Abstract

"DETECçãO E DEMODULAçãO DE DADOS PARA SISTEMAS DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO". A presente invenção apresenta técnicas para detectar e demodular transmissões de dados em sistemas de comunicação sem fio. Em um aspecto, um detector orientado à decisão detecta transmissões de dados em um sinal recebido mediante utilização de símbolos de dados recebidos bem como símbolos piloto recebidos. O detector orientado à decisão pode ser projetado para executar detecção diferencial no domínio da freq³ência ou detecção coerente no domínio do tempo, e pode ser usado com modulação de multi-portadora (por exemplo, OFDM). Em outro aspecto, um limite adaptativo é usado para executar detecção de transmissões de dados recebidas. Um limite pode ser determinado para cada transmissão hipotética de dados que tenha sido recebida. Como exemplo, o limite pode ser computado com base no sinal mais energia de ruído da transmissão hipotética de dados.
