 無線通信のための周波数資源を有効活用するという観点から、携帯電話機などの通信帯域として、多様な周波数帯域が割り当てられる。これに対応すべく、通信機器などのRF(Radio Frequency)回路に使用される帯域フィルタとして、多様な周波数仕様に対応した弾性表面波フィルタが設計開発され実用化されている。
 特許文献1には、高周波帯域かつ広帯域幅に適用可能なラダー型の弾性表面波素子が開示されている。具体的には、弾性表面波素子は、所定の共振周波数を有する並列共振子と、当該並列共振子の反共振周波数に略一致する共振周波数をもつ直列共振子と、並列共振子に直列に接続されたインダクタンスとを備え、帯域通過フィルタを構成している。上記並列共振子および直列共振子は、圧電基板上に形成されたIDT(Interdigital Transducer)電極により構成されている。特許文献1に記載された弾性表面波素子によれば、並列共振子に直列にインダクタンスを付加することで、共振子の共振周波数と反共振周波数との差を広げることができ、帯域通過フィルタの広帯域化が可能であるとしている。

 上述したような多様な周波数仕様に対応すべく、近年、弾性表面波素子を用いたアンテナデュプレクサ、および、高周波信号を分波するマルチプレクサなどが実用化されている。
 しかしながら、広い帯域幅かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する近年の周波数規格に対して、弾性表面波フィルタを適用しようとした場合、特許文献1に記載された従来のラダー型の設計手法では、通過帯域の挿入損失、隣接帯域の抑圧度、帯域間アイソレーションおよびインピーダンスなどの要求仕様を十分に満たすことが困難となってきている。ここで、例えば、LTE(Long Term Evolution)規格のBand25(送信通過帯域:1850-1915MHz、受信通過帯域:1930-1995MHz)を例示する。このBand25のように、より広い帯域幅(65MHz)、かつ、より狭い送受信帯域間隔(15MHz)を有する周波数規格に対して、弾性表面波素子を用いたアンテナデュプレクサまたはマルチプレクサを適用する場合には、従来の弾性表面波素子の設計手法では、所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の急峻性を得ることができないという課題を有する。
 そこで、本発明は、上記課題を解決するためになされたものであって、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する弾性波フィルタ、マルチプレクサ、デュプレクサ、および高周波フロントエンド回路および通信装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本発明の一態様に係る弾性波フィルタは、入力端子と出力端子との間に互いに直列に接続された4以上の直列共振子と、前記入力端子、前記出力端子および前記4以上の直列共振子の接続ノードのいずれかと基準端子との間に接続された並列共振子とを備え、前記4以上の直列共振子のうち、前記入力端子に最も近く接続された第1直列共振子および前記出力端子に最も近く接続された第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との差である周波数差は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差よりも小さく、かつ、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低い。
 上記構成によれば、入力端子および出力端子に最近接している第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数を、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低域側へシフトさせつつ、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の周波数差を、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子の周波数差よりも小さくしている。これにより、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の共振周波数は低域へシフトしないので、通過帯域内のインピーダンス特性は良好な特性を維持できる。一方、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数を通過帯域の高域端に近接させることにより、通過帯域の高域の帯域間領域における挿入損失の急峻性およびアイソレーションが改善される。よって、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ、通過帯域の高域の帯域間領域における挿入損失の高い急峻性を実現できる。
 また、前記4以上の直列共振子及び前記並列共振子は、圧電体層を備える基板上に形成されたIDT電極を有しており、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の前記IDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチは、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の前記IDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチよりも大きくてもよい。
 これにより、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の波長を大きくでき、当該直列共振子の反共振周波数を相対的に低くすることが可能となる。
 また、前記圧電体層を備える基板は、前記IDT電極が一方面上に形成された圧電体層と、前記圧電体層を伝搬する弾性波音速よりも、伝搬するバルク波音速が高速である高音速支持基板と、前記高音速支持基板と前記圧電体層との間に配置され、前記圧電体層を伝搬する弾性波音速よりも、伝搬するバルク波音速が低速である低音速膜とを備えてもよい。
 第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の周波数差Δfを、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子のΔfよりも小さく調整した場合、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子のQ値が想定的に小さくなることが想定される。しかしながら、このような場合であっても、圧電基板の上記積層構造によれば、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子のQ値を高い値に維持できる。
 また、前記4以上の直列共振子は、5つの直列共振子であり、前記5つの直列共振子のうち、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の3つの直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数の差である周波数差は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差よりも小さく、かつ、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の3つの直列共振子の反共振周波数は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低くてもよい。
