請求項6の発明は、車両用ランプは、導光体の光放射方向にアウターレンズが設けられるものとし、光放射抑制部は、アウターレンズに設けられている請求項1に記載の車両用ランプである。
請求項7の発明は、光放射抑制部は、導光体の短尺方向の中間部に位置し、長尺方向に沿って形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか1項に記載の車両用ランプである。
請求項8の発明は、光放射抑制部は、金属膜で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7に記載の車両用ランプである。
請求項9の発明は、車両用ランプは、ドアミラーに組込まれたサイドターンランプであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8に記載の車両用ランプである。
請求項10の発明は、光放射抑制部は、ドアミラーのボディーにより構成されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の車両用ランプであるである。
請求項2の発明とすることにより、光放射抑制部を耐久性のよいものとすることができる。
請求項3、4、5、6の発明とすることにより、光放射抑制部を設ける作業が容易になるうえ、光の照射が抑制されることで照度が低下する部分の陰影を際立たせることができる。
請求項7の発明とすることにより、一つの光源で導光体を照射するものでありながらあたかも二本の導光体が光を放射しているような意匠にできる。
請求項8の発明とすることにより、耐久性のさらなる向上が図れる。
請求項9の発明とすることにより、視認性、意匠性の優れたサイドターンランプとすることができる。
請求項10の発明とすることにより、ドアミラーのボディーを光放射抑制部に兼用できて、構造の簡略化を果せる。
図面において、1は車両のドアに設けられるドアミラーであって、該ドアミラー1を構成するボディー1aは、前方に開口部が形成され、該開口部に図示しないミラーが位置調整自在に嵌め込まれている。前記ボディー1aのミラーの背面側となる後部は、後方に膨出する形状に形成されており、該膨出部における下方部位に、本発明が実施されたターンランプ2が一体的に組込まれており、ターンランプ2の点灯によりドアミラー1の後方(車両の前方)から左右何れか一方の端部に向けて光を放射するように構成されている。
前記ドアミラー1に組込まれるターンランプ2は、ミラーの後方(背面側)を構成するボディー1aの後方膨出部の下方部位に位置して、一つの組立て部品として組込まれている。
前記ターンランプ2は、ボディー1aの内側(ミラー側)に収容されるベースハウジング3とインナーハウジング4、さらには、インナーハウジング4の後方部位を覆蓋し、ボディー1a外周面とともに外部に露出するアウターレンズ5とを備えて構成されている。
尚、3cは、外部電源との接続部、3dはドアミラー1のボディー1aと一体化するための取付け片である。
前記インナー部材7は、図5に示すように、上下一対のフランジ片部7a、7bと、これらフランジ片部7a、7bとのあいだを連結する一体化片部7cとにより構成されている。前記一体化片部7cは、上下のフランジ片部7a、7bよりも前方に偏寄する凹溝形状に形成されているとともに、左端側部位が切欠かれて上下のフランジ片部7a、7bとのあいだに中空部7dが形成されている。尚、7eは上下のフランジ片部7a、7bの右端から延出し、一体化片部7cの右端側に位置するように形成された支持片部であって、該支持片部7eは、後述する光源ユニット8に配設される第一発光ダイオード9を位置決め状に固定支持するように構成されている。
尚、インナー部材7は光遮断手段を設けてもよく、光遮断手段としては、例えば、しぼ加工を全体に施す構成、反射膜を全体に塗布する構成、また、インナー部材7を非透明、好ましくは、非透光性樹脂材で形成する構成が提唱される。そして、このように光遮断手段を設けた場合では、インナー部材7の前方に組込まれる光源ユニット8をアウターレンズ5側から目視することができず、意匠性の向上を図ることができるとともに、光源ユニット8の漏光を防止することも可能となる。
また、導光部材6の導光部6aは、湾曲内側部位となる前面6dに漏光を防止するための光遮断手段が施されているが、ここでの光遮断手段は、前面6dを非平滑面とするしぼ加工を施すことにより光遮断する構成となっている。また、導光部材6のインナーレンズ部6cは、前面6eに入光された光を乱反射するための乱反射手段が施されているが、ここでの乱反射手段は、前面6eに複数の凹凸面を形成することにより乱反射するように構成されている。これによって、導光部6aは、前面6dからの漏光が防止されて後面6fが光放射面となり、また、インナーレンズ部6cは、乱反射する光を後方から左方に向けて放射するように構成されている。
ここで、光放射抑制部6hは蒸着部とすることにより、耐久性のよいものにすることができるが、蒸着により光放射抑制部6hを形成する場合では、導光部6aの被蒸着部以外の部位をマスキングすることで、必要な箇所にのみ蒸着を施すようにしている。これに対し、本実施の形態のものでは、導光部6aに突部6gを形成し、その突出端面を蒸着する構成としたので、マスキング作業が容易に、しかも、位置ズレすることなく確実に行うことができ、これによって、耐久性のよい光放射抑制部6hを容易に形成できるように構成されている。
そして、導光部6aは、後面に設けられる光放射抑制部6h部位では、入光部6bから入光された光の放射が抑制され、これによって、導光部6aの後面6fから光が放射される場合に、上下方向中間部に照度の低い部位が形成され、あたかも左右方向に長い二本の光が放射される意匠となるように構成されている。このとき、光放射抑制部6hは突部6gの突出端面にのみ設けられており、該突部6gの段差面からは光が放射するようになっている。このため、光放射抑制部6h近傍の光の陰影が一層強調されて二本の導光体から放光されているかのような意匠となるように構成されている。
