- the rear bag part 42 and the front bag part 40 can be inflated and deployed with a good balance in the left and right directions, and the deployment behavior of the bag body 30 can be stabilized.
- the rectifying portion 32A is constituted by a part of the front and rear partition cloths 32, the structure of the side airbag 22 can be simplified. Further, since the front and rear partition cloth 32 including the rectifying unit 32A can be prevented from being bulky, the side airbag 22 can be folded in a compact manner. Thereby, the mountability of the side airbag module 20 to the side support part 16B can be improved.
- the rectifying part 32A swells due to the pressure of the gas generated from the inflator 24.
- the front surface 42 ⁇ / b> A of the rear bag portion composed of the front and rear partition cloths 32 can be drawn into the inflator 24 side (vehicle rear side).
- crew of an improper position receives from the back bag part 42 can be suppressed more effectively.
- the lower side of the front edge portion 43 of the rear bag portion 42 is behind the vehicle from the front edge portion 17 of the side support portion 16B.
- the front and rear partition cloths 32 are set so as to be positioned on the side. For this reason, compared with the case where all the front edge parts 43 of the rear bag part 42 protrude to the vehicle front side rather than the front edge part 17 of the side support part 16B, the passenger
- the front edge 43 of the rear bag portion 42 that is inflated and deployed is higher than the front edge 17 of the side support portion 16B at the same height as the upper surface 28A1 of the armrest portion 28A provided on the side door 26. Located on the rear side of the vehicle. For this reason, even if the side airbag 22 is inflated and deployed with the occupant leaning his / her head or the like on the upper surface 28A1 of the armrest portion 28A, the occupant is prevented from being affected by the rear bag portion 42 or Can be suppressed.
- the front and rear partition cloths 32 are provided so that the front edge 43 of the rear bag part 42 inflated and deployed extends along the vertical direction of the seat back 16. It is possible to prevent the portion from locally protruding from the side support portion 16B to the front side of the vehicle.

It may be configured to exhaust the air. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the at least one of the above from being crushed.
- the left and right chambers 46 and 48 of the rear bag portion 42 may be formed asymmetrically.
- the side airbag 22 when folding the side airbag 22, it is possible to prevent the left and right sewing portions T5, T6, etc. that sew the front and rear partition cloths 32 on the base cloth 34 of the bag body 30 from overlapping.
- the side airbag 22 can be folded compactly.
- FIG. 8 shows a vehicle seat 12 and a vehicle side airbag device 80 according to the second embodiment of the present invention in a side view corresponding to FIG.
- the configuration of the side airbag 82 is different from that of the side airbag 22 according to the first embodiment.
- the front edge portion 43 of the rear bag portion 42 that has been inflated and deployed has a vertically extending portion 43A that extends along the vertical direction of the seat back 16, and an obliquely upward front of the vehicle from the upper end of the vertically extending portion 43A.
- a front and rear partition cloth 84 front and rear partition section
- the upper end side portion of the left partition portion 32B and the right partition portion 32C with respect to the rectifying portion 32A is inclined toward the opposite side to the rectifying portion 32A.
- the left partition portion 32B and the right partition portion 32C have reduced width dimensions at the front extension portions 32B1 and 32C1.
- These forward extending portions 32B1 and 32C1 are sewn to the one side portion 34A and the other side portion 34B of the base fabric 34 at the sewing portions T5 and T6 (not shown in FIGS. 8 and 9), respectively.
- a front extending portion 42B extending upward from the front bag portion 40 is formed on the upper portion of the rear bag portion 42.

