Claims (4)
- 内周に複数のアウタレースを有する外方部材と、前記アウタレースと対向する複数のインナレースを有し、ホイールを取り付けるための車輪取付フランジが外周面に形成されたハブ輪を含む内方部材と、対向するアウタレースとインナレースとの間に配置された複数列の転動体と、ハブ輪と結合された外側継手部材とを備える車輪用軸受ユニットにおいて、
ホイールの内周に嵌合するパイロット部を、ハブ輪以外の別部材に設け、
ハブ輪を冷間鍛造で中空状に形成し、車輪取付フランジのアウトボード側端面をハブ輪の中で最もアウトボード側に設け、ハブ輪の内周面に、軸方向に延びる軸方向内周面と、インボード側が縮径し、インボード側の端部が前記軸方向内周面につながると共に、アウトボード側の端部が前記車輪取付フランジのアウトボード側端面につながったテーパ状内周面とを設けたことを特徴とする車輪用軸受ユニット。 - 前記外側継手部材を含むアウトボード側等速自在継手を備え、外方部材の外周面が車体側のナックル部材の内周面に嵌合組込みされ、アウトボード側等速自在継手の最大外径寸法がナックル部材の最小内径寸法よりも小さい請求項1記載の車輪用軸受ユニット。
- ハブ輪およびアウトボード側等速自在継手の外側継手部材のうち、何れか一方に設けられた雄部を、他方に設けられ、雄部と異形の雌部に圧入することにより、ハブ輪と外側継手部材とを塑性結合した請求項2記載の車輪用軸受ユニット。
- 請求項1〜3の何れかに記載した車輪用軸受ユニットと、ブレーキロータとを備え、ブレーキロータにパイロット部を設けたことを特徴とする車輪支持装置。
