Class 123(2) Means for regulating the supply of feed water to the water tubes a of a marine type boiler comprises two pumps r, s which draw water respectively through pipes g, t connected to a reserve water tank j and a condenser u and supply it to a lower header b for the tubes a having a steam collecting header c. The pumps r, s are both controlled in accordance with the water level of a centrally heated gauge l for the reserve tank j or in accordance with a gauge y for a gyratory type separator f interposed between a water-steam mixture discharge pipe e at the upper end of the tubes a and the reserve tank j. The separator f is connected by a pipe p, preferably through a one-way valve not shown, to the water space of the reserve tank j the steam space of which communicates with a steam pipe h leading from the separator f by means of a central pipe K 2 and four equally spaced radial pipes K 1 , K 3 , K 4 . The latter open into the tank at spaced points on its periphery so that it can assume inclinations, as indicated by the chain dotted lines, without breaking the connection between the steam zones of the tank j and the separator f. The pump r is by-passed by a pipe w having a stop valve x in order to ensure natural circulation of the water in this circuit in the event of a breakdown of the pump r.
