Abstract

 高い発光輝度を示し、且つ低駆動電圧の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子、及び該素子を用いた照明装置、表示装置を提供することにおいて、該有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子は、下記一般式(1)で表される化合物を少なくとも1種を含有することを特徴とする。 (式中、Arは単環または二環の芳香族環、または芳香族複素環を表すが、少なくとも一つの水素原子を有する。n1は3、4、または5の整数を表す。Aは一般式(A)で表されるが、複数のAは互いに同じでも異なってもよい。X11、X12は窒素原子またはCR13を表す。R11、R12、R13は水素原子、置換基を表すが、互いに結合して環を形成することはない。X11とX12がCR13で表される場合、R13は同じでも異なっていてもよい。Arに結合するAの少なくとも3つはArの互いに隣接する炭素原子に結合する。)