 また、本発明の一態様に係るマルチプレクサは、所定の周波数帯域を選択的に通過させる帯域通過フィルタを複数有することにより、入力信号を分波するマルチプレクサであって、前記複数の帯域通過フィルタが通過させる前記周波数帯域のそれぞれは異なり、前記複数の帯域通過フィルタのそれぞれの一端同士は共通端子に接続され、前記複数の帯域通過フィルタのうち、最も高い前記周波数帯域を有する帯域通過フィルタ以外の帯域通過フィルタの少なくとも1つが、上記記載のいずれかの弾性波フィルタである。
 これにより、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ、当該通過帯域の高域の帯域間領域における挿入損失の高い急峻性を有するマルチプレクサを提供できる。
 また、本発明の一態様に係るデュプレクサは、送信側フィルタと、受信側フィルタとを有し、前記送信側フィルタの一端と、前記受信側フィルタとの一端とが共通接続されて、アンテナ端子に接続されたデュプレクサにおいて、前記送信側フィルタおよび前記受信側フィルタのうち、通過させる周波数帯域が低いほうのフィルタが、上記記載のいずれかの弾性波フィルタである。
 これにより、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ、当該通過帯域の高域の帯域間領域における挿入損失の高い急峻性を有するデュプレクサを提供することが可能となる。
 また、本発明の一態様に係る高周波フロントエンド回路は、上記記載の弾性波フィルタ、上記記載のマルチプレクサ、または上記記載のデュプレクサと、前記弾性波フィルタ、前記マルチプレクサまたは前記デュプレクサに接続された増幅回路と、を備える。
 これにより、広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する弾性波フィルタを備える高周波フロントエンド回路を提供することが可能となる。
 また、本発明の一態様に係る通信装置は、アンテナ素子で送受信される高周波信号を処理するRF信号処理回路と、前記アンテナ素子と前記RF信号処理回路との間で前記高周波信号を伝達する上記記載の高周波フロントエンド回路と、を備える。
 これにより、広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する弾性波フィルタを備える通信装置を提供することが可能となる。
 本発明に係る弾性波フィルタによれば、広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する弾性波フィルタ、マルチプレクサおよびデュプレクサを提供することが可能となる。

 以下、本発明の実施の形態について、実施例および図面を用いて詳細に説明する。なお、以下で説明する実施例は、いずれも包括的または具体的な例を示すものである。以下の実施例で示される数値、形状、材料、構成要素、構成要素の配置および接続形態などは、一例であり、本発明を限定する主旨ではない。以下の実施例における構成要素のうち、独立請求項に記載されていない構成要素については、任意の構成要素として説明される。また、図面に示される構成要素の大きさまたは大きさの比は、必ずしも厳密ではない。
 (実施例)
 [1.デュプレクサの基本構成]
 本実施例では、LTE(Time Division Long Term Evolution)規格のBand25(送信通過帯域:1850-1915MHz、受信通過帯域:1930-1995MHz)に適用されるアンテナデュプレクサについて例示する。
 図1は、実施例に係るデュプレクサ1の回路構成図である。同図に示すように、デュプレクサ1は、送信側フィルタ10と、受信側フィルタ20と、アンテナ端子31と、インダクタンス素子311とを備える。
 送信側フィルタ10は、送信回路(RFICなど)で生成された送信波を、送信入力端子11を経由して入力し、当該送信波を送信通過帯域でフィルタリングして送信側出力端子であるアンテナ端子31へ出力する非平衡入力-非平衡出力型の帯域通過フィルタである。送信側フィルタ10は、本発明の要部の弾性波フィルタであり、ラダー型の弾性表面波フィルタである。送信側フィルタ10の構成については、後述する送信側フィルタの構成において詳述する。
 受信側フィルタ20は、受信側入力端子でもあるアンテナ端子31から入力された受信波を入力し、当該受信波を受信通過帯域でフィルタリングして受信出力端子21へ出力する非平衡入力-非平衡出力型の帯域通過フィルタである。受信側フィルタ20は、例えば、縦結合型の弾性表面波フィルタ部を含む。より具体的には、受信側フィルタ20は、縦結合型フィルタ部21Aと、直列共振子201および202と、並列共振子251および252とで構成されている。
 インダクタンス素子311は、アンテナ端子31と送信側フィルタ10および受信側フィルタ20の接続点との間に設けられたインピーダンス整合素子である。これにより、アンテナ素子と送信側フィルタ10および受信側フィルタ20とのインピーダンス整合をとることが可能となる。
 [2.弾性表面波共振子の構造]
 送信側フィルタ10および受信側フィルタ20の構成要素である共振子の構造について説明する。
 図2は、実施例に係る弾性表面波フィルタの共振子を模式的に表す平面図および断面図である。同図には、送信側フィルタ10および受信側フィルタ20を構成する複数の共振子のうち、直列共振子101の構造を表す平面摸式図および断面模式図が例示されている。なお、図2に示された直列共振子101は、上記複数の共振子の典型的な構造を説明するためのものであって、電極を構成する電極指の本数や長さなどは、これに限定されない。
 送信側フィルタ10および受信側フィルタ20の各共振子は、圧電体層53を有する基板50と、櫛形形状を有するIDT(InterDigital Transducer)電極11aおよび11bとで構成されている。
 図2の平面図に示すように、基板50の上には、互いに対向する一対のIDT電極11aおよび11bが形成されている。IDT電極11aは、互いに平行な複数の電極指110aと、複数の電極指110aを接続するバスバー電極111aとで構成されている。また、IDT電極11bは、互いに平行な複数の電極指110bと、複数の電極指110bを接続するバスバー電極111bとで構成されている。複数の電極指110aおよび110bは、X軸方向と直交する方向に沿って形成されている。
 また、複数の電極指110aおよび110b、ならびに、バスバー電極111aおよび111bで構成されるIDT電極54は、図2の断面図に示すように、密着層541と主電極層542との積層構造となっている。
 密着層541は、基板50と主電極層542との密着性を向上させるための層であり、材料として、例えば、Tiが用いられる。密着層541の膜厚は、例えば、12nmである。
 主電極層542は、材料として、例えば、Cuを1%含有したAlが用いられる。主電極層542の膜厚は、例えば162nmである。
 保護層55は、IDT電極11aおよび11bを覆うように形成されている。保護層55は、主電極層542を外部環境から保護する、周波数温度特性を調整する、および、耐湿性を高めるなどを目的とする層であり、例えば、二酸化ケイ素を主成分とする膜である。
