Feed-water, supplying and controlling.- An injector in a feed-water supply apparatus is set in relation to the boiler, so that steam enters the injector when the waterlevel is low, but water enters to stop injector action when water-level is high. The jet nozzle is adjustable. An injector 1<x> has a delivery pipe which passes into the boiler at 2 below its normal water-level 3, a steamsupply pipe 7 which dips down into the top of the boiler and terminates at the normal water-level, and a water supply which passes to a nozzle 4. The nozzle 5 is adjustable on its axis to control the steam space 6. When the water-level falls, steam passes up the pipe 7 to start injector action, which is stopped on the bottom of the pipe being sealed by the rise in water-level. The steam, by mingling with the feed, acts as a feedwater heater. In a modification, the water passes to the annular space 6, and steam to the nozzle 4.
