Valves controlled by pilot or relay valves.-A feed-water regulator for steam generators of the kind described in Specifications 19296/11 and 181,487, in which a Roat-actuated auxiliary valve, controls the supply of steam to a fluid-actuated check valve, has the auxiliary valve formed as a shuttle valve with the member f which controls the connection between the actuating- chamber and lower pressure of greater area than that which controls the admission of steam to the actuating-chamber. The greater area is obtained by continuing the coned surface of the valve member into a skirting flange i.