 なお、密着層541、主電極層542および保護層55を構成する材料は、上述した材料に限定されない。さらに、IDT電極54は、上記積層構造でなくてもよい。IDT電極54は、例えば、Ti、Al、Cu、Pt、Au、Ag、Pdなどの金属又は合金から構成されてもよく、また、上記の金属又は合金から構成される複数の積層体から構成されてもよい。また、保護層55は、形成されていなくてもよい。
 つぎに、基板50の積層構造について説明する。
 図2の下段に示すように、基板50は、高音速支持基板51と、低音速膜52と、圧電体層53とを備え、高音速支持基板51、低音速膜52および圧電体層53がこの順で積層された構造を有している。
 圧電体層53は、50°YカットX伝搬LiTaO3圧電単結晶または圧電セラミックス(X軸を中心軸としてY軸から50°回転した軸を法線とする面で切断したタンタル酸リチウム単結晶またはセラミックスであって、X軸方向に弾性表面波が伝搬する単結晶またはセラミックス)からなる。圧電体層53は、例えば、厚みが600nmである。
 高音速支持基板51は、低音速膜52、圧電膜体層53ならびにIDT電極54を支持する基板である。高音速支持基板51は、さらに、圧電体層53を伝搬する表面波や境界波の弾性波よりも、高音速支持基板51中のバルク波の音速が高速となる基板であり、弾性表面波を圧電体層53および低音速膜52が積層されている部分に閉じ込め、高音速支持基板51より下方に漏れないように機能する。高音速支持基板51は、例えば、シリコン基板であり、厚みは、例えば200μmである。
 低音速膜52は、圧電体層53を伝搬する弾性波の音速よりも、低音速膜52中のバルク波の音速が低速となる膜であり、圧電体層53と高音速支持基板51との間に配置される。この構造と、弾性波が本質的に低音速な媒質にエネルギーが集中するという性質とにより、弾性表面波エネルギーのIDT電極外への漏れが抑制される。低音速膜52は、例えば、二酸化ケイ素を主成分とする膜であり、厚みは、例えば670nmである。
 基板50の上記積層構造によれば、圧電基板を単層で使用している従来の構造と比較して、共振周波数および反共振周波数におけるQ値を大幅に高めることが可能となる。すなわち、Q値が高い弾性表面波共振子を構成し得るので、当該弾性表面波共振子を用いて、挿入損失が小さいフィルタを構成することが可能となる。
 また、後述する送信側フィルタ10の、両端子に接続された直列共振子101および105を除く直列共振子102~104の共振周波数と反共振周波数との周波数差Δfを、両端子に接続された直列共振子のΔfよりも小さく調整した場合、直列共振子102~104のQ値が直列共振子101および105のQ値より小さくなることが想定される。しかしながら、このような場合であっても、基板50の上記積層構造によれば、直列共振子102~104のQ値を高い値に維持できる。よって、広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の低損失性および通過帯域外における高急峻性を有する弾性表面波フィルタを形成することが可能となる。
 なお、高音速支持基板51は、支持基板と、圧電体層53を伝搬する表面波や境界波の弾性波よりも、伝搬するバルク波の音速が高速となる高音速膜とが積層された構造を有していてもよい。この場合、支持基板は、サファイア、リチウムタンタレート、リチュウムニオベイト、水晶等の圧電体、アルミナ、マグネシア、窒化ケイ素、窒化アルミニウム、炭化ケイ素、ジルコニア、コージライト、ムライト、ステアタイト、フォルステライト等の各種セラミック、ガラス等の誘電体またはシリコン、窒化ガリウム等の半導体及び樹脂基板等を用いることができる。また、高音速膜は、窒化アルミニウム、酸化アルミニウム、炭化ケイ素、窒化ケイ素、酸窒化ケイ素、DLC膜またはダイヤモンド、上記材料を主成分とする媒質、上記材料の混合物を主成分とする媒質等、様々な高音速材料を用いることができる。
 ここで、IDT電極の設計パラメータについて説明する。弾性表面波共振子の波長とは、図2の中段に示すIDT電極11aおよび11bを構成する複数の電極指110aおよび110bの繰り返しピッチλで規定される。また、IDT電極の交叉幅Lは、図2の上段に示すように、IDT電極11aの電極指110aとIDT電極11bの電極指110bとのX軸方向から見た場合の重複する電極指長さである。また、デューティー比は、複数の電極指110aおよび110bのライン幅占有率であり、複数の電極指110aおよび110bのライン幅とスペース幅との加算値に対する当該ライン幅の割合である。より具体的には、デューティー比は、IDT電極11aおよび11bを構成する電極指110aおよび110bのライン幅をWとし、隣り合う電極指110aと電極指110bとの間のスペース幅をSとした場合、W/(W+S)で定義される。
 [3.送信側フィルタの回路構成]
 図1に示すように、送信側フィルタ10は、直列共振子101~105と、並列共振子151~154と、整合用のインダクタンス素子141および161と、送信入力端子11とを備える。
 直列共振子101~105は、送信入力端子11とアンテナ端子31との間に互いに直列に接続されている。また、並列共振子151~154は、送信入力端子11、アンテナ端子31および直列共振子101~105の各接続点と基準端子(グランド)との間に互いに並列に接続されている。直列共振子101~105および並列共振子151~154の上記接続構成により、送信側フィルタ10は、ラダー型のバンドパスフィルタを構成している。また、インダクタンス素子141は、送信入力端子11と直列共振子101との間に接続され、インダクタンス素子161は、並列共振子152、153および154の接続点と基準端子との間に接続されている。
 表1に、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10の直列共振子101~105、並列共振子151~154の設計パラメータ(ピッチλ、交叉幅L、IDT対数N、デューティー比D)の詳細を示す。

 上記表1に示された各共振子のピッチλは、各共振子の波長と定義される。また、各共振子の容量は、表1に示された設計パラメータおよび圧電基板50の誘電率などにより決定される。
 なお、本実施例では、9個の共振子によりT型のラダー型フィルタを構成しているが、π型のラダー型フィルタを構成してもよい。また、共振子の数は9個に限らず、直列共振子は4以上であればよい。
 ここで、送信入力端子11に最も近く接続された直列共振子101(第1共振子)の反共振周波数fas1と共振周波数frs1との周波数差(fas1-frs1)をΔf1と定義する。また、アンテナ端子31に最も近く接続された直列共振子105の反共振周波数fas5と共振周波数frs5との周波数差(fas5-frs5)をΔf5と定義する。同様にして、直列共振子101および105以外の直列共振子102、103および104の反共振周波数fas2、fas3およびfas4と共振周波数frs2、frs3およびfrs4との周波数差を、それぞれ、Δf2(=fas2-frs2)、Δf3(=fas3-frs3)およびΔf4(=fas4-frs4)と定義する。
 本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10では、以下の関係式(式1)かつ(式2)が成立する。

