Feed-water, regulating.-A feed-water supply regulator comprises a balanced float D in a chamber A in free communication with the boiler, a steam chamber E opening into the top of the chamber A, and a valve G in the steam chamber operated by the float and controlling the steam inlet and outlet ports of a cylinder F which contains a piston L connected through rods and levers to the feed-valve P. A spring M around the stem of the feed-valve acts to maintain the valve in its open position, the valve being closed by the pressure of the steam admitted to the cylinder L when the water-level in the boiler rises.
