[Class 135] A safety valve installation for steam generators with superheaters comprises a set of piston-operated safety valves 1, 1<a> for saturated steam, a set of safety valves 2, 2<a>, for superheated steam, and pilot valves 104, 104<a> controlling the supply of steam to the superheated steam valves through pipes 105 105<a> and so set that they open before pilot valves 108, 108<a> for the saturated steam valves, connections 107, 107<a> from the saturated-steam pilot valves to the inlets 106, 106<a> to the pistons of the superheated steam valves and double non-return valves 109 being provided so that in the event of the saturated steam valves opening first, due for example to the springs weakening, the superheated steam valves will also open.
