Description
この特許協力条約特許出願は、2012年10月30日出願の米国仮特許出願第61/720,373号、「Low−Travel Key Mechanisms Using Butterfly Hinges」の利益及びそれに対する優先権を主張する、2013年10月21日出願の米国非仮出願第14/058,448号、「Low−Travel Key Mechanisms Using Butterfly Hinges」に対する優先権を主張するものであり、これらの開示全体が本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (18)
- キー機構であって、
キーキャップアセンブリと、
支持構造体と、
第1のウイング、前記第1のウイングに隣接する第2のウイング、及び、前記第1のウイングと前記第2のウイングとの間に空胴が形成されるように、前記第1のウイングを前記第2のウイングに枢動可能に結合させるリビングヒンジを備え、前記第1のウイング及び前記第2のウイングの各々が、
前記支持構造体に枢動可能に結合するピボットピンのペア、及び、
前記キーキャップアセンブリに枢動可能に結合するキーキャップアセンブリピンのペアを含むバタフライヒンジと、
を備える、キー機構。 - 前記キーキャップアセンブリと前記支持構造体との間の前記空胴内に固定されたスイッチを更に備え、前記スイッチが前記キーキャップアセンブリを第1の位置内に付勢させるように動作する、請求項1に記載のキー機構。
- 前記スイッチが、フレキシブル回路基板に動作可能に接続されたドームスイッチを含む、請求項2に記載のキー機構。
- 前記キーキャップアセンブリが、
キーキャップと、
前記キーキャップの背面に結合された下部構造体と、
を含む、請求項1に記載のキー機構。 - 前記下部構造体が導光パネルを含む、請求項4に記載のキー機構。
- 前記支持構造体に結合されたウェブを更に備え、前記ウェブが、前記キーキャップアセンブリ及び前記バタフライヒンジが前記ウェブの内部領域内に嵌合するように寸法取りされた、請求項1に記載のキー機構。
- キー機構であって、
キーキャップアセンブリと、
支持構造体と、
各ウイングが前記キーキャップアセンブリ及び前記支持構造体に結合され、独立して関節運動し、リビングヒンジにより結合する2つのウイングを有するバタフライヒンジと、
を備え、各ウイングが前記キー機構のキーストローク中に、その独自のピボット軸を中心に回転するように動作する、キー機構。 - 両方のウイングの前記ピボット軸が、押下及び非押下位置の両方の間、同じ平面内に固定されたままになる、請求項7に記載のキー機構。
- 非押下位置にあるときに、前記ウイングが互いに関連してvリンクを形成し、
押下位置にあるときに、前記ウイングの両方が実質的に互いと同じ平面上にある、請求項7に記載のキー機構。 - 押下位置と非押下位置との間で移動するように動作するキー機構であって、
キーキャップアセンブリと、
互いに隣接して配置された2つの別個のウイングを含み、空洞を形成し、各ウイングが、
ピボットピンのペア、及び、
前記キーキャップアセンブリに結合するキーキャップアセンブリピンのペアを備えるバタフライヒンジと、
各ウイングの前記ピボットピンのペアを固定するための保持部材を有する、前記空洞の内部に嵌合するように適合されるキャリアプレートと、
を備えるキー機構。 - 前記キャリアプレートが複数のアップストップ突起を更に含み、かつ前記バタフライヒンジが複数のアップストップを備え、前記キー機構が前記非押下位置にあるときに、前記バタフライヒンジが所定の位置を越えて移動することを防止するために前記アップストップ突起が前記アップストップに係合する、請求項10に記載のキー機構。
- 前記キャリアプレートに固定された回路基板を更に備える、請求項10に記載のキー機構。
- 前記キャリアプレートが、前記キャリアプレートの底面から延在する複数のポストを含み、かつ前記回路基板が前記ポストを受容するように寸法取りされた複数の空胴を含む、請求項12に記載のキー機構。
- 前記回路基板が複数の切欠きを含み、前記切欠きが、前記キー機構が前記押下位置にあるときに前記キーキャップアセンブリのピン受容部材を受容するように寸法取りされた、請求項12に記載のキー機構。
- 前記バタフライヒンジが、
2つの独立したウイングと、
前記ウイングを結合する2つの結合ヒンジと、
を更に含む、請求項10に記載のキー機構。 - 前記結合ヒンジがリビングヒンジ又はギヤヒンジである、請求項15に記載のキー機構。
- バタフライアセンブリであって、
各ウイングがピボットピンのペア、及び、キーキャップアセンブリピンのペアを備える第1及び第2のウイングと、
前記第1及び第2のウイングの端部にオーバーモールドされる適合材料を備え、それによって前記第1及び第2のウイングを屈曲可能に結合する第1及び第2のヒンジと、
前記第1のウイングと前記第2のウイングとの間に、形成される空胴と、
を備える、バタフライアセンブリ。 - 前記第1及び第2のヒンジが実質的に薄い屈曲可能な部分を含む、請求項17に記載のバタフライアセンブリ。
