Faserschutzmittel
Es ist bekannt, daß Polyamidfasern oder Polyamidfolien bei der Behandlung in Wasch- und Bleichbädern, die Peroxydverbindungen enthalten/stark angegriffen werden, so daß erhebliche Festigkeitsverluste auftreten. Der Festigkeitsabfall der handelsüblichen Polyamidfasern kann bis auf 40 bis 80 °/0 der ursprünglichen Festigkeit ansteigen, wenn die Einwirkung der peroxydhaltigen Wasch- und Bleichbäder bei höheren Temperaturen über einen längeren Zeitraum erfolgt, was beispielsweise bei der Behandlung von polyamidhaltigen Mischfaserstoffen zwecks Erzielung eines genügenden Bleicheffektes oft erforderlich ist, oder wenn, wie das bei dem Gebrauch von peroxydhaltigen Waschmitteln nötig ist, die Behandlung der Polyamid enthaltenden Gebrauchsgegenstände immer wieder je nach deren jeweiligen Verschmutzung in bestimmten Zeitabständen wiederholt werden muß. Auch wenn man die peroxydhaltigen Bleich- und Waschbäder in der bekannten Weise mit Magnesiumsilikat, Phosphaten oder sonstigen die spontane Sauerstoffentwicklung mäßigenden Zusätzen stabilisiert, treten dieselben Faserschäden auf.
Im Rahmen eines früheren Vorschlages ist bereits gezeigt worden, daß bestimmte zu der Klasse der Diaminoverbindungen gehörenden Stoffe die Eigenschaft haben, wenn man sie in kleinen Mengen den für die Wäsche oder Bleiche von Polyamidfasern oder polyamidhaltigen Fasergemischen bestimmten Be-
handlungsflotten zusetzt, die oben beschriebenen Faserschäden zu vermeiden oder zumindest weitgehend zu vermindern.
Bei der weiteren Entwicklung dieser Arbeiten wurde nun beobachtet, daß auch die verhältnismäßig einfach aufgebauten primären oder sekundären aromatischen Aminoverbindungen, wie z. B. das Anilin, Monomethylanüin oder Toluidin, die Eigenschaft haben, schon in sehr kleinen Konzentrationen die Polyamid-ίο fasern vor dem unerwünschten Angriff von Peroxyden zu schützen. Eine unerwünschte Eigenschaft, die die Verwendvng vieler dieser aromatischen Aminoverbindungen als Faserschutzmittel in peroxydhaltigen Bleichflotten praktisch unmöglich macht, besteht jedoch darin, daß sie sich unter dem Einfluß von Aktivsauerstoff verfärben und daß diese Verfärbungen von der Polyamidfaser fixiert werden.
Demgegenüber wurde nun gefunden, daß sich die Halogensubstitutionsprodukte dieser aromatischen Monoamine oder Monoimine, wie z. B. das o- und/oder p-Chloranilin, das 2, 4-Dichloranilin oder das 2, 5-D1-chloranüin, ohne den Nachteil unerwünschter Verfärbungserscheinungen zu zeigen, sich durch ein gutes Schutzvermögen für Polyamidfasern oder Polyamidsubstanzen enthaltenden Formgebilden gegen den aggressiven Einfluß von peroxydhaltigen Wasch-.oder Bleichflotten auszeichnen. Im Vergleich zu den entsprechenden einfachen Aminoverbindungen zeichnen sich deren Halogenierungsprodukte durch eine stark verminderte Giftigkeit aus.
Die erfindungsmäßige Verwendung dieser Verbindungen als Faserschutzmittel für Polyamidfasern gegen den schädlichen Einfluß von aktiven Sauerstoff enthaltenden Wasch- oder Bleichflotten erfolgt in der Regel derart, daß man diese Stoffe den üblichen Wasch- oder Bleichbädern in kleinen Mengen, die je nach dem Gehalt dieser Wasch- oder Bleichbäder an Peroxydsauerstoff etwa innerhalb der Grenzen von 0,05 bis ι g, vorzugsweise zwischen 0,3 und 0,5 g pro Liter, Hegen können, zusetzt. Ebensogut kann man aber auch diese Verbindungen in die handelsüblichen peroxydhaltigen Wasch- und Bleichpulvergemische einarbeiten. Man . erhält auf diese Weise Waschpulvergemische, die sich von den bisher gebräuchlichen Präparaten durch eine sehr gute Faserschutzwirkung, die sich auch bei einer längeren Lagerzeit nicht vermindert, auszeichnet. Endlich können .die erfindungsmäßigen Faserschutzmittel auch bei der Herstellung der Polyamidfasern in der Spinnmasse
5*> gelöst oder in ihr dispergiert und zusammen mit ihr versponnen werden, wobei Fasern, die sich durch eine gute Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen oxydierend wirkende Wasch- und Bleichmittel auszeichnen, gewonnen werden.
Durch die folgenden Vergleichsversuche soll der durch die Verwendung der erfindungsmäßigen Faserschutzmittel erzielbare Effekt deutlieh gemacht werden:
a) In einer Waschflotte, die pro Liter 10 g eines aus den folgenden Bestandteilen aufgebauten handeisüblichen sogenannten selbsttätigen Waschpulvers

neutrales Natriumpyrophosphat ., 22 %
Natriumcarbonat 16 % 6^
Natronwasserglas .. " 3 %
enthält, wird bei einer Temperatur von 900 Polyamidkunstseidengarn im Flottenverhältnis i:,6o während 2 Stunden gewaschen. Der pH-Wert dieser Waschflotte belief sich auf 10,1. Ihr Gehalt an Peroxydsauerstoff betrug zu Beginn der Waschoperation 0,09 g pro Liter, der sich im Verlaufe nach 2 Stunden auf 0,03 g pro Liter vermindert. Die Reißfestigkeit des Polyamidgarnes betrug vor Beginn der Waschoperation 44 Reißkilometer. Sie verminderte sich unter dem Einfluß der Waschbehandlung auf 29,7 Reißkilometer, was einem Festigkeitsverlust von 32 % entspricht.
b) Wäscht man demgegenüber das gleiche Polyamidgarn unter den gleichen Bedingungen in einer Waschflotte, die 10,3 g pro Liter eines peroxydhaltigen Waschpulvers der folgenden Zusammensetzung

enthält, so ging die Reißfestigkeit des Polyamidgarnes von 44 auf 42,1 Reißkilometer zurück, was einem Festigkeitsverlust von 6,6 °/0 entspricht. Infolge der Verwendung des erfindungsmäßigen Faserschutzmittels beträgt also der durch den Peroxydeinfluß bewirkte Festigkeitsabfall des Polyamidgarnes nur etwa ein Fünftel desjenigen, der bei Abwesenheit von Faserschutzmitteln eintritt.

    Verwendung der Halogensubstitutionsprodukte von aromatischen, primären oder sekundären Aminoverbindungen, namentlich von o- und/oder p-Chloranilin bzw. von 2,'4- oder:-3.,5-Dichloranilin, als Faserschutzmittel für Polyamidfasern oder Polyamidfolien gegen den Angriff von peroxydhaltigen Wasch- oder Bleichmittelflotten.
