Abstract

 本発明の高分子安定化液晶組成物は、低分子液晶化合物に対して、カイラル化合物と、重合性アクリレート化合物として、特定のアクリレート及び重合性液晶化合物を添加した構成を有する。当該高分子安定化液晶組成物を所望の配向状態を維持させながら紫外線露光し、重合性化合物を重合させて液晶相中に高分子鎖を形成させることによって、低分子液晶の配向状態を安定化した高分子安定化液晶表示素子を得ることができる。当該高分子安定化液晶表示素子は駆動電圧が低く、駆動電圧の温度変化を抑制することが可能である。