 つまり、送信入力端子11に最も近く接続された直列共振子101およびアンテナ端子31に最も近く接続された直列共振子105以外の全ての直列共振子102、103および104の反共振周波数と共振周波数の差である周波数差Δf2、Δf3およびΔf4は、直列共振子101および105の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差Δf1およびΔf5よりも小さく、かつ、直列共振子102、103および104の反共振周波数fas2、fas3およびfas4は、直列共振子101および105の反共振周波数fas1およびfas5よりも低い。
 なお、上記式1を実現する構成として、直列共振子102、103および104の波長を、直列共振子101および105の波長よりも大きくしてもよい。つまり、直列共振子101~105のIDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチを、それぞれ、λ1~λ5とすると、式1における関係を、以下の式3となる構成で実現してもよい。

 これにより、例えば、Band25のような広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する送信側フィルタ10および送信側フィルタ10を備えるデュプレクサ1を提供することが可能となる。
 なお、本実施の形態では、直列共振子101および105に対して、直列共振子102~104の周波数差Δf2、Δf3およびΔf4を小さくする設計手法として、IDT電極の間引き重み付け処理を用いている。また、周波数差Δfを小さくする手法としては、IDT電極の間引き重み付け処理の他、共振子にキャパシタを並列接続する処理、および、共振子の電極膜厚やデューティー比を変更する処理等が用いられる。本発明に係るΔfの調整手段としては、上述したいずれの処理を用いても、上記効果が得られる。
 以下、式1~式3のような特徴を備える送信側フィルタ10およびデュプレクサ1が、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有することを説明する。
 [4.受信側フィルタの回路構成]
 図1に示すように、受信側フィルタ20は、縦結合型フィルタ部21Aと、直列共振子201および202ならびに並列共振子251を有するラダー型フィルタ部と、並列共振子252を有するトラップ部とで構成されている。
 図3は、実施例に係る縦結合型フィルタ部21Aの電極構成を示す概略平面図である。同図に示すように、縦結合型フィルタ部21Aは、IDT211~219と、反射器220および221と、入力端子22および出力端子23とを備える。
 IDT211~219は、それぞれ、互いに対向する一対のIDT電極で構成されている。IDT214および216は、IDT215をX軸方向に挟み込むように配置され、IDT213および217は、IDT214~216をX軸方向に挟み込むように配置されている。また、IDT212および218は、IDT213~217をX軸方向に挟み込むように配置され、IDT211および219は、IDT212~218をX軸方向に挟み込むように配置されている。反射器220および221は、IDT211~219をX軸方向に挟み込むように配置されている。また、IDT211、213、215、217および219は、入力端子22と基準端子(グランド)との間に並列接続され、IDT212、214、216および218は、出力端子23と基準端子との間に並列接続されている。
 IDT211~219、直列共振子201および202、ならびに並列共振子251および252の基本構造は、図2で示したものと同様である。
 [5.弾性表面波フィルタの動作原理]
 ここで、本実施の形態に係るラダー型の弾性表面波フィルタの動作原理について説明する。
 図1に示された並列共振子151~154は、それぞれ、共振特性において共振周波数frpおよび反共振周波数fap(>frp)を有している。また、直列共振子101~105は、それぞれ、共振特性において共振周波数frsおよび反共振周波数fas(>frs>frp)を有している。なお、直列共振子101~105の共振周波数frsは、略一致するように設計されるが、表1に示されたように各共振子の設計パラメータが異なることから、必ずしも一致していない。また、直列共振子101~105の反共振周波数fas、並列共振子151~154の共振周波数frp、および、並列共振子151~154の反共振周波数fapについても同様であり、必ずしも一致していない。
 ラダー型の共振子によりバンドパスフィルタを構成するにあたり、並列共振子151~154の反共振周波数fapと直列共振子101~105の共振周波数frsとを近接させる。これにより、並列共振子151~154のインピーダンスが0に近づく共振周波数frp近傍は、低域側阻止域となる。また、これより周波数が増加すると、反共振周波数fap近傍で並列共振子151~154のインピーダンスが高くなり、かつ、共振周波数frs近傍で直列共振子101~105のインピーダンスが0に近づく。これにより、反共振周波数fap~共振周波数frsの近傍では、送信入力端子11からアンテナ端子31への信号経路において信号通過域となる。さらに、周波数が高くなり、反共振周波数fas近傍になると、直列共振子101~105のインピーダンスが高くなり、高周波側阻止域となる。つまり、直列共振子101~105の反共振周波数fasを、信号通過域外のどこに設定するかにより、高周波側阻止域における減衰特性の急峻性が大きく影響する。
 図1および図2に示された上記構造および上記動作原理を有する送信側フィルタ10において、送信入力端子11から高周波信号が入力されると、送信入力端子11と基準端子との間で電位差が生じ、これにより、圧電基板50が歪むことでX方向に伝搬する弾性表面波が発生する。ここで、IDT電極11aおよび11bのピッチλと、通過帯域の波長とを略一致させておくことにより、通過させたい周波数成分を有する高周波信号のみが送信側フィルタ10を通過する。
 以下、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10の周波数特性について、比較例に係る送信波フィルタと比較しながら説明する。
 [6-1.実施例と比較例1との特性比較]
 図4Aは、実施例および比較例1に係る送信側フィルタの通過特性を示すグラフである。また、図4Bは、実施例および比較例1に係る送信入力端子11-受信出力端子21間のアイソレーション特性を示すグラフである。また、図4Cは、実施例および比較例1に係る送信側フィルタのアンテナ端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。また、図4Dは実施例および比較例1に係る送信側フィルタの送信端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。
 図4A~図4Dに示された比較例1に係る送信側フィルタは、図1に示されたラダー型の構成、つまり5つの直列共振子と4つの並列共振子とを有している点は、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10と同じであるが、各共振子の設計パラメータが異なる。具体的には、比較例1に係る送信側フィルタは、以下の関係式を満たすように共振子の設計パラメータが設定されている。

