Description
ゲル含量(重量%) = B/A × 100
窒素ガスが還流され、温度調節が容易に冷却装置を設置した1L反応器に、n−ブチルアクリレート(n−BA)79重量部、メトキシエチレングリコールアクリレート(MEA)20重量部及びヒドロキシエチルクリレート(HEA)1.0重量部を投入した。その後、溶剤としてエチルアセテート(FAc)120重量部を投入して、酸素を除去するために窒素ガスを60分間パージ(purging)した。その後、反応器の温度を60℃に維持した状態で、反応開始剤であるアゾビスイソブチロニトリル(AIBN)0.03重量部を投入して、8時間の間反応させた。反応後、エチルアセテート(EAcで希釈して、固形分濃度が15重量%であり、重量平均分子量が180万であり、分子量分布が4.5であるアクリル重合体(A)を製造した。
下記表1に示したように、単量体の組成を変更したことの以外は、製造例1と同一な方法でアクリル重合体を製造した(下記表1において、アクリル重合体(A)は製造例1で製造された重合体と同一である)。
[粘着剤層の製造]
アクリル重合体(A)100重量部、多官能性架橋剤(TDI系イソシアネート、Coronate L、ニッポンポリウレタン社製)3重量部、多官能性アクリレート(3官能性ウレタンアクリレート、Aronix M−315、DONGWOO通商製)100重量部、光開始剤であるヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン(Irg 184、スイスチバスペシャルティケミカル社製)2重量部、トリアジン系紫外線吸収剤(Tinuvin 400、スイスチバスペシャルティケミカル社製)0.2重量部を固形分濃度が30重量%になるように溶剤に配合して粘着剤組成物を製造した。その後、製造された粘着剤組成物を離形処理されたPET(poly(ethyleneterephthalate))フィルム(厚さ:38μm、MRF−38、三菱社製)の離形処理面に乾燥後厚さが25μmになるようにコーティングして、110℃のオーブンにて3分間乾燥させた。その後、前記乾燥されたコーティング層上に離形処理されたPETフィルム(厚さ:38μm、MRF−38、三菱社製)の離形処理面を追加でラミネートして、図2に示した構造の積層体を製造し、高圧水銀ランプを使用して紫外線を照射(照度:250mw/cm2、光量:300mJ/cm2)して2枚の離形PETフィルム20の間で粘着剤層10を形成した。以下、説明の便宜のために、粘着剤層10で紫外線が照射された側の面を第1の表面10Aと言い、その反対面を第2の表面10Bと言う。
ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂フィルムを延伸して、ヨードで染色した後、ホウ酸(boric acid)水溶液で処理して偏光子を製造した。その後、偏光子の一面に60μm厚さのTAC(Triacetyl cellulose)フィルムを偏光子に保護フィルムを付着する用途で、通常的に使用される水系ポリビニルアルコール系接着剤で付着した。その後、前記ポリビニルアルコール系偏光子において、TACフィルムが付着されなかった面に前記と同一な水系ポリビニルアルコール系接着剤を使用して前記製造された粘着剤層の第1の表面をラミネートして偏光板を製造した。
[粘着剤組成物の製造]
組成を下記表2及び3に示したように変更したことの以外は、実施例1と同一な方式で粘着剤組成物を製造した。
1. 引張弾性率の評価
本明細書で粘着剤層の引張弾性率は、ASTM D638で規定された方式によって引張による応力−変形試験法を通じて測定するか、あるいは直接引張弾性率を測定しにくい場合には、保存弾性率を測定して、下記換算式により換算して求める。具体的には、実施例または比較例で製造されるものとして、図2に示した構造の積層体(離形PETフィルム、粘着剤層及び離形PETフィルムの積層構造)を長さが7cmであり、幅が1cmになる大きさのdog bone typeの試片で裁断して、試片の両末端を引張実験用Jigで固定した後、引張弾性率を測定する。引張弾性率の測定条件は、下記のようである。
測定器機:UTM(Universal Testing Machine)
装備Model:Zwick Roell Z010、Instron社(製)
測定条件:
Load cell:500N
引張速度:3mm/sec
粘着剤層を15cm×25cm×25μm(横×縦×厚さ)の大きさで裁断して、裁断された粘着剤層を5層で積層させる。その後、積層された粘着剤層を直径が8mmである円形で裁断した後、ガラス(glass)を利用して圧縮した状態で、一晩放置して各層間の界面でのwettingを向上させることで、積層時に生じた気泡を除去して試料を製造する。その後、試料を平行板(parallel plate)上において、ギャップ(gap)を調整した後、Normal & Torqueの零点を取って、Normal forceの安定化を確認した後、下記条件の保存弾性率を測定して、下記換算式により引張弾性率を求める。
測定器機:ARES−RDA、TA Instruments Inc.

