550,998. Feedwater supply systems for steam boilers. ARROWSMITH, G., and HICK, HARGREAVES & CO., Ltd. Aug. 1, 1941, No. 9843. [Class 123 (ii)] In boiler feedwater deaeration apparatus of the kind in which water is sprayed into a vessel 1 from a supply tank 7, the pipe 6 supplying water to the spray nozzles is connected to the delivery pipe 8 of the water extraction pump 5 and to the pipe 9 supplying the water to the feed pump, so that when the feed pump demand decreases, excess water delivered by the extraction pump is recirculated through the deaerator vessel and in a path external to the supply tank. Specification 297,964, [Class 1 (i)], is referred to.
