502,580. Feedwater regulators for steam boilers. PRIMROSE, J. S. A., and RAMSAY, A. Nov. 13, 1937, No. 31220. [Class 123 (ii)] The feedwater supply to an electrode boiler 1 connected by a steam pipe 3 to a steam accumulator 2 is so controlled by pressureoperated devices 7, 8 in the accumulator that the water supply is increased when the steam pressure rises and is decreased when the steam pressure falls. One device may set the feed pump 5 in operation when the steam pressure falls below a certain minimum and the other device may stop the pump when the steam pressure reaches a certain maximum. The pressure operated devices may actuate a valve controlling the return of water from the pump delivery to the feed tank.