前記換算式において、Eは、引張弾性率を示し、Gは、保存弾性率を示す。
実施例または比較例で製造された粘着剤層を使用して、実施例1と同一な方式で偏光板を製造するが、剥離力を測定しようとする粘着剤層の表面に沿って粘着剤層の方向を変更して偏光板を製造する。すなわち、実施例1で提示された偏光板の製造過程のうち、第1の表面の剥離力を測定しようとする場合、第2の表面を偏光子側に付着し、第2の表面の剥離力を測定しようとする場合、第1の表面を偏光子側に付着して偏光板を製造する。その後、偏光板を25mm×100mm(幅×長さ)の大きさで裁断して試片を製造する。その後、粘着剤層上にある付着された離形PETフィルムを剥離して、粘着剤層の表面をJIS Z0237の規定によって2kgのローラーを使用して無アルカリガラスに付着する。その後、粘着剤層が付着された無アルカリガラスをオートクレーブ(50℃、0.5気圧)で約20分間圧搾処理して、恒温恒湿条件(23℃、50%相対湿度)で25時間の間保管する。その後、TA装備(Texture Analyzer、イギリスステイブルマイクロシステム社製)を使用して、前記偏光板を無アルカリガラスから300mm/minの剥離速度及び180度の剥離角度で剥離しながら剥離力を測定する。また、再剥離性は下記基準で評価する。
○:付着1日後測定した剥離力が800N/25mm以下の場合
△:付着1日後測定した剥離力が1,000N/25mm以上の場合
×:付着1日後測定した剥離力が2,000N/25mm以上の場合
実施例及び比較例で製造された偏光板を90mm×170mm(横×縦)の大きさで裁断して製造される試片を各々実施例及び比較例ごとに2枚ずつ準備した。その後、準備された2枚の試片をガラス基板(110mm×190mm×0.7mm=横×縦×厚さ)の両面に各偏光板の光学吸収軸がクロスされるように付着してサンプルを製造した。前記付着時の加圧力は約5Kg/cm2であり、気泡または異物が界面に発生しないようにクリーンルーム(Clean room)で作業を行った。その後、耐湿熱耐久性は、サンプルを60℃の温度及び90%の相手湿度の条件下で1,000時間の間放置した後、粘着界面での気泡または剥離の発生有無を観察して評価し、耐熱耐久性は、80℃の温度条件下で1,000時間の間サンプルを放置した後、粘着界面での気泡または剥離の発生有無を観察して評価した。耐湿熱または耐熱耐久性の測定直前に製造されたサンプルを常温で24時間の間放置して評価を進行した。評価条件は、下記のようである。
○:気泡及び剥離発生なし
△:気泡及び/または剥離多少発生
×:気泡及び/または剥離多量発生
実施例及び比較例で製造された偏光板を90mm×170mm(横×縦)の大きさで裁断した試片をガラス基板(110mm×190mm×0.7mm=横×縦×厚さ)の片面に付着してサンプルを製造した。付着時の加圧力は約5Kg/cm2であり、気泡または異物が界面に発生しないようにクリーンルームで作業を行った。次に、製造されたサンプルを60℃の温度の水に投入して、24時間の間放置してから取り出して気泡または剥離の発生有無を観察して、下記基準で耐水性を評価した。
○:気泡及び剥離発生なし
△:気泡及び/または剥離多少発生
×:気泡及び/または剥離多量発生
実施例または比較例の粘着剤組成物を使用して、図2に示したような構造のサンプル(粘着剤層厚さ:23μm)を製造して、サンプル内の粘着剤層のヘーズをヘーズメーター(HR−100、日本Murakami社(製))を使用してJIS K7105−1規格によって測定した。
実施例及び比較例で製造した偏光板を22インチLCDモニター(LG Philips LCD社製)の両面に光学吸収軸がお互いにクロスされた状態で付着して、恒温恒湿条件(23℃、50%相対湿度)で24時間の間保管した後、80℃の温度で200時間の間放置した。その後、暗室でバックライトを利用して前記モニターに光を照射しながら光透過性の均一性を下記の基準で評価した。
◎:モニターの4周辺部で光透過性の不均一現象が肉眼では判断されない場合
○:モニターの4周辺部で光透過性の不均一現象が肉眼で若干観察される場合
△:モニターの4周辺部で光透過性の不均一現象が肉眼に多少観察される場合
×:モニターの4周辺部で光透過性の不均一現象が肉眼で多量観察される場合
アクリル重合体の重量平均分子量及び分子量分布は、GPCを使用して、以下の条件で測定した。検量線の製作には、Agilent systemの標準ポリスチレンを使用して、測定結果を換算した。
測定機:Agilent GPC(Agilent 1200series、アメリカ)
コラム:PL Mixed B 2個連結
コラム温度:40℃
溶離液:テトラヒドロフラン
流速:1.0mL/min
濃度:〜2mg/mL(100μL injection)

Claims (17)
