Description

パンク修理用のキャップユニット
 本発明は、パンク修理剤を収容したボトル容器の口部に取り付けられ、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気により、パンクしたタイヤにパンク修理剤と圧縮空気とを順次注入してパンクを応急的に修理するパンク修理用のキャップユニットに関する。
 例えば下記の特許文献1には、パンク修理用のキャップユニットbが記載されている。このキャップユニットbは、図6に示されるように、ボトル容器aの口部a1に取り付けられる。そしてコンプレッサdからの圧縮空気により、パンク修理剤と圧縮空気とが、パンクしたタイヤtに順次注入され、これによってパンクが応急的に修理される。
 このキャップユニットbは、第1、第2の流路e、fを具えるキャップ本体gと、前記第1、第2の流路e、fを同時に閉じる一つの蓋状の閉止栓hとから構成される。前記第1の流路eは、コンプレッサdからの圧縮空気を、ボトル容器a内に送り込む流路である。また前記第2の流路fは、前記圧縮空気の送り込みにより、ボトル容器aからパンク修理剤と圧縮空気とを順次取り出す流路である。
 具体的には、前記キャップ本体gは、ボトル容器aの口部a1を螺着するための取付け凹部g1と、この取付け凹部g1の底面から突出するボス部g2とを具える。前記ボス部g2の外周面は、前記閉止栓hが弾性的に嵌着される閉止栓取付部分jを形成する。前記ボス部g2は、閉止栓取付部分jよりも内側に、前記第1、第2の流路e、fの上開口部e1、f1を具える。前記閉止栓hは、閉止栓本体haと栓軸部hbとを一体に具える。前記閉止栓本体haは、前記ボス部g2の外周面(閉止栓取付部分j)に嵌着され、これにより第1の流路eが閉じられる。又前記栓軸部hbは、前記上開口部f1に嵌着され、これにより第2の流路fが閉じられる。
 前記キャップユニットbは、ボトル容器aを装着した装着状態にて車載保管される。又パンク修理の際には、この装着状態のキャップユニットbに配管が施された後、コンプレッサdが作動される。これにより、圧縮空気が第1の流路eをへて閉止栓本体ha内に流れ込む。そして閉止栓本体haの内圧上昇によって、前記閉止栓hが自動的に取り外される。即ち、第1、第2の流路e、fが開放される。
 従って前記閉止栓hでは、保管時には外れず、逆にパンク修理時には圧縮空気によって容易に外れることが必要である。そのために、前記閉止栓hとキャップ本体gとの間の嵌め合い寸法の精度を高めること、及び閉止栓hとキャップ本体gとの間の嵌合力を高精度で管理することがそれぞれ要求される。
 しかし従来構造では、前記閉止栓本体haと栓軸部hbとの双方に、嵌合バラツキが発生する。そのため、嵌め合い寸法によりいっそう高い精度が要求される。その結果、歩留まり率が低下し、また製品検査工程での行程コストが上昇する。
 しかも従来構造では、前記閉止栓本体haの嵌合、及び栓軸部hbの嵌合が同時に外れることが必要である。もし栓軸部hbが先に外れかかって隙間が生じた場合、閉止栓本体ha内の圧縮空気がその隙間から第2の流路fに流出する。そのため、閉止栓本体haの内圧が上昇しなくなり、閉止栓hがボス部g2から外れなくなる。逆に、閉止栓本体haが先に外れかかって隙間が生じた場合、その隙間から圧縮空気がボトル容器a内に漏れ出す。そのため、ボトル容器a内の圧力が上昇し、閉止栓本体haの内外の圧力差が減少する。その結果、この場合にも閉止栓hがボス部g2から外れなくなる。このように、閉止栓本体haと栓軸部hbとが同時に外れることが必要であり、このことも高精度が必要な要因となっている。

 そこで本発明は、第1、第2の流路の開閉を確実化しながら、キャップユニットの嵌め合い精度を緩和でき、キャップユニットの歩留まり率の低下、及び製品検査工程の行程コストの上昇などを抑えうるパンク修理用のキャップユニットを提供することを目的としている。