 なお、比較例1に係る送信側フィルタにおいて、送信入力端子に近いものから、直列共振子701、702、703、704および705とする。また、直列共振子701~705の共振周波数を、それぞれ、frs71~frs75とし、反共振周波数を、それぞれ、fas71~fas75とする。また、直列共振子701~705の共振周波数および反共振周波数の周波数差を、それぞれ、Δf71~Δf75とする。
 つまり、比較例1に係る送信側フィルタにおいて、送信入力端子およびアンテナ端子のいずれにも最近接していない直列共振子704の反共振周波数fas74は、その他の4つの直列共振子の反共振周波数fas71、fas72、fas73およびfas75よりも低い。一方、直列共振子702および703の反共振周波数fas72およびfas73は、直列共振子701および705の反共振周波数fas71およびfas75と同程度または高い。また、5つの直列共振子の周波数差Δf71~Δf75は、略等しい。
 図5A~図5Eは、それぞれ、実施例に係る送信側フィルタの直列共振子101~105のインピーダンス特性を示すグラフである。また、図6A~図6Eは、それぞれ、比較例1に係る送信側フィルタの直列共振子701~705のインピーダンス特性を示すグラフである。図5A~図5Eおよび図6A~図6Eに示された周波数特性のグラフは、送信側フィルタの通過特性(左側縦軸:S21)を表示しているとともに、各直列共振子のインピーダンス特性(右側縦軸:20log|Z|)を表示している。
 図6Aおよび図6Eに示された直列共振子701および705の反共振周波数fas71およびfas75と比較して、図6Dに示された直列共振子704の反共振周波数fas4のみが、送信帯域の高域端に近接している。また、図6A~図6Eに示された直列共振子701~705の周波数差Δf71~Δf75は、略等しい。つまり、比較例1に係る送信側フィルタでは、上記式4および式5が成立している。
 比較例1の上記構成では、図4Aおよび図4Bに示すように、送信帯域とその高周波側にある受信帯域との間の送受信帯域間領域FAにおいて、送信入力端子-受信出力端子間のアイソレーション(挿入損失)が55dBをクリアできていない。
 これに対して、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10では、図5Aおよび図5Eに示された直列共振子101および105の反共振周波数fas1およびfas5と比較して、図5B~図5Dに示された直列共振子102~104の反共振周波数fas2~fas4は、送信帯域の高域端に近接している。さらに、図5B~図5Dに示された直列共振子102~104の周波数差Δf2~Δf4は、図5Aおよび図5Eに示された直列共振子101および105の周波数差Δf1およびΔf5よりも小さい。つまり、実施例に係る送信側フィルタでは、上記式1および式2が成立している。
 直列共振子102~104の反共振周波数fas2~fas4を送信帯域の高域端に近接させたことにより、図4Aおよび図4Bに示すように、送受信帯域間領域FAにおける減衰特性の急峻性が改善されている。具体的には、送信帯域の高域(挿入損失が2.5dB以下となる周波数)から送受信帯域間領域(アイソレーションが55dBとなる周波数)までの周波数間隔は、比較例1よりも実施例のほうが約1.6MHz狭くなっている。
 送信帯域の高域側領域において挿入損失の急峻性が改善されている一方で、図4Cおよび図4Dに示すように、アンテナ端子31(図4C)および送信入力端子11(図4D)から見た定存波比(VSWR)は、送信帯域内において良好な値に維持されている。
 通過帯域における所望の挿入損失および所望のインピーダンスを確保するという観点から、送信入力端子11に接続された直列共振子101およびアンテナ端子接続された直列共振子105の容量が決定される。この場合、直列共振子101および105の共振周波数frs1およびfrs5は、送信帯域の中心周波数近傍となるように設定される。仮に、直列共振子102~104の反共振周波数fas2~fas4を、fas1およびfas5に比べて送信帯域の高域端に近接させ、Δf2~Δf4をΔf1およびΔf5と同等に維持した場合には、共振周波数frs2~frs4が送信帯域の中心周波数から低域側へとシフトすることとなる。この場合には、共振周波数の低域シフトにより、送信帯域内のインピーダンス特性が悪化してしまう。これに対して、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10では、反共振周波数fas2~fas4を低域側へシフトさせつつ、Δf2~Δf4を小さくしている。これにより、反共振周波数fas2~fas4がfas1およびfas5よりも低域側へシフトしても、共振周波数frs2~frs4は低域へシフトしないので、送信帯域内のインピーダンス特性は維持できる。つまり、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10は、送信帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ、隣接する受信帯域との間の周波数領域における挿入損失の高い急峻性を実現できる。
 [6-2.実施例と比較例2との特性比較]
 図7Aは、実施例および比較例2に係る送信側フィルタの通過特性を示すグラフである。また、図7Bは、実施例および比較例2に係る送信入力端子11-受信出力端子21間のアイソレーション特性を示すグラフである。また、図7Cは、実施例および比較例2に係る送信側フィルタのアンテナ端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。また、図7Dは実施例および比較例2に係る送信側フィルタの送信端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。
 図7A~図7Dに示された比較例2に係る送信側フィルタは、図1に示されたラダー型の構成、つまり5つの直列共振子と4つの並列共振子とを有している点は、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10と同じであるが、各共振子の設計パラメータが異なる。具体的には、比較例2に係る送信側フィルタは、以下の関係式を満たすように共振子の設計パラメータが設定されている。

 なお、比較例2に係る送信側フィルタにおいて、送信入力端子に近いものから、直列共振子801、802、803、804および805とする。また、直列共振子801~805の共振周波数を、それぞれ、frs81~frs85とし、反共振周波数を、それぞれ、fas81~fas85とする。また、直列共振子801~805の共振周波数および反共振周波数の周波数差を、それぞれ、Δf81~Δf85とする。
 つまり、比較例2に係る送信側フィルタにおいて、送信入力端子およびアンテナ端子のいずれにも最近接していない直列共振子802~804の反共振周波数fas82~fas84は、直列共振子801および805の反共振周波数fas81およびfas85よりも低い。また、5つの直列共振子の周波数差Δf81~Δf85は、略等しい。
 比較例2に係る送信側フィルタの各直列共振子が上記式6の関係を満たすことにより、直列共振子802~804の反共振周波数fas82~fas84は、直列共振子801および805の反共振周波数fas81およびfas85よりも、送信帯域の高域端に近接する。しかしながら、図7Bに示すように、受信帯域の低域端(1930MHz)付近のアイソレーションは改善されていない。