因みに、導光部材6の入光部6bを半球体形状とすることにより、第一発光ダイオード9からの光が散乱した状態となって導光部6a、インナーレンズ部6cに向けて誘導されるように設定されており、光の減衰を低減することができて意匠性のよい光を放射するように構成されている。また、本実施の形態では、車体の左右方向外方部である左端部に第二、第三発光ダイオード10、11を設けてインナーレンズ部6c部位に入光させ、該インナーレンズ部6cから光が散乱した状態で外部に放射されるように構成されているため、ターンランプ2としての法定要件を満足する照度を確実に放射できるように構成されている。
因みに、本実施の形態の光源対向部位5aは、しぼ加工することにより光遮断手段が構成されているが、光遮断手段としては、非透光性のシールを貼着すること、反射膜等、非透光性の成膜を形成すること等、他の光遮断手段を用いることも可能である。
このようにすることにより、第一発光ダイオード9から放射される光は導光部6aの左端側において減衰するのが防止され、導光部6aの左右方向全域において均一に光が放射され、視認性を高めることができ、しかも、光放射抑制手段6hにより意匠性の優れた光が放射されるように構成されている。さらに、光源対向部位5aは、ドアミラー1のボディー1aにより覆蓋するように組込まれるように構成されており、これによって、光源対向部位5aから外部への漏光が一層防止されている。
さらに、図8(B)の第三の実施の形態の導光体16は短尺方向中間部に位置し、長尺方向に沿う状態で凹部16aが形成され、該凹部16aの凹面全域に光放射抑制部16bが形成されている。この場合に、凹部16aの溝側面に至るまで光放射抑制部16bを設けることで、上下方向中間部に形成される光放射が抑制される部位の陰影が際立ち、一本の導光体16を一つの光源で照射するものでありながら、あたかも二本の光が放射されたようにすることができる。
図8(C)に示す第四の実施の形態では、円柱とは異形の導光体17を用いたターンランプ18が示されているが、該ターンランプ18は、導光体17の光放射面17aの光放射方向に位置してアウターレンズ19が設けられており、前記光放射面17aの上下方向中間部に凹部17bを形成し、該凹部17bの溝側面に至る凹面に光放射抑制部17cを設けることで、前記第三の実施の形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。
一方、図8(E)に示す第六の実施の形態に示すターンランプ21は、前記第三の実施の形態と同様に、円柱とは異形の導光体22が用いられており、導光体22の光放射面22aの光放射方向に位置してアウターレンズ23が設けられ、前記光放射面22aの上下方向中間部に凹部22bが形成されている。そして、このものでは、アウターレンズ23の導光体22側の面の前記凹部22bに対向する部位に、例えば金属膜により構成される光放射抑制部23aが設けられており、この場合でも、前記実施の形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。
さらに、図8(F)に示す第七の実施の形態のターンランプ24は、前記第六の実施の形態と同様に、円柱とは異形となる導光体25の光放射面25aの光放射方向に位置してアウターレンズ26が設けられ、前記光放射面25aの上下方向中間部に凹部25bが形成されている。そして、このものでは、アウターレンズ26の外面(導光体25側の面とは反対側の面)の前記凹部25bに対向する部位に、例えば金属膜により構成される光放射抑制部26aが設けられており、この場合でも、前記実施の形態と同様の効果を得ることができる。
尚、第六、第七の実施の形態において、導光体22、25には必ずしも凹部22b、25bを形成する必要はなく、光放射面22a、25a全体がアウターレンズ23、26に密着する状態に設ける構成としてもよい。さらには、アウターレンズ23、24と導光体22、25との間に所定の間隙を形成するようにしてもよい。

Claims (10)
- 長尺中実状の導光体を用いた車両用ランプにおいて、前記導光体は、該導光体の長尺方向一端部に設けた光源の照射により長尺状の光を放射するものとし、前記導光体の光放射面には光放射抑制部が設けられていることを特徴とする車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、導光体の光放射面に形成した蒸着部であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、導光体に形成される突部に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、導光体に形成される凹部に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、導光体の内部に形成された蒸着部であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 車両用ランプは、導光体の光放射方向にアウターレンズが設けられるものとし、光放射抑制部は、アウターレンズに設けられている請求項1に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、導光体の短尺方向の中間部に位置し、長尺方向に沿って形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか1項に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、金属膜で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 車両用ランプは、ドアミラーに組込まれたサイドターンランプであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8に記載の車両用ランプ。
- 光放射抑制部は、ドアミラーのボディーにより構成されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の車両用ランプ。