- アルキレンオキシド基を有するアクリル重合体及び紫外線吸収剤を含み、また、硬化された状態で前記アクリル重合体を架橋された状態で有する相互浸透高分子ネットワーク構造を含み、シート状で硬化された時に前記シート状の両面で相違する剥離力を示す、粘着剤組成物。
- 前記アクリル重合体は、重量平均分子量が40万から200万である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記化学式1の単量体は、アルコキシアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、アルコキシジアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、アルコキシトリアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、アルコキシテトラアルキレングリール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、アルコキシポリエチレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、フェノキシアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、フェノキシジアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、フェノキシトリアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、フェノキシテトラアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステルまたはフェノキシポリアルキレングリコール(メタ)アクリル酸エステルである、請求項3に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記アクリル重合体は、多官能性架橋剤により架橋された状態で相互浸透高分子ネットワーク構造に含まれる、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記相互浸透高分子ネットワーク構造は、重合された多官能性アクリレートを有する架橋構造をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記多官能性アクリレートは、アクリル重合体100重量部に対して20重量部から200重量部で含まれる、請求項6に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記紫外線吸収剤は、ベンゾトリアゾール化合物、ベンゾフェノン化合物、オキサルアニリド化合物、安息香酸エステル化合物またはトリアジン化合物である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- アセトアセテート基またはβ−ジアノアセチル基を有するシランカップリング剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- アルキレンオキシド基を有するアクリル重合体及び紫外線吸収剤を含み、また、前記アクリル重合体は、架橋された状態で相互浸透高分子ネットワーク構造に含まれており、第1の表面と前記第1の表面の反対側に存在する第2の表面を有するシート状であり、前記第1の表面と前記第2の表面での剥離力が相違する、粘着剤。
- 前記第1の表面のガラスに対する剥離力が5gf/25mmから100gf/25mmである、請求項10に記載の粘着剤。
- 第2の表面のガラスに対する剥離力が100gf/25mmから1,000gf/25mmである、請求項10に記載の粘着剤。
- 第1の表面から第2の表面方向にシート状の厚さ方向に沿って引張弾性率の勾配が形成されている、請求項10に記載の粘着剤。
- 25℃での平均引張弾性率の0.1MPaから500MPaである、請求項13に記載の粘着剤。
- アルキレンオキシド基を有するアクリル重合体及び紫外線吸収剤を含み、硬化された状態で前記アクリル重合体を架橋された状態で有する相互浸透高分子ネットワーク構造を含む粘着剤組成物をシート状でコーティングしてコーティング層を形成し、当該コーティング層の一面側で紫外線を照射して前記コーティング層を硬化させて粘着剤層を製造する段階を含み、前記照射された紫外線がコーティング層の厚さ方向に沿って進行しながら前記コーティング層に吸収されるようにして、前記硬化された粘着剤層の厚さ方向に沿って引張弾性率の勾配を形成する段階を含む、粘着剤層の製造方法。
- 偏光子、及び前記偏光子の一面または両面に形成された請求項10に記載の粘着剤の層を含む、偏光板。
- 液晶パネル及び前記液晶パネルの一面または両面に付着された請求項16に記載の偏光板を含む、液晶表示装置。
