式中、ベンゼン環は、#記号により印される位置の一つでスピロビフルオレン基に結合し;および
式中、N(Ar1)2は、#記号により印される位置の一つでベンゼン環に結合する。
好ましくは、R2は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、CN、Si(R4)3、1〜20個の炭素原子を有する直鎖アルキル基、3〜20個の炭素原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキル基、6〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族環構造および5〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する複素環式芳香族環構造から選ばれ;ここで、前記アルキル基および前記芳香族環構造および複素環式芳香族環構造は、夫々1以上のR4基により置換されてよい。より好ましくは、R2は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、F、メチル、エチル、プロピル、ブチル、tert-ブチル、フェニル、ビフェニル、テルフェニル、ナフチル、カルバゾリル、ベンゾフラニル、ベンゾチオフェニル、ジベンゾフラニル、ジベンゾチオフェニル、9,9'-ジメチルフルオレニルおよび9,9'-ジフェニルフルオレニルから選ばれる。最も好ましくは、R2は、Hである。

Ar=芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造
代替として、本発明の化合物は、第1工程で、反応性基で2置換されたベンゼン化合物をブッフバルト反応で、まず一方の基を変換して、反応性基とアミノ基とを担持するベンゼン化合物を得る。第2工程で、スピロビフルオレン単位が、スズキ反応でベンゼン化合物の残りの反応性基と、次いで結合する(スキーム2)。
さらに、スピロビフルオレン上の反応性基は、好ましくは、ハロゲン原子、より好ましくは、臭素原子である。さらに、ベンゼン誘導体上の反応性基は、好ましくは、ハロゲン原子、より好ましくは、塩素からおよびボロン酸誘導体から選ばれる。
さらに、スピロビフルオレン上の反応性基は、好ましくは、ハロゲン原子、より好ましくは、臭素原子である。さらに、ベンゼン誘導体上の反応性基は、好ましくは、ハロゲン原子、より好ましくは、塩素からおよびボロン酸誘導体から選ばれる。
適切な重合反応は、当業者に知られ、文献に記載されている。C-CまたはC-N結合を生じる、特に適切で好ましい重合反応は、スズキ重合、ヤマモト重合、スチル重合およびハートウイッグ-ブッフバルト重合である。
その場合に、化合物は、好ましくは、正孔輸送層、電子ブロック層または正孔注入層に存在する。特に好ましいのは、電子ブロック層での使用である。
願EP 15180777.3に開示されたインデノベンゾフランならびに未公開出願EP 15182962.9に開示されたフェナンスリルアントラセンである。

いくつかの用途のためには、少なくとも一つの電極は、有機材料の照射(有機ソーラーセル)もしくは光のアウトカップリング(OLED、O−laser)の何れかを可能とするために、透明または部分的に透明でなければならない。ここで、好ましいアノード材料は、伝導性混合金属酸化物である。特に好ましいものは、インジウム錫酸化物(ITO)もしくはインジウム亜鉛酸化物(IZO)である。さらに好ましいものは、伝導性のドープされた有機材料、特別に、伝導性のドープされたポリマーである。さらに、アノードは、2個以上の層、たとえば、ITOの内部層と金属酸化物、好ましくは、タングステン酸化物、モリブデン酸化物またはバナジウム酸化物の外部層から成ってもよい。
A)合成例
A1)例1
化合物ビス(ビフェニル-3-イル)[4-(9,9-スピロビフルオレン-4-イル)フェニル]アミン(1−1)と、化合物(1−2)〜(1−17)の合成
21.7g(139ミリモル)の4-クロロベンゼンボロン酸と、50g(126ミリモル)の4-ブロモ-9,9-スピロビフルオレンと、208mlの2M K2CO3水溶液(416ミリモル)とを300mlのテトラヒドロフランに懸濁させる。この懸濁液に、1.45g(1.26ミリモル)のテトラキス(トリフェニル)ホスフィン-パラジウム(0)を添加する。反応混合物を環流下で16時間、加熱する。冷ました後、有機相を除去し、シリカゲルを通して濾過し、300mlの水で三回洗浄し、次いで濃縮乾固させる。粗生成物を、ヘプタン/酢酸エチル(20:1)とともに、シリカゲルを通して濾過した後、48g(89%)の4-(3-クロロフェニル)-9,9-スピロビフルオレンが得られる。
15.1gのビス(ビフェニル-4-イル)アミン(46.8ミリモル)と、20gの4-(3-クロロフェニル)-9,9-スピロビフルオレン(46.8ミリモル)とを、300mlのトルエン中に溶解させる。溶液を脱気し、N2で飽和させる。その後、2.34ml(2.34ミリモル)の1M トリ-tert-ブチルホスフィン溶液と、0.26g(1.17ミリモル)の酢酸パラジウム(II)をそれに添加する。その後、11.2gのナトリウムtert-ブトキシド(117ミリモル)を添加する。反応混合物を保護雰囲気下で4時間、加熱して沸騰させる。その後、混合物をトルエンと水との間で分画し、有機相を水で三回洗浄し、Na2SO4により乾燥させ、ロータリー蒸発により濃縮させる。粗生成物をトルエンとともに、シリカゲルを通して濾過した後、残された残留物をヘプタン/トルエンから再結晶化させ、最後に、高真空で昇華させる。純度は99.9%である。収率は23g(理論値の71%)である。
本発明のOLEDと先行技術のOLEDとが、WO 04/058911による一般的方法により製造されるが、ここに記載される状況(たとえば材料、層厚)に適合される。
その他の点で同じ構造である素子C1、I1、I3の比較は、本発明の化合物HTM1(I1)とHTM2(I3)を含む素子が、効率について、比較化合物HTMC1(C1)を含む比較素子よりも、著しく良好な値を示すことを明らかにしている。これはパラ-フェニレン基と比べて、オルト-またはメタ-フェニレン基の導入によって実現される改善を示している。

