Feedwater, supplying. - A hot-water tank 1 above the boiler water space and feeding it through piping 4 is supplied by an injector operating with live steam from the tank and with exhaust steam through piping 8 or with exhaust steam alone. If the tank has to be fed during or immediately after the discharge of water into the boiler a check valve 7 in piping 6 is opened to allow live steam to pass to a nozzle 11 of the injector which co-operates with an exhaust steam nozzle 12 to feed water to the tank through piping 9. When the steam pressure in the tank falls, the water supply is maintained by exhaust steam alone. If the tank is mounted below the boiler water level a pump or other feeding means is provided. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of a pump or other feeding means if the tank is mounted below the boiler water level. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
