  • a pointer rod 580 which consists of sleeves that can be telescopically extended.
  • a release button 592 which is held in its rest position by means of compression spring 590, engages behind the sleeves 594 and pushes them outward when actuated so that the button 596 on the innermost sleeve can be gripped and pulled out.
  • the pointer could also be arranged on a carriage which can be pushed out by means of a button, preferably against the force of a return spring, to such an extent that its button 596 can be gripped.
  • Figures 63 to 65 show the structure in the magnifying glass area in greater detail. From the legs 457 and 459, two tabs 600 are angled inward, which serve to guide the rear extension of the magnifying frame 602. This extension is asymmetrically fork-shaped with a wider leg 604, which has a recess with a part-circular cross-section on the underside - there is space for the laser pointer 360 - and with a narrower leg 606. Between the two legs there are batteries 356; the spring that biases the magnifying glass into the open position acts on the wider leg, but is not shown for the sake of clarity, the locking button 334 is arranged above the magnifying glass, by means of which the magnifying glass is held in the lower shell. Under the magnifying glass there is a transparent insert 608 which enables the laser or lamp light to pass through.
  • Figures 66 through 69 show details of the chamber 348 for the punch waste and the access door 346 for emptying the chamber. Unlike office holes, this chamber has a relatively small volume, so that the user may forget to empty the chamber in time. In order to avoid overfilling, it is provided that the user is signaled when the chamber should be emptied.

  • a chamber housing 620 to which the flap 346 is articulated, is formed on the lower cap 332.
  • the flap is in turn provided with upstanding walls which, together with the chamber housing, prevent punching waste from entering the interior of the lower shell in an uncontrolled manner.
  • the flap 346 has a double snap lock. In its closed position, it engages with small cams 622 on the protruding edges 624 of the chamber housing. If the pressure load within the chamber 348 becomes too great, this first locking will give way and the flap 346 opens into the position according to FIG. 67, in which position the flap is locked again, however, namely with larger cams 626. The holding force thereof must be overcome manually. The slightly open position of the flap, in which no punching waste is released yet, signals to the user that the chamber should be emptied at the next opportunity. 68 and 69 show this emptying position of the flap 346 in cross-section and longitudinal section.
  • FIG. 70 shows another embodiment variant in which the upper shell is designed as a lever which engages between flanks of the lower shell and is flush with its contours in the closed state. Front and back slits allow you to insert papers to be stapled or punched.
