Abstract
394,297. Regulating boiler pressure ; feedwater and fuel regulators. SULZER F R ’ R E S SOC. ANON., Winterthur, Switzerland. Sept. 14, 1931, No. 25685. Convention date, Oct. 20, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 123 (ii).] The steam outlet valve 9 of an instantaneous generator is so operated in accordance with the pressure in the generator as to prevent a rapid increase in the flow through the generator upon an increase in the steam demand. The valve lever 12 is operated by a piston in a cylinder 10 connected to the generator by a pipe 14. The lever may operate a relay 26 controlling the feed supply valve 21 and the fuel and air supply valves 19, 20. When the pressure in the generator falls, the valve 9 is closed to throttle the steam outlet, and the supplies of water, fuel and air are increased.
