Abstract
Description
成形金型に関する。
以下に記載される注意深く制御された試験方法で代表的な材料を試験することによって、上記の表1に列挙されるドリリング及びミリング機械加工性指数を決定した。
以下に記載される注意深く制御された試験方法で代表的な材料を試験することによって、上記の表1に列挙されるグラファイト及び銅シンカーEDM機械加工性指数を決定した。
数種類の金型構造のコンピュータ分析を実施して、従来の高硬度・低熱伝導率金型の標準的冷却システムと、高熱伝導率金型の簡素化冷却システムとの間の温度及び熱流束の差を示した。コンピュータプログラムはMagma Corporations製SigmaSoftバージョン4.8を使用した。各試験で従来の冷却システム及び理想化された冷却システムのモデリングに用いられた高硬度・低熱伝導率材料はP20鋼であった。簡素化冷却システムをモデリングするのに用いられた高熱伝導率材料はQC10アルミニウム、銅、及びMold Max(登録商標)であった。
第1の実施例の金型の試験では、矩形金型のコンピュータモデルを用いた。矩形金型は5種類の条件下でモデリングされた。はじめに「理想的な」条件がモデリングされた。理想的条件には成形表面から5mmの位置に配置された完全な共形冷却チャネルが含まれた。理想的条件は現存するいかなる実用的冷却システムと比較しても優れていると考えられ、また所与の金型キャビティに対して理論最大量の冷却を生じると考えられ得る。

Claims (19)
- 高伝導率の射出成形機用の金型アセンブリであって、
複数の金型キャビティのそれぞれの少なくとも部分を画定する第1金型部分と、
前記第1金型部分に結合される第1支持板と
を備え、
前記第1支持板は、前記第1支持板から離れ及び前記第1金型部分に向かって外部に延在する支持板突起部を含み、
1つまたはより多くの第1冷却管が、射出成形プロセス中に前記第1支持板から熱を除去するように構成され、
前記第1金型部分のための前記1つまたはより多くの第1冷却管の全てが前記第1支持板内に含まれ、及び、
前記1つまたはより多くの第1冷却管の少なくとも1つが前記支持板突起部内に配置されている、金型アセンブリ。 - 請求項1の金型アセンブリにおいて、
