするモジュール。
