485,184. Feedwater regulators for steam boilers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Aug. 21, 1936, No. 23018. Void. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1935. [Class 123 (ii)] The water supply to a forced flow boiler having a separator drum 1 into which the boiler steam and water mixture is so directed as to cause the mixture to rotate is controlled by a valve 13 actuated by a diaphragm 11 acted upon by either the centrifugal force of the rotating water or by the static pressure of a head of water corresponding under normal conditions to the head which the normal quantity of water in the separator would assume when at rest.
