Description
LixMyPO4で表される化合物のうち、例えばLiFePO4をリチウムイオン電池の正極に用いることが、特開平9−171827号公報において提案されている。
実験1では、一般式LixMyPO4で表される化合物を正極活物質として作製し、この正極活物質を用いた非水電解液二次電池をテストセルとして作製し、種々の特性を評価した。
まず、正極活物質としてLiFePO4を、焼成温度を600℃として合成した。
焼成温度を400℃としたこと以外は、サンプル1と同様にして正極活物質を合成し、この正極活物質を用いて、テストセルを作製した。
焼成温度を500℃としたこと以外は、サンプル1と同様にして正極活物質を合成し、この正極活物質を用いて、テストセルを作製した。
焼成温度を700℃としたこと以外は、サンプル1と同様にして正極活物質を合成し、この正極活物質を用いて、テストセルを作製した。
焼成温度を800℃としたこと以外は、サンプル1と同様にして正極活物質を合成し、この正極活物質を用いて、テストセルを作製した。

ゴニオメータ:縦型標準、半径185mm
カウンタモノクロメータ:使用
フィルタ:使用しない
スリット幅:
ダイバージェントスリット(DS)=1°
レシービングスリット(RS)=1°
スキャッタリングスリット(SS)=0.15mm
計数装置:シンチレーションカウンタ
測定法:反射法、連続スキャン
走査範囲:2θ=10°〜80°
スキャンスピード:4°/分
サンプル1〜サンプル5で合成されたLiFePO4の粉末X線回折パターンを図2に示す。図2から、サンプル1〜サンプル5で合成されたLiFePO4では、生成物中にLiFePO4以外の不純物の存在は確認されず、いずれも単相のLiFePO4が得られていることがわかる。
焼成温度を320℃としたこと以外は、サンプル1と同様にしてLiFePO4を合成し、得られたLiFePO4を正極活物質として用いて、テストセルを作製した。
実験2では、上述した実験1で作製した正極活物質のうち、メスバウア効果の観測されるFeを含有し、焼成温度が320℃であるサンプル6、焼成温度が400℃であるサンプル2、焼成温度が600℃であるサンプル1のLiFePO4に対して、メスバウア分光法を用いてメスバウアスペクトルを測定した。
Claims (2)
- 一般式Li x (Fe y Mn 1−y )PO 4 (ただし、xが0.9≦x≦1.1の範囲であり、yが0<y≦1の範囲である。)で表される化合物の合成原料を混合して前駆体とする混合工程と、
上記混合工程で得られた上記前駆体を焼成して反応させる焼成工程とを有し、
上記焼成工程で、400℃以上、600℃以下の範囲の温度で上記前駆体を焼成する正極活物質の製造方法。 - 上記Li x (Fe y Mn 1−y )PO 4 は、LiFePO4である請求項1記載の正極活物質の製造方法。