 上記課題を解決するために、本願請求項1の発明は、パンク修理液を収容したボトル容器の口部に取り付くとともに、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気を前記ボトル容器内に第1の流路をへて取り込む取入れ口部、及びこの圧縮空気の取り込みにより前記ボトル容器からパンク修理液と圧縮空気とを第2の流路をへて順次取り出す取出し口部を有するキャップ本体、
 並びに前記第1、第2の流路を閉じる閉止手段を具えたキャップユニットであって、
 前記閉止手段は、前記第1の流路を閉じる第1の閉止栓と、この第1の閉止栓とは独立して形成されかつ前記第2の流路を閉じる第2の閉止栓とからなるとともに、
 前記キャップ本体は、前記ボトル容器の口部を挿入して固定する口部取付け凹部と、この口部取付け凹部の底面から立上がりかつ前記第1の閉止栓が弾性的に嵌着される第1の閉止栓取付部分を設けたボス部とを有し、
 しかも前記ボス部の前記第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも内側に、前記第1の流路の上開口部を開口させ、かつ前記第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも外側に、前記第2の流路の上開口部を開口させるとともに、
 前記第1の閉止栓は、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気により第1の流路が圧力上昇することによって前記第1の閉止栓取付部分から外れて第1の流路を開き、かつ前記第2の閉止栓は、手動によって移動できかつ該移動によって前記第2の流路を開くことを特徴としている。
 また請求項2では、前記第2の流路は、前記上開口部から下方にのびる第2の縦流路部と、この第2の縦流路部に交わり部P2で連なりかつ該交わり部P2から前記取出し口部の先端開口部までのびる第2の横流路部とを具え、
 前記第2の閉止栓は、前記第2の横流路部内に介在して該第2の横流路部を閉じるとともに、手動によって第2の横流路部に沿って移動し該第2の横流路部を開くことを特徴としている。
 また請求項3では、前記取出し口部には、内端側が前記第2の横流路部内に摺動可能に内挿されかつ外端側にホース連結部が形成されたホース連結筒が配されるとともに、
 前記ホース連結部にホースを差し込む際の押し込みによって、前記第2の閉止栓は、ホース連結筒とともに内側に移動し、前記第2の横流路部を開くことを特徴としている。
 また請求項4では、前記第1の流路の上開口部は、キャップユニットに前記ボトル容器が装着された装着状態において、ボトル容器内に収容されたパンク修理液の液面よりも上方に位置することを特徴としている。
 また請求項5では、前記第2の流路の上開口部は、前記口部取付け凹部の底面で開口することを特徴としている。
 本発明は叙上の如く、ボス部に設けた第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも内側に、第1の流路の上開口部が開口する。そして前記第1の閉止栓取付部分に第1の閉止栓が嵌着し、これにより第1の流路が閉止される。又第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも外側に、第2の流路の上開口部が開口する。この第2の流路は、前記第1の閉止栓とは独立した別の第2の閉止栓によって閉止される。
 従って、圧縮空気による第1の流路の圧力上昇によって、第1の閉止栓のみを取り外すことができる。即ち、第2の閉止栓による嵌め合いの影響を受けることがなくなる。しかも、第2の閉止栓と同時に取り外す必要もなくなる。そのため第1の閉止栓の嵌め合い精度を緩和することができる。又第2の閉止栓は、手動による移動によって第2の流路を開放させる。従って、第2の閉止栓においても、高い嵌め合い精度が不要となる。
