- the door 46 is formed from an inner door 47 and a door frame 48 surrounding it.
- the door frame 48 is connected to a door carrier 50 via guides 49, which can be designed like the guides 32 in the washer-extractor 10.

- An inner sealing profile 56 is arranged in the vicinity of the outer edge of the annular section 52 of the inner door 47, while an outer sealing profile 57 is arranged in the vicinity of the inner edge of the door frame 48.
- the seal 55 is thus divided by the arrangement on the door frame 48 on the one hand and on the circular ring section 52 on the other.
- a special feature of the door 46 is that the inner door 47 can be pivoted to open (FIG. 9) relative to the door frame 48 surrounding it, specifically by one horizontal axis of rotation 58 which runs parallel to the pivot axes 22 and 27.

Since the inner door 47 of the washer-extractor 41 can be swiveled up and the connections for the media supply would have to be assigned to this inner door 47, the media supply in the washer-extractor 41 advantageously takes place through at least one of the two stub axles 26. With regard to the specific configuration of the media supply, which is also not shown in FIGS. 6 and 9, reference is made to the above description of the washer-extractor 10.
- the washer-extractor 10 is loaded either with the inner drum 12 fully pivoted up, the axis of rotation 11 being perpendicular (FIG. 1) or with an inclined inner drum 12. In both cases, the openings 13 and 15 in the inner drum 12 and in the drum housing 14 are directed upward, so that the washer-extractor 10 can be loaded with items of laundry or other objects from above or also obliquely from the side. - the rotational frequency with which the inner drum 12 of the washer-extractor 10 is driven during loading is preferably so great that the items of laundry or objects on the inside of the jacket of the inner drum 12 are subjected to a centrifugal acceleration that does not exceed 25 times the acceleration due to gravity, preferably is in the range of 5 to 20 times the acceleration due to gravity.
- the rotational frequency of the inner drum 12 during loading is preferably increased with increasing loading of the inner drum 12.
- the control of the rotational speed of the inner drum 12 during the loading is then expediently program-controlled, in particular depending on the type of laundry or objects to be loaded. The more bulky the items of laundry or items, the higher the rotational frequency with which the inner drum 12 is driven when the washer-extractor 10 is loaded.
- the inner drum 12 can further be driven during the entire loading process of the washer-extractor 10, but also only during a partial area of the loading process, in particular during an end phase of the loading.
- the speed at which the inner drum 12 is driven during loading can also change during the loading, in particular increase towards the end of the loading.
- the inner drum 12 of the washer-extractor 10 can also be driven in rotation during the unloading of the washer-extractor 10.