式中、ベンゼン環は、#記号により印される位置の一つでスピロビフルオレン基に結合し;および
式中、N(Ar1)2基は、#記号により印される位置の一つでベンゼン環に結合する。 - R1基がスピロビフルオレン基本骨格に結合しないか、またはH以外の丁度1個のR1基もしくはH以外の丁度2個のR1基がスピロビフルオレン基本骨格に結合することを特徴とする、請求項1記載の化合物。
- R2は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、F、メチル、エチル、プロピル、ブチル、tert-ブチル、フェニル、ビフェニル、テルフェニル、ナフチル、カルバゾリル、ベンゾフラニル、ベンゾチオフェニル、ジベンゾフラニル、ジベンゾチオフェニル、9,9'-ジメチルフルオレニルおよび9,9'-ジフェニルフルオレニルから選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載の化合物。
- R2基が式(I)におけるフェニレン基に結合しないか、またはH以外の丁度1個のR2基が式(I)におけるフェニレン基に結合することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3何れか1項記載の化合物。
- Ar1が、複素環式芳香族環構造である場合には、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、夫々、1以上のR3基により随意に置換されてよい以下の基:ジベンゾフラニル、ジベンゾチオフェニル、ベンゾフラニル、ベンゾチオフェニル、ベンゾ縮合ジベンゾフラニル、ベンゾ縮合ジベンゾチオフェニル、インドリル、キノリニル、ピリジル、ピリミジル、ピラジニル、ピリダジニル、トリアジニル、トリアゾール、オキサゾール、オキサジアゾール、ベンズオキサゾール、ベンゾチアゾール、フェナンスロリルおよびアザカルバゾリルから選ばれ、および/またはAr1が、芳香族環構造である場合には、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、夫々、1以上のR3基により随意に置換されてよい6〜12個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族環構造から選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4何れか1項記載の化合物。
- Ar1が出現毎に同一であるか異なり、夫々、1以上のR3基により随意に置換されてよい以下の基:フェニル、ビフェニル、テルフェニル、クアテルフェニル、ナフチル、フルオレニル、特別に、9,9'-ジメチルフルオレニルおよび9,9'-ジフェニルフルオレニル、モノベンゾフルオレニル、ジベンゾフルオレニル、インデノフルオレニル、ジベンゾフラニル、ジベンゾチオフェニル、ベンゾフラニル、ベンゾチオフェニル、ベンゾ縮合ジベンゾフラニル、ベンゾ縮合ジベンゾチオフェニル、インドリル、キノリニル、ピリジル、ピリミジル、ピラジニル、ピリダジニルおよびトリアジニルから選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の化合物。
- R3は、Hであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6何れか1項記載の化合物。
- 1個の反応性基を担持するスピロビフルオレンが、2個の反応性基を含むベンゼン誘導体と第1の金属触媒カップリング反応で最初に反応し、2個の反応性基の一方がこのカップリング反応で変換され、アミノ基が、第2の金属触媒カップリング反応により、2個の反応性基の他方で化合物に最終的に導入されることを特徴とするか、または、2個の反応性基を含むベンゼン化合物が、第1の金属触媒カップリング反応で、2個の反応性基の一方でアミノ化合物と反応し、第2の金属触媒カップリング反応により、2個の反応性基の他方でスピロビフルオレン誘導体と反応することを特徴とする、請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の化合物の製造方法。
- ポリマー、オリゴマーもしくはデンドリマーへの結合が、式(I)中のR1もしくはR2もしくはR3により置換された任意の所望の位置に局在化してよい、請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の1以上の式(I)の化合物を含むポリマー、オリゴマーまたはデンドリマー。
- 請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の少なくとも一つの化合物または請求項10記載のポリマー、オリゴマー、またはデンドリマーと少なくとも一つの溶媒とを含む調合物。
- 請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の少なくとも一つの化合物または請求項10記載のポリマー、オリゴマー、またはデンドリマーを含む電子素子。
- アノード、カソードおよび少なくとも一つの発光層を含む有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、発光層もしくは正孔輸送層、特別には、正孔輸送層、正孔注入層もしくは電子ブロック層であってよい素子の少なくとも一つの有機層が、少なくとも一つの化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項12記載の電子素子。
- アノード、カソードおよび少なくとも一つの発光層とアノードと発光層との間の丁度2,3もしくは4個の正孔輸送層を含む有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、正孔輸送層の少なくとも一つは少なくとも一つの化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項12記載の電子素子
- アノード、カソードおよび少なくとも一つの発光層と少なくとも一つの正孔輸送層を含む有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、少なくとも一つの化合物とp-ドーパントから選ばれる少なくとも一つのさらなる化合物とを含むことを特徴とする請求項12記載の電子素子
- 請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の化合物の電子素子での使用。
