目前,车辆开发成具有自主驾驶能力。在一些自主驾驶事件期间,选择性自主车辆的转向盘不是控制选择性自主车辆必需的。
发明内容
根据本发明的实施例,提供了转向组件。转向组件包括转向盘、高级驾驶员辅助系统、环境检测系统和控制器。转向盘选择性地联接到转向轴,且转向盘可在展开位置与收缩位置之间移动。高级驾驶员辅助系统与转向盘通信且配置成选择性地控制自主车辆。环境检测系统配置成提供舱室环境信号。控制器与高级驾驶员辅助系统通信。控制器编程为在转向盘处于收缩位置时,响应于停用高级驾驶员辅助系统的请求和舱室环境信号指示转向盘的清楚行进路径使转向盘朝展开位置移动且使转向盘可操作地联接到转向轴。

参看图1和图2,示出了自主车辆、自主驾驶的车辆或选择性自主车辆的车辆隔间10的侧视图。选择性自主车辆设有转向组件20和高级驾驶员辅助系统(ADAS)22,使得自主车辆、自主驾驶的车辆或选择性自主车辆能够在没有来自驾驶员的连续输入(例如,转向、加速、制动、操纵等)的情况下执行操作。ADAS 22允许选择性自主车辆使用感测、转向和/或制动技术至少部分地自主控制。选择性自主车辆的驾驶员能够经由开关或其它机构来选择性地启用或停用ADAS 22。选择性自主车辆的驾驶员能够在ADAS 22启用时在不提供输入至转向组件20的构件的情况下操作选择性自主车辆。
转向组件20包括转向盘30、调整组件32、环境检测系统34、转矩-位移传感器36,以及控制器38。转向盘30可操作地连接到转向柱,转向柱沿转向柱轴线50延伸。转向盘30选择性地联接到转向轴52,转向轴52沿转向柱轴线50延伸穿过转向柱。转向盘30可通过联接机构54直接地或间接地联接到转向轴52。联接机构54可包括断开离合器。当联接机构54的断开离合器至少部分地接合时转向盘30联接到转向轴52且ADAS 22停用。当联接机构54的断开离合器解除接合时转向盘30与转向轴52断开且ADAS 22启用。
在至少一个实施例中,联接机构54构造为避开线系统的构件,其使转向盘30电联接到转向轴52。联接机构54可包括诸如旋转编码器的装置,其解译转向盘30的旋转,且将信息应用于促动器,其旋转使一对车辆轮子枢转的转向轴52。当ADAS 22停用时,该装置提供信号至促动器。当ADAS 22启用时,该装置不提供信号或由促动器忽略。

参看图5和图6,便利特征66构造为凹部80,其被入口面板82选择性地隐藏。凹部80由转向盘30的核心60限定。凹部80的大小确定成接收游动装置84。游动装置84为移动电子装置、蜂窝式电话、双向无线电设备、个人计算机、GPS、平台计算装置、便携式电子装置等。
凹部80从转向盘30的核心60的表面朝转向轴52延伸。凹部80包括第一壁90、第二壁92、第三壁94和第四壁96。第一壁90、第二壁92、第三壁94和第四壁96中的至少一者的表面构造为非滑动表面。游动装置84接合第一壁90、第二壁92、第三壁94和第四壁96中的至少一者。
第一壁90与第二壁92间隔开且设置成与第二壁92相对。第一壁90和第二壁92大体上彼此平行设置。第三壁94在第一壁90与第二壁92之间延伸。第三壁94设置成大致垂直于第一壁90和第二壁92。第四壁96在第一壁90、第二壁92与第三壁94之间延伸。第四壁96设置成比第一壁90、第二壁92和第三壁94更接近转向轴52。
入口面板82枢转地或铰接地连接到转向盘30,以允许或阻止进入凹部80。更具体而言,入口面板82连接到核心60。如图5和图6中所示,凹部面板82可在允许进入凹部80的打开位置与阻止进入凹部80的关闭位置之间移动。

参看图1、图2、图7和图8,转向盘30可通过调整组件32在收缩位置(图1和图7)与展开位置(图2和图8)之间移动。收缩位置对应于转向盘30远离驾驶员和朝向/进入选择性自主车辆仪表盘110移位的位置。收缩位置提供了车辆隔间10内的增大的空间,以用于让选择性自主车辆的驾驶员执行非驾驶活动。在至少一个实施例中,转向盘30设置在选择性自主车辆仪表盘眉板下方。
展开位置对应于转向盘的驾驶位置,其中转向盘30能够旋转,且选择性自主车辆的驾驶员能够提供转向输入至转向盘30来使选择性自主车辆转向。
调整组件32与控制器38通信。调整组件32包括促动器120和延伸部件122。促动器120邻近转向柱设置。在至少一个实施例中,促动器120设置在选择性自主车辆仪表盘110内。促动器120为电子促动器、液压促动器、气动促动器等中的至少一者。

调整组件32构造成响应于停用ADAS 22的请求使转向盘30从收缩位置朝展开位置移动。当转向盘30朝展开位置移动时或在转向盘30达到展开位置之后,联接机构54使转向盘30可操作地联接到转向轴52。

