Abstract

618,422. Valve closure members. BEARDMORE & CO., Ltd., W., and SPEDDING, J. W. Nov. 6, 1945, No. 29611. [Class 135] A double-beat drop valve, e.g. for steam hydraulic press intensifiers, comprises telescopic sections 12, 13, each having an annular facing co-operating with a seating on a detachable liner 15. The sections are loosely interconnected by a spindle 18 and are urged apart by a spring 17. Weights attached to the actuating spindle 19 ensure that both valve' sections seat firmly.
