Abstract

Hot-wat.er storage apparatus; feedwater, controlling.-In a boiler plant having a hot-water storage tank b the upper part of which is in communication with the boiler a at the normal water level therein, as described in Specification 192,685, the supply of feed to the boiler is so regulated that when the boiler pressure rises above the normal the feed supply is increased and when the boiler pressure falls below the normal the feed supply is interrupted or reduced. The feed valve k is operated by a piston device g which is forced downwards by the pressure in the steam pipe e against the upward pressure of a spring h. When the steam pressure rises above the normal, the feed valve is further opened, and when the steam pressure falls below the normal, the feed valve is partly or entirely closed.
