Description
ここで、正極は、一般式(1):LiM1-xLxO2で表される正極活物質を含む。式(1)中のxは、0.005≦x≦0.1を満たし、元素Mは、Mn、CoおよびNiよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種であり、元素Lは、金属元素および半金属元素よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種であり、元素Mと元素Lとは異なる元素である。
また、非水電解質は、一般式(2):
式(2)中、R1、R2およびR3は、それぞれ独立で、アリール基、炭素数1〜5のアルキル基、炭素数1〜5のアルケニル基または炭素数1〜5のアルキニル基である。
次に、本発明を実施例に基づいて具体的に説明するが、本発明は以下の実施例に限定されるものではない。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)とを体積比1:3で混合し、非水溶媒として用いた。この非水溶媒100重量部に対し、ホスフィネート化合物として、エチルジエチルホスフィネート(EDEPP)を1重量部添加した。そして、EDEPPを含む非水溶媒に、1.0mol/Lの濃度でLiPF6を溶解して、非水電解質とした。
元素MとしてCoを含み、元素LとしてMgを含む正極活物質:LiCo0.95Mg0.05O2を調製した。
この正極活物質の粉末85重量部と、導電剤のアセチレンブラック10重量部と、結着剤のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂5重量部とを、混合し、混合物を脱水N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて、正極合剤スラリーを調製した。この正極合剤スラリーを、アルミニウム箔からなる正極集電体上に塗布し、乾燥した。その後、正極合剤の塗膜を圧延して、正極を得た。
人造黒鉛粉末75重量部と、導電剤のアセチレンブラック20重量部と、結着剤のポリフッ化ビニリデン樹脂5重量部とを、混合し、混合物を脱水N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて、負極合剤スラリーを調製した。この負極合剤スラリーを、銅箔からなる負極集電体上に塗布し、乾燥した。その後、負極合剤の塗膜を圧延して、負極を得た。
以下の要領で円筒型電池を作製した。得られた電池の縦断面図を図1に示す。
上記の正極板11と負極板12とを、セパレータ13を介して渦巻状に捲回して、極板群を作製した。得られた極板群は、ニッケルメッキが施された鉄製電池ケース18内に収納した。その際、極板群の上部および下部には、それぞれ絶縁板16および17を配した。正極11からはアルミニウム製正極リード14を引き出して、正極端子20に導通した封口板19の裏面に接続した。負極12からはニッケル製負極リード15を引き出して、電池ケース18の底部に接続した。所定の非水電解質を電池ケース18内に注液し、封口板19を用いて電池ケース18の開口部を密封した。
得られた電池の充放電サイクルを45℃で繰り返し、3サイクル目の放電容量を100%とみなして、500サイクルを経過した電池の容量維持率を算出した。結果を表1に示す。
また、上記組成で表される正極活物質同士の混合物、あるいは上記組成で表される正極活物質と、それ以外のLiCoO2などの正極活物質との混合物を用いても、同様の良好な結果が得られた。
Claims (5)
- リチウムの吸蔵・放出が可能な正極、リチウムの吸蔵・放出が可能な負極、前記正極と前記負極との間に介在するセパレータおよび非水電解質を具備する非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記正極は、一般式(1):LiM1-xLxO2で表される正極活物質を含み、
前記式(1)中、xは、0.005≦x≦0.1を満たし、元素Mは、Mn、CoおよびNiよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種であり、元素Lは、金属元素および半金属元素よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種であり、元素Mと元素Lとは異なる元素であり、
前記非水電解質が、一般式(2):
前記式(2)中、R1、R2およびR3は、それぞれ独立で、アリール基、炭素数1〜5のアルキル基、炭素数1〜5のアルケニル基または炭素数1〜5のアルキニル基である非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記元素Lが、Mg、Al、Ti、Sr、Zn、B、Ca、Cr、Si、Ga、Sn、P、V、Sb、Nb、Ta、Mo、W、Zr、YおよびFeよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記元素Lが、Mg、Al、TiおよびSrよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記ホスフィネート化合物が、エチルジエチルホスフィネートを含む請求項1記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記非水電解質が、さらに、ビニレンカーボネートおよびビニルエチレンカーボネートよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含む請求項1記載の非水電解質二次電池。