 その結果、キャップユニットの形成時の歩留まり率の低下、及び製品検査工程の行程コストの上昇などを抑えながら、保管時に閉止栓が外れて液漏れが生じというトラブル、及び使用時に閉止栓が外れなくなってパンク修理作業が行えなくなるというトラブルを防止することが可能となる。
本発明のキャップユニットの一実施例を示す断面図である。 前記キャップユニットの拡大断面図である。 第2の閉止栓を示す斜視図である。 (A)、(B)は第2の閉止栓による第1の流路の開閉を示す断面図である。 (A)は第1の閉止栓の他の例を示す断面図、(B)はそれが外れる様子を示す断面図である。 従来のキャップユニットを示す断面図である。
 以下、本発明の実施の形態について、詳細に説明する。
 図1は、本発明のキャップユニット1に、ボトル容器4が装着された装着状態Yを示す断面図である。前記キャップユニット1は、キャップ本体7と閉止手段8とを具える。前記キャップ本体7は、コンプレッサ3からの圧縮空気を前記ボトル容器4内に取り込む取入れ口部13、及びこの圧縮空気の取り込みにより前記ボトル容器4からパンク修理液Tと圧縮空気とを順次取り出す取出し口部14を有する。前記取入れ口部13は、第1の流路5を介してボトル容器4の内部と導通する。又前記取出し口部14は、第2の流路6を介してボトル容器4の内部と導通する。
 又前記閉止手段8は、前記第1の流路5を閉じる第1の閉止栓8Aと、前記第2の流路6を閉じる第2の閉止栓8Bとから形成される。前記第1の閉止栓8Aと第2の閉止栓8Bとは互いに独立して形成される。
 前記ボトル容器4は、パンク修理剤Tを収容する容器部4Bと、前記容器部4Bの下端から突出してパンク修理剤Tを取り出す小径円筒状の口部4Aとを具える周知構造をなす。
 又前記キャップ本体7は、その上端部に、図2に拡大して示されるように、前記ボトル容器4の口部4Aを固定する口部取付け凹部10と、この口部取付け凹部10の底面10Sから立上がるボス部11とを具える。前記口部取付け凹部10は、その内周面に内ネジ部を有し、これによって前記口部4Aを螺着する。
 前記ボス部11は、本例では、前記口部取付け凹部10と同心状に立ち上がる。又前記ボス部11の上端は、前記装着状態Yにおいてボトル容器4内に収容されたパンク修理液Tの液面TS(図1に示す。)を上方に超えた高さ位置で終端している。
 前記キャップ本体7の側部には、コンプレッサ接続用の前記取入れ口部13と、タイヤ接続用の前記取出し口部14とが設けられる。本例の取入れ口部13は、ホース連結部30として形成され、このホース連結部30に前記コンプレッサ3からのびるホース31が接続される。又前記取出し口部14には、後述するホース連結筒32が配され、このホース連結筒32に、前記タイヤtからのびるホース33が接続される。
 前記キャップ本体7の内部には、前記第1、第2の流路5、6が形成される。このうち、前記第1の流路5は、第1の縦流路部5Aと第1の横流路部5Bとを具える。前記第1の縦流路部5Aは、前記ボス部11の上端で開口する上開口部5a(図1に示す。)から、ボス部11内を通って下方にのびる。前記第1の横流路部5Bは、前記第1の縦流路部5Aと、交わり部P1で連なる。又前記第1の横流路部5Bは、この交わり部P1から前記取入れ口部13先端の先端開口部5bまでのびる。
 前記第2の流路6は、第2の縦流路部6Aと第2の横流路部6Bとを具える。前記第2の縦流路部6Aは、前記ボス部11と同心な周溝状をなし、上開口部6aから下方にのびる。前記上開口部6aは、前記ボス部11を囲む環状をなし、前記口部取付け凹部10の底面10Sで開口する。又第2の横流路部6Bは、前記第2の縦流路部6Aと、交わり部P2で連なる。又第2の横流路部6Bは、この交わり部P2から前記取出し口部14先端の先端開口部6bまでのびる。