 一方、比較例2に係る送信側フィルタの各直列共振子が上記式6および式7の関係を満たすことにより、直列共振子802~804の共振周波数frs82~frs84は、送信帯域の中心周波数から低域側へとシフトする。これにより、図7Cおよび図7Dに示すように、アンテナ端子31(図7C)および送信入力端子11(図7D)から見た定存波比(VSWR)は、送信帯域内において悪化している。つまり、共振周波数の低域シフトにより、送信帯域内においてインピーダンス特性が悪化してしまう。
 [6-3.実施例と比較例3との特性比較]
 図8Aは、実施例および比較例3に係る送信側フィルタの通過特性を示すグラフである。また、図8Bは、実施例および比較例3に係る送信入力端子11-受信出力端子21間のアイソレーション特性を示すグラフである。また、図8Cは、実施例および比較例3に係る送信側フィルタのアンテナ端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。また、図8Dは実施例および比較例3に係る送信側フィルタの送信端子側のVSWRを示すグラフである。
 図8A~図8Dに示された比較例3に係る送信側フィルタは、図1に示されたラダー型の構成、つまり5つの直列共振子と4つの並列共振子とを有している点は、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10と同じであるが、各共振子の設計パラメータが異なる。具体的には、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタは、以下の関係式を満たすように共振子の設計パラメータが設定されている。

 つまり、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタにおいて、送信入力端子に最近接している直列共振子901を含む直列共振子901~903の反共振周波数fas91~fas93は、直列共振子904および905の反共振周波数fas94およびfas95よりも低い。また、直列共振子901~903の周波数差Δf91~Δf93は、直列共振子904および905の周波数差Δf94およびΔf95よりも小さい。つまり、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタでは、上記式8および式9が成立している。
 比較例3に係る送信側フィルタの各直列共振子が上記式8の関係を満たすことにより、直列共振子901~903の反共振周波数fas91~fas93は、直列共振子904および905の反共振周波数fas94およびfas95よりも、送信帯域の高域端に近接する。
 一方、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタの各直列共振子が上記式8および式9の関係を満たすことにより、直列共振子901~903の共振周波数frs91~frs93は、送信帯域の中心周波数付近を維持している。しかしながら、図8Cおよび図8Dに示すように、アンテナ端子31(図8C)および送信入力端子11(図8D)から見た定存波比(VSWR)は、送信帯域内において悪化している。これは、送信入力端子11に最近接する直列共振子901のΔf91を小さくしたため、送信入力端子におけるインピーダンスが悪化したためである。つまり、送信入力端子に最近接する直列共振子901のΔf91を、Δ94およびΔ95よりも小さくすると、送信帯域内においてインピーダンス特性が悪化してしまう。
 [6-4.実施例と比較例4との特性比較]
 図9Aは、実施例および比較例4に係る送信側フィルタの通過特性を示すグラフである。また、図9Bは、実施例および比較例4に係る送信入力端子11-受信出力端子21間のアイソレーション特性を示すグラフである。
 図9Aおよび図9Bに示された比較例4に係る送信側フィルタは、図1に示されたラダー型の構成、つまり5つの直列共振子と4つの並列共振子とを有している点は、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10と同じであるが、各共振子の設計パラメータが異なる。具体的には、比較例4に係る送信側フィルタは、以下の関係式を満たすように共振子の設計パラメータが設定されている。

 なお、比較例4に係る送信側フィルタの直列共振子、反共振周波数、共振周波数および周波数差の各符号は、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタの各符号と同じである。
 比較例4に係る送信側フィルタは、比較例3に係る送信側フィルタと比較して、送信入力端子におけるインピーダンスを改善するため、比較例3の直列共振子901の周波数を高くしたものである。つまり、直列共振子901の反共振周波数fas91を、比較例3よりも高くしたものである。
 比較例4に係る各直列共振子の上記構成により、特に、送信入力端子におけるインピーダンスを改善することができる。しかしながら、図9Aおよび図9Bに示すように、送受信帯域間領域における挿入損失の急峻性およびアイソレーションが悪化してしまう。つまり、比較例4に係る送信側フィルタの構成では、送信帯域内の所望のインピーダンス、および、送信帯域より高域における所望の急峻性を両立させることはできない。
 [6-5.実施例および比較例のまとめ]
 表2に、実施例および比較例1~4に係る送信側フィルタの反共振周波数および周波数差の関係をまとめた結果を示す。

 上記表2において、送信入力端子およびアンテナ端子に最近接する基準の直列共振子の反共振周波数fasよりも低く設定された反共振周波数fasには「>」を付している。また、送信入力端子およびアンテナ端子に最近接する基準の直列共振子の基準の周波数差Δfよりも小さく設定された周波数差Δfには「>」を付している。
 比較例1では、送受信帯域間領域において、所望のアイソレーションを満足できない。
 比較例2では、共振周波数frs82~frs84が、送信帯域の中心周波数から低域側へとシフトする。これにより、アンテナ端子および送信入力端子から見た定存波比(VSWR)が、送信帯域内において悪化する。
 比較例3では、反共振周波数fas91~fas93が送信帯域の高域端に近接するとともに、共振周波数frs91~frs93が送信帯域の中心周波数付近を維持している。しかし、送信入力端子に最近接する直列共振子901のΔf91を小さくしたため、送信入力端子におけるインピーダンスが悪化する。
 比較例4では、比較例3における送信入力端子でのインピーダンスを改善するため、直列共振子901の周波数を高くしている。これにより、送信入力端子におけるインピーダンスを改善できるが、送受信帯域間領域における挿入損失の急峻性およびアイソレーションが悪化してしまう。
 つまり、比較例1~4に係る送信側フィルタによれば、通過帯域高域側における通過特性の急峻性を良くするために複数の直列共振子の反共振点を通過帯域高域端に近づけると、周波数差Δfが大きすぎるために共振周波数が通過帯域内の低域側へシフトする。これにより、インピーダンスが悪化する。また、通過帯域高域側における通過特性の急峻性を改善するため、送信入力端子に最近接する直列共振子の反共振周波数および周波数差Δfを調整すると、インピーダンスが悪化する。
