キャリブレーションは、受信機においてノイズフロアーに対して与えられた利得である、ダウンリンクチャネルおよびアップリンクチャネルのための「正規化された」利得に基いて実行されてもよい。正規化された利得を使用することは、ダウンリンクとアップリンクがキャリブレートされた後で、他方のリンクのための利得測定に基いて、一方のリンクの特性(例えば、チャネル利得および空間チャネルあたりのSNR)を取得することを可能にする。
キャリブレーションの場合、MIMOパイロットはユーザー端末によってアップリンクに送信され、アクセスポイントがアップリンクチャネル応答を推定することを可能にし、MIMOパイロットはアクセスポイントによりダウンリンクに送信されユーザー端末がダウンリンクチャネル応答を推定することを可能にする。MIMOパイロットはNTの送信アンテナから送信されたNTのパイロット送信から構成されるパイロットである。この場合、各送信アンテナからのパイロット送信は受信ステーションにより識別可能である。MIMOパイロットはさまざまな方法で発生され送信されてもよい。同じかまたは異なるMIMOパイロットがダウンリンクおよびアップリンクに使用されてもよい。いずれの場合も、ダウンリンクとアップリンクに使用されるMIMOパイロットはアクセスポイントとユーザー端末の両方で知られる。

但し、gはパイロットのための利得である。{}内の値は(第1のラインのための)−32乃至−1および(第2のラインのための)0乃至+31に対して与えられる。従って、P(real)とP(imag)のための第1のラインは、シンボル(−1−j)がサブバンド−26で送信され、シンボル(−1+j)がサブバンド−25で送信されるなどであることを示す。P(real)とP(imag)のための第2のラインは、シンボル(1−j)がサブバンド1で送信され、シンボル(−1−j)はサブバンド2で送信されるなどであることを示す。また、他のOFDMシンボルはMIMOパイロットに使用されてもよい。
ダウンリンクチャネル応答とアップリンクチャネル応答との間の相関は、TDD MIMOシステムおよびTDD MIMO−OFDMシステムのためのアクセスポイントとユーザー端末におけるチャネル推定と空間処理を簡単にするために利用されてもよい。
また、所定のリンク上のデータ送信は、送信ステーションにおいて訂正マトリクスを適用し、受信ステーションにおいてMMSE受信機を用いることにより得てもよい。例えば、ダウンリンク上のデータ送信は、補正率をアクセスポイントにおける送信側にのみ適用し、ユーザー端末においてMMSE受信機を用いることにより得てもよい。簡単にするために、記述は単一サブバンドのためのものであり、サブバンドインデックスkは方程式において省略される。キャリブレートされたダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答は以下のように与えられてもよい。
図5は、TDD MIMO−OFDMシステム内のアクセスポイント502およびユーザー端末504の一実施形態のブロック図を示す。簡単にするために、以下の記載は、アクセスポイントとユーザー端末が各々データ送信およびデータ受信に使用してもよい4つのアンテナを装備していると仮定する。
Claims (16)
- 無線時分割デュプレックス(TDD)通信システムにおける通信リンクをキャリブレートする方法であって、
アクセスポイントの複数の送信アンテナから送信されそしてユーザー端末の複数の受信アンテナによって受信される多重入力多重出力(MIMO)パイロットに基づいて、ダウンリンクチャネルのためのダウンリンクチャネル応答推定値を得ること、
アクセスポイントによって導き出されそして前記ダウンリンクチャネル上でユーザー端末に送信される、アップリンクチャネルのためのアップリンクチャネル応答推定値を受信すること、
前記アクセスポイントのための補正率の第1のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末のための補正率の第2のマトリクスを、前記ダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて、決定すること、
前記補正率の第1のマトリクスを前記アクセスポイントに送信すること、
前記ユーザー端末からの送信を補正することにおける使用のための補正率の第3のマトリクスおよび前記アクセスポイントから受信される送信を補正するための補正率の第4のマトリクスを、前記補正率の第2のマトリクスに基づいて、導き出すこと、
を備えた方法。 - 前記アップリンクチャネル上で送信される送信を空間的に処理するために前記補正率の第3のマトリクスを適用すること、
前記ダウンリンクチャネル上で受信される送信を空間的に処理するために前記補正率の第4のマトリクスを適用すること、
をさらに備えた、請求項1の方法。 - 無線時分割デュプレックス(TDD)通信システムにおける通信リンクをキャリブレートするための装置であって、
アクセスポイントの複数の送信アンテナによって送信されそしてユーザー端末の複数の受信アンテナによって受信される多重入力多重出力(MIMO)パイロットに基づいて、ダウンリンクチャネルのためのダウンリンクチャネル応答推定値を得るための手段と、
前記アクセスポイントによって導きだされそして前記ダウンリンクチャネル上で前記ユーザー端末に送信される、アップリンクチャネルのためのアップリンクチャネル応答推定値を受信するための手段と、
