Abstract

215,018. VerdiÚ, J. April 28, 1923, [Convention date]. Fluid-actuated valves.- A valve controlling the feed-supply is operated by a diaphragm acted upon by pressure of the steam which is generated from water in a cup-shaped chamber 2 by the heat of the steam and water in a surrounding chamber 1 placed at the boiler water level and in free communication with the boiler. A rise or fall of the water level in the chamber 1 causes a decrease or increase of the steam pressure in the chamber 2, and the consequent movement of the diaphragm acting on the feed-valve p through a lever l causes the feed-valve to close or open. The lever is adjustably connected to the spindle of the feed.-valve. The chamber 2 is formed with internal radial ribs.
