Abstract
"BANDA DE RODAGEM APERFEIçOADA PARA PNEU DE DEMANDA PESADA". A presente invenção apresenta um pneu com uma nervura sacrificial (38) para proteger as nervuras principais da banda de rodagem de um pneu pelo retardamento do início do desgaste irregular e do desenvolvimento deste. A banda de rodagem de penu aperfeiçoada compreende uma série de nervuras principais (32, 34, 36) fornadas por ranhuras (42, 44) que se estendem geralmente em sentido circunferente em volta de uma superfície externa do pneu, de modo a se formar uma largura de banda de rodagem principal para contato com a superfície de sustentação. Uma nervura sacrificial (38) é apresentada para entrar em contato com a superfície de sustentação em cada lado das nervuras principais. A nervura sacrificial (38) é separada das nervuras principais (32, 34, 36) por uma ranhura de encosto estreito (48) que tem uma ranhura não superior a cerca de 1,5 mm. A nervura sacrificial (38) tem uma largura de superfície na faixa de cerca de 2,5 por cento até cerca de 12 por cento da largura da banda de rodagem. A nervura sacrificial (38) tem um recesso definido por um deslocamento radial de um perfil transversal ou lateral das nervuras principais (32, 34, 36). O deslocamento tem um valor na faixa de cerca de 0,50 mm até cerca de 2,0 mm quando o pneu é novo. Um fator de conformação é empregado para definir a conformação da nervura sacrificial (38), onde o fator de conformação tem um valor entre cerca de 0,10 e 0,50.