 そして、前記ボス部11の上端部に、前記第1の閉止栓8Aが弾性的に嵌着される。図1に示されるように、前記第1の閉止栓8Aは、本例では、前記ボス部11の上端部の外周面に嵌着される嵌合筒部20aと、この嵌合筒部20aの上端を閉じる天板部20bとを具えるキャップ状をなす。従って、本例では、前記ボス部11の上端部の外周面によって、前記第1の閉止栓8Aを弾性的に嵌着する第1の閉止栓取付部分11Aが形成される。又該第1の閉止栓取付部分11Aの内側で、第1の流路5の前記上開口部5aが開口している。又前記第1の閉止栓取付部分11Aの外側で、第2の流路6の前記上開口部6aが開口している。そして前記コンプレッサ3からの圧縮空気により第1の流路5が圧力上昇することによって、前記第1の閉止栓8Aは、前記第1の閉止栓取付部分11Aから外れて第1の流路5を開放させる。
 次に、前記第2の閉止栓8Bは、手動によって移動でき、かつ該移動によって前記第2の流路6を開放させる。
 具体的には、前記第2の閉止栓8Bは、図4(A)に示されるように、前記第2の横流路部6B内に介在し、該第2の横流路部6Bを閉じる。又第2の閉止栓8Bは、図4(B)に示されるように、手動によって第2の横流路部6Bに沿って内側に移動し、該第2の横流路部6Bを開放させる。
 前記第2の閉止栓8Bは、図3に示されるように、第2の横流路部6B内に摺動可能に内挿される円柱状の基体21を具える。この基体21の中央側には、小径な括れ部21mが形成される。これにより、前記括れ部21mの軸心方向内外に、内の頭部21iと外の頭部21oとが形成される。前記内の頭部21iの外周には、例えばOリングなどのシールリング26が配される。このシールリング26により、前記内の頭部21iと前記第2の横流路部6Bの内周面とは、気密に接触しうる。なお符号27は、シールリング26取り付け用の周溝である。又前記外の頭部21oの軸心方向断面は円弧状に形成される。これにより前記外の頭部21oと前記第2の横流路部6Bの内周面との接触面積が減じられ、円滑な摺動が行われる。
 又前記第2の閉止栓8Bには、少なくとも1本(本例では3本)の連通溝28が形成される。前記連通溝28は、前記外の頭部21oを貫通して軸心方向内外にのびる。この連通溝28により、前記括れ部21mと前記第2の閉止栓8Bの軸心方向外側とが連通される。流過抵抗を減じるために、前記外の頭部21oの外周から連通溝28の溝底までの深さh1が、括れ部21mの深さh2よりも大であるのが好ましい。しかし、h1=h2、或いはh1<h2であっても良い。
 前記図4(A)に示されるように、前記内の頭部21iが前記交わり部P2よりも軸心方向外側に位置するとき、前記第2の横流路部6Bは閉じられる。又前記図4(B)に示されるように、第2の閉止栓8Bが軸心方向内側に移動し、前記括れ部21mが前記交わり部P2と重複するとき、第2の横流路部6Bは開放される。
 又前記第2の閉止栓8Bの移動は、本例では、前記ホース連結筒32にホース33を差し込む際の押し込みによって行われる。前記ホース連結筒32は、前記図2に示されるように、ホース連結筒32の軸心方向内端側に、前記第2の横流路部6B内に摺動可能に内挿される内挿部32aを具える。又ホース連結筒32の軸心方向外端側に、前記ホース33を連結するホース連結部32bを具える。前記内挿部32aには、前記第2の横流路部6Bの内周面と気密接触するOリングなどのシールリング34が装着される。
 そして前記ホース連結部32bにホース33を差し込む際の押し込みによって、前記第2の閉止栓8Bは、ホース連結筒32とともに軸心方向内側に移動する。これにより、前記第2の横流路部6Bは開放される。本例では、前記ホース連結部30、32bとして、直接ホース33を差し込むタケノコ状のものが例示されている。しかしこれに限定されるものでなく、所謂ワンタッチ継ぎ手を構成する一方の継ぎ手部として形成することができる。
