Definitions
- the invention relates to a pair of skis for alpine skiing, with asymmetrically tailored skis, with each ski on the outside has a more curved side shape cutout than on the inside.
- the well-known ski training has in common that they are for a conventional skiing technique are designed in which especially "on the inner edge" of the outer skis (or valley skis) is driven, with the respective shape or geometry of the Side shape cutout on this inside the suitability for shorter or longer turns, for easier turn initiation etc., is obtained.
- a new skiing technique is the so-called "carving” technique, at that the skier tries when cornering, both skis load as evenly as possible; this new technology has its Exit taken from snowboarding, and similar to that of Snowboarding is made using the carving technique a swing under the same load on both skis, i.e. a Cornering, initiated simply by the legs in Area of the knee joints "folded", then the arch both on the inner edge of the outer ski and on the outer edge of the inner ski to be driven.
- Skis consistently cause problems because of the waists of the Given the inner edge of the outer ski or the outer edge of the inner ski Arches are not "parallel" to each other, but to each other to cut. This leads when cornering using the carving technique to the fact that the indoor ski is not or only with difficulty can be run parallel to the outdoor ski; it comes to crossing the skis, or the inner ski becomes the outer ski pulled away, causing falls.
- the pair of skis according to the invention is of the type mentioned at the beginning characterized in that the waist on the outside each ski compared to that on the inside by a measure in the cm range is set back, when cornering, when the two skis at a distance from each other in the dm range the outer ski set back in the direction of travel compared to the inner ski, the waists of the outside of the Inner skis and the inside of the outer skis at least approximately Describe concentric arcs.
- the pair of skis according to the invention is characterized in that the respective skis not only on the outside compared to the Have a more pronounced curvature on the inside, but also the waistline on the outside of each Skis compared to the one on the inside (which takes into account the fact that a Cornering of the inner ski before the outer ski is led) maintain at least approximately concentric course of the arches, the waists on the outside of the inner ski or on define the inside of the outer ski.
- the difference of Radii of curvature can be, for example, only 2 m, or less than Amount to 10%. So can the radii of curvature with a pair of skis with a ski length of approx. 200 cm on the inside of the skis each with about 28 m and on the outside with about each 26 m; for shorter skis, for example with a length of 170 cm, the corresponding radii of curvature 26 m or 24 m.
- Figure 1 is a top view of a pair of skis schematically Shown cornering, the outer ski in the curve, the Outside ski 1, opposite the inner ski in the curve, the inner ski 2, set back in the direction of travel 3.
- the two skis 1, 2 are fitted, with the outer ski in the left ski in Fig. 1 1, a conventional symmetrical waist is shown, i.e. the side shape cutout 14 on the outside (i.e. from other side of the ski 2) and the side shape cutout 15 have the same curvature on the inside of the ski 1.
- the Inner ski 2 has an outer side shape cutout 24 ' same curvature as the side shape cutout 25 on the inside illustrated with a dash-dotted line.
- the two skis 1, 2 are comparable Cornering (see sheets 16 and 26) approximately to scale drawn, the longitudinal offset of the respective outside Waist of skis 1, 2 compared to the inside The waist is in the area adjacent to the respective ski shovel 7, but especially in the area of the ski ends 8. More clear however, these geometric relationships result from the plan view drawn on a larger scale according to FIG. 3. at the ski drawn there, e.g. the ski 2, the concave begins curved side shape cutout 25 on the inside of the ski 2 at a point 9, which lies further forward, in the longitudinal direction of the ski seen as the point 10 of the beginning of the concavely curved Side shape cutout 24 on the outside of the ski 2. This Displacement in the longitudinal direction of the ski is in Figure 3 with dimension X specified.
- the outside waist i.e. the Curve of the outside side shape cutout 24, in comparison to a dotted symmetrical formation, thus in comparison to a waist like that at the (left) inside of the ski 2 would correspond to a dimension Y offset to the outside, in the front section of the ski, adjacent the ski shovel 7.
- This outward displacement of the outside The waist is towards zero at the end of the ski, but is on Ski end 8 still a longitudinal offset of the outside waist (outside side shape cutout 24) to the rear by Dimension x compared to the waist on the inside of the ski 2, determine.
- the dimension x is preferably smaller than that Dimension X, as can be seen from the illustration in Figure 3. It is otherwise it is also possible that the waist (side shape cutout 24) on the outside of each ski 1, 2 to the extreme Ski end is enough.
- a straight section 11 is provided, which is preferred runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the ski 2, possibly also diverging forward relative to the longitudinal axis of the ski to so in this area a plowing backwards Avoid geometry with the appropriate braking effect.
- skis as shown and with conventional ski lengths about 170 cm to 205 cm, the longitudinal offset of the waists at the front (dimension X) or at the back (dimension x) consistently the same and for example 4 cm or 3 cm can, with the outward displacement of the outside Waist in the front ski area (dimension Y) with the ski length changes;
- the dimension Y is for ski lengths in the range of 200 cm 2.5 mm, possibly 2.2 mm to 2.3 mm (2.5 mm is preferred) Viewed as maximum, although dislocations up to 4 mm are also possible); for shorter ski lengths, about 170 cm, The dimension Y is preferably approximately 1.5 mm, under certain circumstances even about 1 mm.
- Y would be Longitudinal offset X correspondingly larger (e.g. twice or 3 times as much) large).
- the radii of curvature R and r depend on Different ski lengths and can be used for ski lengths of approx. 200/205 cm for example 28 m or 26 m, with ski lengths of 170 cm for example, be 26 m / 24 m.
- the largest ski width in the area of the shovel 7 can be like Studies have shown in the ski geometry described approx. 10 cm, with a ski length of approx. 200 cm, whereas the greatest width at the end of the ski 8 is approx. 8 cm with this ski length is.
- the width at the narrowest, approximately in the middle Location of the ski with a ski length of 200 cm is approximately 6 cm.
- ski lengths of 170 cm the corresponding values can roughly as follows: maximum width on the ski shovel 7: 8.8 cm; greatest width at the end of the ski: 7.6 cm; least Width (ski center): 6 cm.
- the skis 1, 2 can be made according to conventional construction methods be made, for example, according to the sandwich construction or after Shell construction.
