Abstract
Description

本出願は、2013年8月27日に出願された「Single/Multiple Capacitive Sensors ”Push to Start” With LED/Haptic Notification and Measurement Window」と題する米国仮出願番号第61/870,384号、および2014年6月26日に出願された「Systems and Methods for Controlling Vehicle Ignition Using Biometric Data」と題する米国出願番号第14/315,631号に基づく優先権を主張しており、これら出願の全体の内容は、本明細書によって参考として援用される。
本開示は、車両イグニッションを制御するために、容量センサと、車両ドライバの生体認証データとを使用する、プッシュスタートイグニッションスイッチに関する。
プッシュボタンまたはプッシュスタートイグニッションスイッチは、一般的に、キーレスエントリのために、車両において使用される。そのようなボタンは、典型的には、車両内のキーフォブ(key fob)を検出し、そして車両ドライバによって押されると、機械的イグニッションをアクティブ化することによって機能する。そのようなシステムは、キーフォブの近接性および可用性に基づいて機能する。任意の個人が、キーフォブを所有し得るため、これらのシステムは、非権限または非好適個人が、車両イグニッションを始動させないように防止しない。故に、これらのシステムは、危険なドライバに対して、任意のセキュリティまたは安全制御を提供しない。

Claims (23)
- 車両のイグニッションを制御するためのシステムであって、
車両ドライバの生体認証特性を測定するための測定窓であって、前記測定窓は、タッチパッド上に容量センサを備え、前記容量センサは、車両ドライバの指を検出可能である、測定窓と、
前記容量センサに結合され、
前記指の配置が正しいかどうかを示す信号を前記車両ドライバに提供し、
前記指の位置が正しい場合、前記測定窓から、前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定を受信し、
前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定が所定の閾値を満たすかどうかを判定し、
前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定に基づいて、前記車両の始動を制御する、
ように構成される、コントローラと、
を備える、システム。 - 前記タッチパッドに結合される触知アクチュエータをさらに備え、前記触知アクチュエータは、前記車両が始動すると、プッシュスタートボタンをシミュレートするように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記車両ドライバへの信号は、触知フィードバックを備える、請求項2に記載のシステム。
- 前記車両ドライバへの信号は、どのように配置が誤差であるのかを示す、請求項1に記載のシステム。

- 車両のイグニッションを制御するための方法であって、
イグニッションコントローラのタッチパッド上の容量センサにおいて、車両ドライバの指を検出するステップと、
前記指の配置が正しいかどうかを示す信号を前記車両ドライバに提供するステップと、
前記指の位置が正しい場合、前記タッチパッド上の測定窓から、前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定を受信するステップと、
前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定が所定の閾値を満たすかどうかを判定するステップと、
前記車両ドライバの生体認証特性の測定に基づいて、前記車両の始動を制御するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記タッチパッドに結合される触知アクチュエータをさらに備え、前記触知アクチュエータは、前記車両が始動すると、プッシュスタートボタンをシミュレートするように構成される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記車両ドライバへの信号は、触知フィードバックを備える、請求項13に記載の方法。