 これに対して、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10では、送信入力端子11およびアンテナ端子31に最近接している直列共振子101および105以外の直列共振子102~104の反共振周波数fas2~fas4をfas1およびfas5よりも低域側へシフトさせつつ、Δf2~Δf4をΔf1およびΔf5よりも小さくしている。これにより、共振周波数frs2~frs4は低域へシフトしないので、送信帯域内のインピーダンス特性は所望の特性を維持できる。一方、反共振周波数fas2~fas4を送信帯域の高域端に近接させたことにより、送信帯域の高域側における送受信帯域間領域FAにおける挿入損失の急峻性およびアイソレーションが改善される。つまり、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10は、送信帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ、隣接する受信帯域との間の周波数領域における挿入損失の高い急峻性を実現できる。
 以上のように、本実施の形態に係る送信側フィルタ10は、圧電基板50上に形成されたIDT電極を有し、送信入力端子11とアンテナ端子31との間に互いに直列に接続された5つの直列共振子101~105と、圧電基板50上に形成されたIDT電極を有する並列共振子151~154とを備える。ここで、送信入力端子11に最も近く接続された直列共振子101およびアンテナ端子31に最も近く接続された直列共振子105以外の全ての直列共振子102~104の周波数差Δf2~Δf4は、直列共振子101および105の周波数差Δf1およびΔf5よりも小さく、かつ、直列共振子102~104の反共振周波数fas2~fas4は、直列共振子101および105の反共振周波数fas1およびfas5よりも低い。
 また、直列共振子102~104のIDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチλ2~λ4は、直列共振子101および105のIDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチλ1およびλ5よりも大きくてもよい。
 また、本実施の形態に係る送信側フィルタ(弾性波フィルタ)は、直列共振子を5つ備える構成に限定されず、4以上の直列共振子を備えていればよく、当該4以上の直列共振子のうち、入力端子に最も近く接続された第1直列共振子および出力端子に最も近く接続された第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子のΔfは、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子のΔfよりも小さく、かつ、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数fasは、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子の反共振周波数fasよりも低ければよい。この構成により、本実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10と同様の効果が奏される。
 また、所定の周波数帯域を選択的に通過させる帯域通過フィルタを複数有することにより、入力信号を分波するマルチプレクサであって、複数の帯域通過フィルタが通過させる周波数帯域のそれぞれは異なり、当該複数の帯域通過フィルタのそれぞれの一端同士は共通端子に接続され、当該複数の帯域通過フィルタのうち、最も高い周波数帯域を有する帯域通過フィルタ以外の帯域通過フィルタの少なくとも1つが、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10の特性を有する帯域通過フィルタであってもよい。
 また、送信側フィルタおよび受信側フィルタのうち、通過させる周波数帯域が低いほうのフィルタが、実施例に係る送信側フィルタ10の特性を有する帯域通過フィルタであるデュプレクサであってもよい。
 [6-6.高周波フロントエンド回路および通信装置の構成]
 ここで、上記実施例に係るデュプレクサ1を備える高周波フロントエンド回路60および通信装置70について説明する。
 図10は、実施例に係るデュプレクサ1を備える高周波フロントエンド回路60および通信装置70の回路構成図である。同図には、高周波フロントエンド回路60と、アンテナ素子2と、RF信号処理回路(RFIC)3と、ベースバンド信号処理回路(BBIC)4とが示されている。
 高周波フロントエンド回路60と、RF信号処理回路3と、ベースバンド信号処理回路4とは、通信装置70を構成している。
 高周波フロントエンド回路60は、デュプレクサ1と、パワーアンプ回路41と、ローノイズアンプ回路42とを備える。
 パワーアンプ回路41は、RF信号処理回路3から出力された高周波送信信号を増幅し、送信入力端子11、送信側フィルタ10、およびアンテナ端子31を経由してアンテナ素子2に出力する送信増幅回路である。
 ローノイズアンプ回路42は、アンテナ素子2、アンテナ端子31および送信側フィルタ20を経由した高周波信号を増幅し、RF信号処理回路3へ出力する受信増幅回路である。
 RF信号処理回路3は、アンテナ素子2から受信信号経路を介して入力された高周波受信信号を、ダウンコンバートなどにより信号処理し、当該信号処理して生成された受信信号をベースバンド信号処理回路4へ出力する。また、RF信号処理回路3は、ベースバンド信号処理回路4から入力された送信信号をアップコンバートなどにより信号処理し、当該信号処理して生成された高周波送信信号をパワーアンプ回路31へ出力する。RF信号処理回路3は、例えば、RFIC(Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit)である。
 ベースバンド信号処理回路4で処理された信号は、例えば、画像信号として画像表示のために、または、音声信号として通話のために使用される。
 なお、高周波フロントエンド回路60は、デュプレクサ1、パワーアンプ回路41、ならびにローノイズアンプ回路42の間に、他の回路素子を備えていてもよい。
 上記構成によれば、広い通過帯域かつ狭い隣接帯域間隔を有する周波数規格に対しても、通過帯域内の所望のインピーダンスを維持しつつ通過帯域外における通過特性の高い急峻性を有する弾性波フィルタを備える高周波フロントエンド回路および通信装置を提供することが可能となる。
 なお、上記説明では、デュプレクサを例に説明したが、本発明は、例えば、3つのフィルタのアンテナ端子が共通化されたトリプレクサや、4つのフィルタのアンテナ端子が共通化されたクワッドプレクサについても適用することができる。つまり、高周波フロントエンド回路および通信装置は、2以上のフィルタを備えていればよい。
 さらには、高周波フロントエンド回路および通信装置は、送信フィルタ及び受信フィルタの双方を備える構成に限らず、送信フィルタのみ、または、受信フィルタのみを備える構成であってもかまわない。
 また、通信装置70は、高周波信号の処理方式に応じて、ベースバンド信号処理回路4を備えていなくてもよい。
 (7.その他の変形例など)
 以上、本発明の実施の形態に係る弾性表面波フィルタ、マルチプレクサおよびデュプレクサついて、実施例を挙げて説明したが、本発明は、上記実施例には限定されない。例えば、上記各実施例に次のような変形を施した態様も、本発明に含まれ得る。