前記アクセスポイントのための補正率の第1のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末のための補正率の第2のマトリクスを、前記ダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて、決定するための手段と、
前記補正率の第1のマトリクスを前記アクセスポイントに送信するための手段と、
前記ユーザー端末からの送信を補正することにおける使用のための補正率の第3のマトリクスおよび前記アクセスポイントから受信される送信を補正するための補正率の第4のマトリクスを、前記補正率の第2のマトリクスに基づいて、導き出すための手段と、
を備えた装置。 - ソフトウエアコードを記憶したメモリユニットを含み無線時分割デュプレックス(TDD)通信システムにおける通信リンクをキャリブレートするためのコンピュータ読取り可能プログラムであって、前記ソフトウエアコードは、
アクセスポイントの複数の送信アンテナから送信されそしてユーザー端末の複数の受信アンテナによって受信される多重入力多重出力(MIMO)パイロットに基づいて、ダウンリンクチャネルのためのダウンリンクチャネル応答推定値を得ること、
前記アクセスポイントによって導き出されそして前記ダウンリンクチャネル上で前記ユーザー端末に送信される、アップリンクチャネルのためのアップリンクチャネル応答推定値を受信すること、
前記アクセスポイントのための補正率の第1のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末のための補正率の第2のマトリクスを、前記ダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて、決定すること、
前記補正率の第1のマトリクスを前記アクッセスポイントに送信することと、
前記ユーザー端末からの送信を補正することにおける使用のための補正率の第3のマトリクスおよび前記アクセスポイントから受信される送信を補正するための補正率の第4のマトリクスを、前記補正率の第2のマトリクスに基づいて、導き出すこと、
のためにプロセッサによって実行可能である、コンピュータ読取り可能プログラム。 - 無線時分割デュプレックス(TDD)通信システムにおける通信リンクをキャリブレートする方法であって、
ユーザー端末の複数の送信アンテナから送信されそしてアクセスポイントの複数の受信アンテナによって受信される多重入力多重出力(MIMO)パイロットに基づいて、アップリンクチャネルのためのアップリンクチャネル応答推定値を得ること、
前記アップリンクチャネル応答推定値をダウンリンクチャネル上で前記ユーザー端末に送信すること、
前記ダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて前記ユーザー端末において導き出されるアクセスポイントのための補正率のマトリクスを、前記アップリンクチャネル上で、受信すること、
前記ユーザー端末への送信を補正することにおける使用のための送信補正率のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末から受信される送信を補正するための受信補正率のマトリクスを、前記補正率のマトリクスに基づいて、導き出すこと、
を備えた方法。 - 前記ダウンリンクチャネル上で送信される送信を空間的に処理するために前記送信補正率のマトリクスを適用すること、
前記アップリンクチャネル上で受信される送信を空間的に処理するために前記受信補正率のマトリクスを適用すること、
をさらに備えた、請求項9の方法。 - 無線時分割デュプレックス(TDD)通信システムにおける通信リンクをキャリブレートするための装置であって、
ユーザー端末の複数の送信アンテナから送信されそしてアプセスポイントの複数の受信アンテナによって受信される多重入力多重出力(MIMO)パイロットに基づいて、アップリンクチャネルのためのアップリンクチャネル応答推定値を得るための手段と、
前記アップリンクチャネル応答推定値をダウンリンクチャネル上で前記ユーザー端末に送信するための手段と、
前記ダウンリクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて前記ユーザー端末において導き出される前記アクセスポイントのための補正率のマトリクスを、前記アップリンクチャネル上で、受信するための手段と、
前記ユーザー端末への送信を補正することにおける使用のための送信補正率のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末から受信される送信を補正するための受信補正率のマトリクスを、前記補正率マトリクスに基づいて、導き出すための手段と、

前記ダウンリンクおよびアップリンクチャネル応答推定値に基づいて前記ユーザー端末において導き出される前記アクセスポイントのための補正率のマトリクスを、前記アップリンクチャネル上で、受信すること、
前記ユーザー端末への送信を補正することにおける使用のための送信補正率のマトリクスおよび前記ユーザー端末から受信される送信を補正するための受信補正率のマトリクスを、前記補正率のマトリクスに基づいて、導き出すこと、
のためにプロセッサによって実行可能である、コンピュータ読取り可能プログラム。