输出装置132配置成响应于提供表示以下条件的信息的舱室环境信号来输出指示物(诸如视觉、触觉或听觉指示物):转向盘30与驾驶员之间的障碍物、转向盘30的行进路径内的物体、驾驶员的位置、和不可用的驾驶员(例如,驾驶员在驾驶员座内睡觉、驾驶员未在驾驶员座内、宠物或其它物体在驾驶员膝盖上等)、非期望的车辆动态、设置在便利特征66内或上的物体。指示物提供通知给驾驶员。在至少一个实施例中,输出装置132响应于与ADAS 22相关联的传感器来输出指示车辆隔间10外的不安全条件的指示物。输出装置132可设置为选择性自主车辆音频系统、选择性自主车辆警告信号的部分或能够提供音频或视觉输出的单独的系统。

Claims (15)

与所述高级驾驶员辅助系统通信的控制器,所述控制器编程为,在所述转向盘处于所述收缩位置时,响应于停用所述高级驾驶员辅助系统的请求和指示所述转向盘的清楚行进路径的舱室环境信号使所述转向盘朝所述展开位置移动且使所述转向盘可操作地联接到所述转向轴。
2.根据权利要求1所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述转向组件还包括与所述控制器通信的调整组件,所述调整组件包括:
邻近所述转向盘设置的促动器,以及
可操作地联接到所述促动器以及所述转向盘和所述转向轴中的至少一者的延伸部件,所述延伸部件和所述促动器布置成使所述转向盘在所述展开位置与所述收缩位置之间移动。
3.根据权利要求2所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述转向组件还包括邻近所述转向轴设置的转矩-位移传感器,所述转矩-位移传感器与所述控制器通信。
4.根据权利要求3所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述控制器编程为,在所述转向盘处于所述收缩位置时,响应于施加到所述转向盘的转矩大于转矩阈值和所述转向盘的位移大于位移阈值中的至少一者,使所述转向盘朝所述展开位置移动且使所述转向盘可操作地联接到所述转向轴。
5.根据权利要求2所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述环境检测系统设置成邻近所述转向组件。
6.根据权利要求5所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述控制器进一步编程为,响应于所述舱室环境信号指示所述转向盘的行进路径内的物体来启用视觉、触觉和听觉指示物中的至少一者。
7.根据权利要求5所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述控制器进一步编程为,响应于所述舱室环境信号指示车辆的驾驶员不可用来启用视觉、触觉和听觉指示物中的至少一者。
8.根据权利要求1所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述控制器进一步编程为,在所述转向盘处于所述展开位置时,响应于启用所述高级驾驶员辅助系统的请求和所述舱室环境信号指示所述转向盘的清楚行进路径使所述转向盘与所述转向轴可操作地分离且使所述转向盘朝所述收缩位置移动。
9.根据权利要求8所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述转向盘与所述转向轴的可操作分离阻止所述转向盘的旋转。
10.一种转向组件,包括:
具有便利特征的转向盘,其选择性地联接到转向轴且可在展开位置与收缩位置之间移动;
配置成提供舱室环境信号的环境检测系统;以及
控制器,其编程为在所述转向盘处于所述展开位置时,响应于启用高级驾驶员辅助系统的请求和所述舱室环境信号指示所述转向盘的清楚行进路径,使所述转向盘朝所述收缩位置移动且使所述转向盘与所述转向轴可操作地分离。
11.根据权利要求10所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述转向组件还包括调整组件,其包括可操作地联接到促动器以及所述转向盘和所述转向轴中的至少一者的延伸部件,所述调整组件配置成使所述转向盘在所述展开位置与所述收缩位置之间移动。
12.根据权利要求10所述的转向组件,其特征在于,所述便利特征包括:
可操作地联接到所述转向盘的可伸展部件,所述可伸展部件可在收起位置与伸展位置之间移动;以及
构造成阻止所述可伸展部件远离所述收起位置移动的锁定机构。
13.一种选择性自主控制的车辆,包括:
与转向组件和多个车辆传感器通信的控制器,所述控制器配备自主驾驶辅助系统,所述转向组件包括:
包括舱室环境传感器的环境检测系统,所述舱室环境传感器配置成将表示车辆隔间内的条件的信号提供至所述控制器;以及
选择性地联接到转向轴的转向盘,所述控制器响应于所述自主驾驶辅助系统的启用和所述信号使所述转向盘从可旋转状态切换至非旋转状态且使所述转向盘与所述转向轴分离。
14.根据权利要求13所述的选择性自主控制的车辆,其特征在于,所述转向组件还包括:
与所述控制器通信的调整组件,所述调整组件响应于所述自主驾驶辅助系统的启用和所述转向盘与所述转向轴分离使所述转向盘从所述伸展位置朝收缩位置移动。
15.根据权利要求13所述的选择性自主控制的车辆,其特征在于,所述转向盘包括:
由所述转向盘的核心限定的凹部;以及
连接到所述转向盘的核心的入口面板,所述入口面板可响应于所述自主驾驶辅助系统的启用和所述转向盘处于非旋转状态从关闭位置朝打开位置移动。