- the inflated and deployed side airbag 82 will be described in detail.
- the expansion width of the front extension 42B is set smaller than the expansion width of the front bag 40. Accordingly, the upper arm portion pushing surface curved or inclined so that the inner side surface in the vehicle width direction at the upper portion of the front bag portion 40 rises toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction (goes outward in the vehicle width direction as it goes upward). .
- the inclined portion 43B is provided so as to extend obliquely upward and forward of the seat back 16 from the upper end of the vertically extending portion 43A. That is, the inclined portion 43B is located on the front side of the seat back 16 with respect to the front-rear direction of the seat back 16, that is, the direction perpendicular to the up-down direction of the seat back 16 in the side view of the seat back (the direction along arrow X in FIG. Tilt to rise as you head toward.
- the inclination angle ⁇ of the inclined portion 43B with respect to the front-rear direction of the seat back 16 is preferably set within a range of 30 to 60 degrees, and more preferably set within a range of 40 to 50 degrees.
- the inclined portion 43B is the center of the shoulder portion S of the occupant P (here, the axis of the bolt provided on the shoulder portion S of the dummy P) when the inflated and deployed state of the side airbag 82 is viewed from the vehicle width direction. And the center of the upper arm A in the longitudinal direction (the position of the center of gravity of the upper arm or the position near the center of gravity). Further, in the vicinity of the inclined portion 43B, the inner side surface in the vehicle width direction of the side airbag 82 is recessed outward in the vehicle width direction to form a recess. The recess extends so as to extend obliquely upward and forward of the seat back 16 along the inclined portion 43B.
- a front extension 42 ⁇ / b> B that restrains the shoulder S of the occupant P is provided on the upper portion of the rear bag portion 42.
- the front extension 42B is inflated and deployed early, so that the shoulder S of the occupant P can be restrained early.
- the front extending portion 42B is partitioned (partitioned) from the front bag portion 40 along the inclined portion 43B extending obliquely upward and forward of the seat back 16 from the upper end of the vertically extending portion 43A. 40 expands and expands upward.
- the front extension portion 42B that is, the upper portion of the high pressure rear bag portion 42 is satisfactorily used as the shoulder portion S of the occupant P while suppressing an increase in the capacity of the rear bag portion 42.
- the chest C, the abdomen B, the rear part of the waist part L, and the shoulder part S can be effectively restrained by the rear bag part 42, so that the initial occupant restraint performance by the side airbag 82 can be improved.
- the inner side surface in the vehicle width direction of the inflated and deployed front bag portion 40 is curved so that the upper side of the front side in the vertical direction rises toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction. For this reason, when the side airbag 82 and the occupant P relatively approach each other due to the impact of the side collision, the curved surface and the upper arm portion A of the occupant P are in sliding contact with each other, and the force that pushes the upper arm portion A upward is generated. appear. As a result, the upper arm portion A is pushed up above the front bag portion 40 and is restrained by the front extending portion 42B. Thereby, since it can suppress that the upper arm part A intervenes between the passenger
- the width dimensions of the left partition part 32B and the right partition part 32C are reduced in the front extension parts 32B1 and 32C1.
- the expansion width in the vehicle width direction at the upper end portion of the front bag portion 40 can be made sufficiently smaller than the expansion width in the vehicle width direction at the middle portion in the vertical direction of the front bag portion 40.
- the upper part of the inner side surface in the vehicle width direction of the front bag part 40 can be greatly curved, so that it is possible to increase the push-up force acting on the upper arm part A.
- the front extension 42B extends from the side of the shoulder S of the occupant P toward the front of the vehicle and is disposed above the front bag 40. For this reason, for example, even if the form of the side collision is a so-called oblique side collision and the occupant P is inertially moved diagonally forward of the vehicle, the shoulder S of the occupant P can be prevented from being detached from the forward extension 42B. . This makes it possible to favorably restrain the shoulder S of the occupant P by the side airbag 82 regardless of the side collision, and to maintain the restraint of the shoulder S until the second half of the collision.
- the upper part of the rear bag part 42 including the front extension part 42B is not partitioned by the left and right chambers 46 and 48. For this reason, compared with the case where the upper part of the rear bag part 42 is partitioned off into the left and right chambers 46 and 48, the expansion thickness in the vehicle width direction at the upper part of the rear bag part 42 can be reduced. Thereby, for example, the upper portion of the rear bag portion 42 can be inflated and deployed well in a narrow gap between the shoulder portion S of the occupant P and the vehicle body side portion (here, the side door 26).

It is like that. Accordingly, when the internal pressure of the lower bag portion 110 rises to a preset value or more, the check valve 114 is crushed and closed by the internal pressure of the lower bag portion 110 (see the two-dot chain line in FIG. 15). As a result, the gas flow from the lower bag part 110 to the rear bag part 42 is restricted.
- the upper and lower partition cloths 108 are inclined forward and downward with respect to the front-rear direction of the seatback 16 (the direction along the arrow X in FIG. 13) when the inflated and deployed state of the side airbag 102 is viewed from the vehicle width direction. It is set to be.
- the inflated and deployed lower bag portion 110 is configured such that the inflated thickness in the vehicle vertical direction becomes smaller toward the vehicle front side. The lower bag portion 110 restrains the waist L of the occupant P.
- the configuration other than the above is the same as that of the first embodiment. Accordingly, the same operational effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained.
- the check valve 114 can maintain a high internal pressure of the lower bag portion 110. Accordingly, the lower bag portion 110 can effectively restrain the waist L of the occupant P at the proper position.
- the inflated thickness in the vehicle vertical direction of the inflated lower bag portion 110 is configured to decrease toward the front side of the vehicle, it is assumed that an occupant, a baggage, or the like is provided at the lower portion of the side support portion 16B. Even when the side airbag 102 is inflated and deployed in a state of being located in the front, it is possible to reduce the influence of the occupant, luggage, etc. from the lower bag portion 110.
- FIG. 16 is a plan sectional view corresponding to FIG. 3 showing an inflated and deployed state of the side airbag 22 which is a constituent member of the vehicle side airbag device 120 according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention.
- a vehicle seat (not shown) is a front seat, and the side airbag 22 and the inflator 24 are fixed to the side frame portion 122 of the front seat.
- the front protrusion amount of the side support portion of the seat back is set larger than that of the vehicle seat 12 (rear seat) according to the first embodiment.
- the left partition part 32B and the right partition part 32C of the front and rear partition cloths 32 are sewn at the sewing part T8 set on the front end side of the bag body 30 with respect to the sewing part T2. Thereby, the position of the boundary between the front bag portion 40 and the rear bag portion 42 partitioned by the front and rear partition cloths 32 can be stabilized, and the side airbag 22 can be used as a front seat.
- FIG. 17 shows an inflated and deployed state of the side airbag 132, which is a constituent member of the vehicle side airbag device 130 according to the sixth embodiment of the present invention, in a plane sectional view corresponding to FIG. .
- the configuration of the front and rear partition cloths 134 is different from that of the front and rear partition cloths 32 according to the first embodiment.
