Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.導電性、疎水性、およびガス透過性を有する少なくとも1層のガス拡散層 を含むガス拡散電極であって、該ガス拡散層が、10mS/cm以上のバルク伝 導率を有する少なくとも1種の導電性物質で含浸された機械的に安定な担体物質 を含むガス拡散電極。 2.該ガス拡散電極が少なくとも1層のガス拡散層を含み、その層中において 機械的に安定な該担体物質が不織布、織布、または紙である請求項1記載のガス 拡散電極。 3.該機械的に安定な担体物質が、炭素繊維、ガラス繊維、または有機ポリマ ーを含む繊維を含む請求項2記載のガス拡散電極。 4.該機械的に安定な担体物質が単位面積当たり150g/m2未満の重量を 有する請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極。 5.該担体物質が20〜99.9%の範囲の開放気孔率を有する請求項1〜4 のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極。 6.該導電性物質が炭素および/または金属を含む請求項1〜5のいずれかに 記載のガス拡散電極。 7.1〜4層のガス拡散層を含む請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電 極。 8.触媒活性層を含む請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極。 9.該触媒活性層が a)少なくとも1種の触媒活性物質および b)1種以上のイオン導電性ポリマーおよび、必要ならば、 c)1種以上の疎水性物質 を含む請求項8記載のガス拡散電極。 10.該触媒活性物質が、遷移族VIIIの少なくとも1種の金属、または遷移族 VIIIの1種以上の金属ととくに遷移族IVの金属との合金である請求項9記載のガ ス拡散電極。 11.触媒活性物質対イオン導電性ポリマーの質量比が1:100〜100: 1の範囲にある請求項9または10のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極。 12.該担体物質からの距離が大きくなるにつれて、該触媒層に対して垂直方 向の該触媒活性物質濃度が減少し、かつ該イオン導電性ポリマー濃度が増大する 請求項9〜11のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極。 13.導電性メッシュによって機械的に補強される請求項1〜13のいずれか に記載のガス拡散電極。 14.該導電性メッシュが金属メッシュであるかまたは金属被覆ポリマーを含 む請求項13記載のガス拡散電極。 15.100mΩ/cm2以下の表面電気抵抗を有する請求項1〜14のいず れかに記載のガス拡散電極。 16.導電性、疎水性、およびガス透過性を有する少なくとも1層のガス拡散 層を含むガス拡散電極の製造方法であって、該方法が下記の a)導電性物質および少なくとも1種の液体を含む懸濁液を調製し、 b)結合剤物質および少なくとも1種の液体から1種以上の懸濁液または 溶液を調製し、 c)工程a)で調製した該懸濁液と工程b)で調製した少なくとも1種の 懸濁液とを激しく混合し、 d)機械的に安定な担体物質に工程c)で調製した該混合物を含浸させ、 e)該含浸担体物質を乾燥し、 f)該含浸担体物質を少なくとも200℃の温度で焼結する 工程を含む方法。 17.該導電性物質が10mS/cm以上の電気的バルク伝導率を有する請求 項16記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 18.該ガス拡散電極が少なくとも1層のガス拡散層を含み、その層中におけ る機械的に安定な該担体物質が不織布、織布または紙である請求項16または1 7記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 19.機械的に安定な該担体物質が単位面積当たり150g/m2未満の重量 を有する請求項16〜18のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 20.該工程d)およびe)を一回以上繰り返す請求項16〜19のいずれか に記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 21.1層以上の焼結ガス拡散層を、最高500バールの圧力および最高40 0℃の温度において相互に圧し付ける請求項16〜20のいずれかに記載のガス 拡散電極の製造法。 22.工程a)で調製した該懸濁液が該表面張力を低下させる物質を含む請求 項16〜21のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 23.該結合剤物質と該導電性物質とを1:100〜100:1の質量比で使 用する請求項16〜222のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極の製造法。 24.ガス拡散電極の1つの表面に触媒活性層を被覆する方法であって、その 被覆方法が次の a)少なくとも1種の触媒活性物質と、溶解または懸濁させた1種以上の イオン導電性ポリマーとを激しく混合し、 b)工程a)で調製した該懸濁液を該ガス拡散電極の1つの表面に適用し 、 c)適用した該層を乾燥する 工程を含む方法。 25.請求項1〜15のいずれかに記載のガス拡散電極を使用する請求項24 記載の方法。 26.工程a)で調製した該懸濁液の適用前に該懸濁液の一部を蒸発させる請 求項24または25記載の方法。 27.該工程b)およびc)を一回以上繰り返す請求項24〜26のいずれか に項記載の方法。