 然して、前記キャップユニット1は、保管状態においては、第1、第2の閉止栓8A、8Bにより第1、第2の流路5、6が閉止される。これにより、パンク修理液Tの第1、第2の流路5、6への流出が防止される。そしてパンク修理作業においては、まずキャップユニット1への配管が行われる。このとき前記ホース33のホース連結部32bへの差し込み動作によって、ホース連結筒32を介して第2の閉止栓8Bが移動し、第2の流路6が開放される。なお第2の流路6が開放しても、ボトル容器4内が気密に保持されるため、パンク修理液Tは流出しない。
 次に、コンプレッサ3を作動しパンク修理が行われる。このときコンプレッサ3からの圧縮空気によって、第1の流路5が圧力上昇し、前記第1の閉止栓8Aが外れて第1の流路5が開放される。これにより、ボトル容器4内のパンク修理液Tがタイヤtに充填される。
 このように本実施形態のキャップユニット1では、第2の閉止栓8Bによる嵌め合いの影響を受けることがなく、第1の閉止栓8Aのみが圧縮空気によって取り外される。そのため、第1の閉止栓8Aの嵌め合い精度を緩和しうる。又第2の閉止栓8Bでは、手動によって第2の流路6が開放される。そのため、第2の閉止栓8Bにおいても、高い嵌め合い精度が不要となる。従って、キャップユニット1の形成時の歩留まり率の低下、及び製品検査工程の行程コストの上昇などを抑えながら、保管時に閉止栓が外れて液漏れが生じというトラブル、及び使用時に閉止栓が外れなくなってパンク修理作業が行えなくなるというトラブルを防止することが可能となる。
 なお前記第1の流路5の上開口部5aは、図1に示されるように、前記装着状態Yにおけるパンク修理剤Tの液面TSよりも上方に位置させることが好ましい。その理由は、下記のとうりである。もし第2の流路6側が塞がれた状態でコンプレッサ3が作動された場合、ボトル容器4内の圧力が異常に高まる。その時、コンプレッサ3に脈動がある場合には、ボトル容器4のパンク修理剤Tが、コンプレッサ3側に逆流する恐れが生じる。従って、前記上開口部5aを液面TSよりも上方に位置されることで、前記トラブルを防止できる。なお第2の流路6側が塞がれた状態とは、第2の閉止栓8Bの動作不良によって第2の流路6が開放しない場合、前記ホース連結部32bに接続されるホース33が折れ曲がって塞がった場合、或いは、前記ホース33先端がキャップで塞がっている場合などがあり得る。
 又第2の流路6の上開口部6aは、前記口部取付け凹部10の底面10Sで開口することが好ましい。これによりパンク修理後にボトル容器4内にパンク修理液Tが残留するのを防止しうる。
 図5(A)、(B)に、ボス部11の他の実施例が示される。本例では、前記ボス部11の上端部には、段差部分22aを介して大径部分22bが連設される。本例の第1の閉止栓8Aは、前記大径部分22bの内周面22bSに弾性的に嵌着される嵌合筒部24aと、その上端を閉じる天板部24bとからなる。即ち本例では、前記大径部分22bの内周面22bSが、前記第1の閉止栓取付部分11Aを形成する。又第1の閉止栓8Aは、この大径部分22bの内孔内に嵌め込まれている。なお前記天板部24bには、前記嵌合筒部24aの外周面よりも半径方向外側に突出するストッパ部24b1が形成される。このストッパ部24b1は、前記大径部分22bの上端と当接し、これにより前記第1の閉止栓8Aが位置決めされる。
 このような大径部分22bを設けることにより、第1の閉止栓8Aにおいて、第1の流路5の内圧を受ける面積を増やすことができる。その結果、第1の閉止栓8Aに大きな上向きの力を作用させることが可能となる。又第1の閉止栓8Aを、大径部分22bの内孔内に嵌め込ませることにより、図5(B)に誇張して示されるように、内圧作用時には天板部24bが凸状に湾曲変形し、これにより嵌合筒部24aと大径部分22bとの嵌合力が弱まる。その結果、保管時における第1の閉止栓8Aの取り付き力を同じとしながら、より小さな圧力にて第1の閉止栓8Aを取り外すことが可能となる。
