XXVI] A packing device comprises a corrugated or dished rigid disc 1 which acts as a piston and upper and lower rubber flanges A and B adhesively applied to the disc and forming valve settings for a self-sealing valve or the like. The flanges may have incurved lips 9, as shown in Fig. 4, and spring steel expander rings 11.