 例えば、実施例に係る基板50の圧電体層53は、50°YカットX伝搬LiTaO3単結晶を使用したものであるが、単結晶材料のカット角はこれに限定されない。つまり、LiTaO3単結晶を圧電体層として用いて、上記式1および式2を満たす弾性表面波フィルタの圧電体層のカット角は、50°Yであることに限定されない。上記以外のカット角を有するLiTaO3圧電体層を用いた弾性表面波フィルタであっても、同様の効果を奏することが可能となる。また、上記圧電体層は、LiNbO3などの他の圧電単結晶からなるものであってもよい。また、本発明において、基板50としては、圧電体層53を有する限り、全体が圧電体層からなるものの他、支持基板上に圧電体層が積層されている構造を用いてもよい。
 また、上記実施の形態では、IDT電極を有する弾性表面波フィルタを例示したが、本発明に係る弾性波フィルタは、弾性表面波フィルタに限定されず、直列共振子および並列共振子で構成される弾性境界波やBAW(Bulk Acoustic Wave)を用いた弾性波フィルタであってもよい。これによっても、上記実施の形態に係る弾性表面波フィルタが有する効果と同様の効果が奏される。
 また、上記実施例では、送信側フィルタ10を本発明の要部として説明したが、本発明の内容は受信側フィルタ20で用いられても良い。この場合には、受信側フィルタ20が、入力端子と出力端子との間に互いに直列に接続された4以上の直列共振子と、入力端子、出力端子および当該4以上の直列共振子の接続ノードのいずれかと基準端子との間に接続された並列共振子とを備え、上記4以上の直列共振子のうち、入力端子に最も近く接続された第1直列共振子および出力端子に最も近く接続された第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との差である周波数差は、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差よりも小さく、かつ、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数は、第1直列共振子および第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低い、という特徴を有する。
 本発明は、広い帯域幅および狭いバンド間隔の周波数規格に適用できる弾性波フィルタ、マルチプレクサおよびデュプレクサとして、携帯電話などの通信機器に広く利用できる。

Claims (8)

  1.  入力端子と出力端子との間に互いに直列に接続された4以上の直列共振子と、
     前記入力端子、前記出力端子および前記4以上の直列共振子の接続ノードのいずれかと基準端子との間に接続された並列共振子とを備え、
     前記4以上の直列共振子のうち、前記入力端子に最も近く接続された第1直列共振子および前記出力端子に最も近く接続された第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との差である周波数差は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差よりも小さく、かつ、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の反共振周波数は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低い
     弾性波フィルタ。
  2.  前記4以上の直列共振子及び前記並列共振子は、圧電体層を備える基板上に形成されたIDT電極を有しており、
     前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の全ての直列共振子の前記IDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチは、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の前記IDT電極を構成する複数の電極指の繰り返しピッチよりも大きい
     請求項1に記載の弾性波フィルタ。
  3.  前記圧電体層を備える基板は、
     前記IDT電極が一方面上に形成された圧電体層と、
     前記圧電体層を伝搬する弾性波音速よりも、伝搬するバルク波音速が高速である高音速支持基板と、
     前記高音速支持基板と前記圧電体層との間に配置され、前記圧電体層を伝搬する弾性波音速よりも、伝搬するバルク波音速が低速である低音速膜とを備える
     請求項2に記載の弾性波フィルタ。
  4.  前記4以上の直列共振子は、5つの直列共振子であり、
     前記5つの直列共振子のうち、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の3つの直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数の差である周波数差は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数と共振周波数との周波数差よりも小さく、かつ、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子以外の3つの直列共振子の反共振周波数は、前記第1直列共振子および前記第2直列共振子の反共振周波数よりも低い
     請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の弾性波フィルタ。
  5.  所定の周波数帯域を選択的に通過させる帯域通過フィルタを複数有することにより、入力信号を分波するマルチプレクサであって、
     前記複数の帯域通過フィルタが通過させる前記周波数帯域のそれぞれは異なり、前記複数の帯域通過フィルタのそれぞれの一端同士は共通端子に接続され、
     前記複数の帯域通過フィルタのうち、最も高い前記周波数帯域を有する帯域通過フィルタ以外の帯域通過フィルタの少なくとも1つが、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の弾性波フィルタである
     マルチプレクサ。
  6.  送信側フィルタと、受信側フィルタとを有し、前記送信側フィルタの一端と、前記受信側フィルタとの一端とが共通接続されて、アンテナ端子に接続されたデュプレクサにおいて、
     前記送信側フィルタおよび前記受信側フィルタのうち、通過させる周波数帯域が低いほうのフィルタが、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の弾性波フィルタである
     デュプレクサ。
  7.  請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の弾性波フィルタ、請求項5に記載のマルチプレクサ、または請求項6に記載のデュプレクサと、
     前記弾性波フィルタ、前記マルチプレクサまたは前記デュプレクサに接続された増幅回路と、を備える
     高周波フロントエンド回路。
  8.  アンテナ素子で送受信される高周波信号を処理するRF信号処理回路と、
     前記アンテナ素子と前記RF信号処理回路との間で前記高周波信号を伝達する請求項7に記載の高周波フロントエンド回路と、を備える
     通信装置。
