Description

(a)ジルコニウム塩を水性酸に溶解する工程;
(b)得られた溶液に1つ以上の錯化剤を添加する工程であって、前記1つ以上の錯化剤は、アミン基、有機サルフェート基、スルホネート基、ヒドロキシル基、エーテル基またはカルボン酸基の少なくとも1つの官能基を有する有機化合物である工程;
(c)工程(b)で形成された溶液またはゾルを加熱する工程;

(b)上記溶液を熱処理する工程;
(c)上記溶液を冷却する工程;
(d)二座配位子または多座配位子を添加する工程;
(e)セリウム含有溶液を添加する工程;および
(f)セリウム−ジルコニウム混合水酸化物を沈殿させるために、塩基を添加して得られた溶液のpHを>8に調整する工程を含む、
本明細書で規定される組成物を製造するための別の方法が提供される。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、40重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化プラセオジム、および残部(すなわち約50重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。

最終濾過ケーキの形成まで、実施例3と同じ手順を行った。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、40重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化プラセオジム、および残部(すなわち約50重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。
241.5gのZOC(20.7% ZrO2)、156.3gの硝酸セリウム(III)(25.6% CeO2)、23.3gの硝酸ランタン(21.5% La2O3)、26.7gの硝酸プラセオジム(18.8% Pr6O11)、121.0gの硫酸、および98.0gの脱イオン水を組み合わせて混合溶液Aを調製した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、40重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化プラセオジム、および残部(すなわち約50重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。このサンプルは欧州特許第1444036B1号明細書に従って製造した(すなわち、錯化剤無し)。
126.9gの硝酸を使用してZBCを溶解した以外は、実施例6と同じ方法で製造した。沈殿物をオートクレーブ中、127℃で1時間加熱した。次いで、得られた懸濁液を濾過し、得られた濾過ケーキを空気中、930℃で3時間焼成し、粉砕した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、40重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化プラセオジム、および残部(すなわち約50重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。塩基性硫酸ジルコニウム前駆体を参考文献「S.M. Flask, I.A. Sheka, “Interaction of zirconium oxychloride and sulfuric acid in aqueous solution”, Russ. J. Inorg .Chem. 1969, 17 (1), 60-65」に従って製造した。50gのZrO2当量を含む該前駆体の試料を、161.9gの硝酸セリウム(III)(24.7% CeO2)溶液、22.8gの硝酸ランタン(21.9% La2O3)溶液、および25.6gの硝酸プラセオジム(19.5% Pr6O11)溶液と混合した。この例では、錯化剤を溶液に添加しなかった。次いで、27%水酸化ナトリウム溶液で溶液のpHを13.0に調整した。次いで45.2gの35重量%過酸化水素溶液を添加した。サンプルを空気中600℃で2時間焼成した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、45重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化イットリウム、および残部(すなわち約45重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。
116.8gの硝酸を使用してZBCを溶解し、1.07gのマンデル酸を添加した以外は、実施例10と同じ方法で製造した。最終濾過ケーキは熱水処理しなかった。これを空気中、900℃で3時間焼成し、粉砕した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、35.5重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、5.5重量%酸化ランタン、および残部(すなわち約59重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、25重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、3.5重量%酸化ランタン、4重量%酸化イットリウム、および残部(すなわち約67.5重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。
上記規定の組成物(すなわち、20重量%酸化セリウム(IV)、1.5重量%酸化ランタン、5重量%酸化ネオジム、および残部(すなわち約73.5重量%)二酸化ジルコニウム)に従ってサンプルを製造した。
上記の通り製造したサンプルを、そのまま(すなわち、「フレッシュ」な状態で)表面積(Surface Area;SA)、全細孔容積(Total Pore Volume;TPV、N2物理吸着により測定)、結晶子サイズ(Crystallite Size;CS、XRDスキャンにおける関連ピークにScherrerの式を適用して測定)、および平均細孔径(Average Pore Diametert;APD、N2物理吸着により測定)について分析した。データを下記の表1に示す。
Claims (24)
- (a)Ce:Zr(モル比)が1以下であり、
(b)酸化セリウム含有量が10〜50重量%であり、
(i)空気雰囲気中、1100℃で6時間エージングした後、表面積が少なくとも18m2/gであり、N2物理吸着によって測定される全細孔容積が少なくとも0.11cm3/gであり;(ii)空気雰囲気中、1000℃で4時間エージングした後、表面積が少なくとも42m2/gであり、N2物理吸着によって測定される全細孔容積が少なくとも0.31cm3/gである、セリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。 - 空気雰囲気中、1050℃で2時間エージングした後、表面積が少なくとも33m2/gであり、N2物理吸着によって測定される全細孔容積が少なくとも0.20cm3/gである、請求項1に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。
- 空気雰囲気中、950℃で2時間エージングした後、表面積が少なくとも48m2/gであり、N2物理吸着によって測定される全細孔容積が少なくとも0.29cm3/gである、請求項1または2に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。
- 10体積%の水を含む空気雰囲気中、1100℃で12時間熱水エージングした後、表面積が少なくとも18m2/gであり、N2物理吸着によって測定される全細孔容積が少なくとも0.11cm3/gである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。
- 酸化セリウム以外の1つ以上の希土類酸化物を個別に1〜15重量%、合計で1〜20重量%の量で含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。
- 酸化セリウムおよび酸化ジルコニウムの総量は少なくとも80重量%である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物を含む、触媒システム。
- 排気ガスを請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合酸化物と接触させる工程を含む、車両エンジンからの排気ガスの処理方法。
- (a)ジルコニウム塩を水性酸に溶解する工程;
(b)得られた溶液に1つ以上の錯化剤を添加する工程であって、前記1つ以上の錯化剤は、アミン基、有機サルフェート基、スルホネート基、ヒドロキシル基、エーテル基またはカルボン酸基の少なくとも1つの官能基を有する有機化合物である工程;
(c)工程(b)で形成された溶液またはゾルを加熱する工程;
(d)セリウム塩を添加し、かつ、前記セリウム塩の添加前または添加後のいずれかに硫化剤を添加する工程;および
(e)塩基を添加してセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合水酸化物を形成する工程を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のセリウム−ジルコニウム系混合水酸化物または混合酸化物の製造方法。 - 前記ジルコニウム塩は、塩基性炭酸ジルコニウムまたは水酸化ジルコニウムである、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記水性酸は塩酸、硫酸、硝酸または酢酸である、請求項9または10に記載の方法。
- 前記水性酸は硝酸である、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 工程(a)において、溶液またはゾル中におけるジルコニウムイオン:硝酸イオン(モル比)は1:0.8〜1:1.5である、請求項12に記載の方法。
