Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toe piece for a safety binding with a housing which can be fastened to a ski and which has a lower housing part and an upper housing part, and at least one adjustable release spring, wherein two substantially horizontally pivotable sole holders are arranged in the upper housing part, which are attached to a common, in essential vertical bolts are mounted, which is acted upon by the release spring and guided in the housing
  • a toe of the type mentioned at the outset has become known, for example, from AT 376 576.
  • the sole holders are mounted on a common bolt which is acted upon by the release spring via a pull rod, this pull rod being displaceably guided in a longitudinal bore in the housing.
  • a toe with diagonal release is already known from the applicant's Austrian patent application with the file number AT-PS 396 337.
  • the sole holders are pivotally mounted on a bearing block which is supported and guided on the housing. Through a central opening in this bearing block, the sole holders are subjected to the spring force of the release spring via a release plate.
  • the bearing block is guided at its lower end via a fork-shaped recess on a wedge-shaped projection in such a way that it can also pivot out laterally after a predetermined release path, which enables diagonal release of the toe piece.
  • An object of the invention is to enable a diagonal release in addition to a side and back release in a known front jaw of the type mentioned.
  • this is done by means of a front jaw of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which the bolt is arranged such that it can be guided along a longitudinally oriented and rearwardly widened guide surface which is formed in a central guide plate arranged in the upper housing part and which is assigned to the lower end portion of the bolt.
  • the solution according to the invention is advantageously realized in that the guide surface is formed on a longitudinal slot which has a rounding at its front end and a conical widening at its rear end.
  • the construction of an exemplary embodiment shows that the bolt, in the driving position of the toe piece, is supported on a first and / or second guide surface section and in the pivoted-out state of at least one sole holder either on the second or on a third guide surface section of the guide surface , wherein the first guide surface section is formed on a straight section of the longitudinal slot and the third guide surface section on the boundary walls of the conical extension.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 schematically represent a front jaw 1 according to the invention, which consists of a lower housing part 3 and an upper housing part 2 pivotably mounted thereon.
  • a release spring 4 is mounted in the upper housing part 2 between a front and a rear spring support plate 6 or 7, the front spring support plate 6 being supported on the upper housing part via the release system and the rear spring support plate 7 being mechanically connected to the end face of the upper housing part 2 via an adjusting screw 5 is.
  • the upper part of the rear spring support plate is designed as a pointer and indicates to the user, via a window 10 located on the upper side of the upper housing part, the pretensioning of the release spring 4 set with the aid of the adjusting screw 5.

  • This spring lever 8 thus allows a slight pivoting of the upper housing part 2 against the spring force of the release spring 4 upwards and therefore an automatic and continuous adjustment of the sole holder 14a, 14b to the height of the sole of a ski shoe.
  • an angle 12 of a tension piece 11 is inserted between the front spring support plate 6 and the end face of the upper housing part 2, which in the exemplary embodiment shown leads below the release spring 4 to the rear.

  • the guide surface 130 which consists of three sections 130a, 130b, 130c, is formed in a longitudinal slot 131, which has a rounded portion 132 at its front end and a conical extension 133 at its rear end.
  • FIG. 5 shows the invention on a further front jaw, in which the release spring is implemented in the form of two concentric springs 104, 204.
  • the bolt 13 is shown in such a way that it is already guided slightly backwards in the sense of triggering along the guide surface 130.
  • a spring force acts between the upper housing part 2 and the lower housing part 3 in the front jaw shown in FIG. 5, which, in conjunction with a joint and a locking piece, allows the sole holders 14a, 14b to be continuously adjusted to the height Height of the ski boot sole allows.
  • this spring force is an unspecified leaf spring which is mounted in the lower housing part and acts on a stop on the upper housing part.
  • the bearing pin 13 for the sole holders 14a, 14b is pivoted out of its vertical position, so that its lower end 131 is guided to the rear along the guide surface 130 embedded in the guide block 30, then to the first guide surface section 130a, along the second guide surface section 130b.
  • the force acting upwards on the sole holders 14a, 14b must be large enough to pivot the sole holders so far that the ski boot slides upward out of the toe piece.
  • the conical extension 133 or the third guide surface section 130c of the guide surface 130 for the bearing pin 13 enables, particularly in the case of backward falls, by pivoting the bearing pin 13 out of its central position to cause the toe piece to be released diagonally, in which case the ski shoe is released obliquely upwards.