 又本例では、前記キャップユニット1がホース31を介してコンプレッサ3と接続される場合が例示される。しかし、ホース31を介することなく、前記キャップユニット1とコンプレッサ3とを直接接続可能に構成することもできる。この場合、設置の安定性が増し、パンク修理作業中のボトル容器4の転倒を防止できる。
 以上、本発明の特に好ましい実施形態について詳述したが、本発明は図示の実施形態に限定されることなく、種々の態様に変形して実施しうる。

Claims (5)

  1.  パンク修理液を収容したボトル容器の口部に取り付くとともに、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気を前記ボトル容器内に第1の流路をへて取り込む取入れ口部、及びこの圧縮空気の取り込みにより前記ボトル容器からパンク修理液と圧縮空気とを第2の流路をへて順次取り出す取出し口部を有するキャップ本体、
     並びに前記第1、第2の流路を閉じる閉止手段を具えたキャップユニットであって、
     前記閉止手段は、前記第1の流路を閉じる第1の閉止栓と、この第1の閉止栓とは独立して形成されかつ前記第2の流路を閉じる第2の閉止栓とからなるとともに、
     前記キャップ本体は、前記ボトル容器の口部を挿入して固定する口部取付け凹部と、この口部取付け凹部の底面から立上がりかつ前記第1の閉止栓が弾性的に嵌着される第1の閉止栓取付部分を設けたボス部とを有し、
     しかも前記ボス部の前記第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも内側に、前記第1の流路の上開口部を開口させ、かつ前記第1の閉止栓取付部分よりも外側に、前記第2の流路の上開口部を開口させるとともに、
     前記第1の閉止栓は、コンプレッサからの圧縮空気により第1の流路が圧力上昇することによって前記第1の閉止栓取付部分から外れて第1の流路を開き、かつ前記第2の閉止栓は、手動によって移動できかつ該移動によって前記第2の流路を開くことを特徴とするパンク修理用のキャップユニット。
  2.  前記第2の流路は、前記上開口部から下方にのびる第2の縦流路部と、この第2の縦流路部に交わり部P2で連なりかつ該交わり部P2から前記取出し口部の先端開口部までのびる第2の横流路部とを具え、
     前記第2の閉止栓は、前記第2の横流路部内に介在して該第2の横流路部を閉じるとともに、手動によって第2の横流路部に沿って移動し該第2の横流路部を開くことを特徴とする請求項1記載のパンク修理用のキャップユニット。
  3.  前記取出し口部には、内端側が前記第2の横流路部内に摺動可能に内挿されかつ外端側にホース連結部が形成されたホース連結筒が配されるとともに、
     前記ホース連結部にホースを差し込む際の押し込みによって、前記第2の閉止栓は、ホース連結筒とともに内側に移動し、前記第2の横流路部を開くことを特徴とする請求項2記載のパンク修理用のキャップユニット。
  4.  前記第1の流路の上開口部は、キャップユニットに前記ボトル容器が装着された装着状態において、ボトル容器内に収容されたパンク修理液の液面よりも上方に位置することを特徴とする請求項1~3の何れかに記載のパンク修理用のキャップユニット。
  5.  前記第2の流路の上開口部は、前記口部取付け凹部の底面で開口することを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れかに記載のパンク修理用のキャップユニット。
