Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical installation box for installing electrical assemblies, such as switches, plugs, distributors, etc., which can be used under plaster, in hollow walls, in window sill channels, in solid building materials, such as concrete, brick, wood or in sheet metal and plastic plates are.
- the installation boxes generally have a round, pot-like body shape and are provided in the base area and in the outer jacket with predetermined openings or pipe connections - GM 74 33 794 - in order to insert electrical lines and cables into the interior of the box.
- the predetermined openings have a smaller wall thickness and / or are closed by wall parts which are connected to the box body by film hinges or webs which can be cut out.
- the simplest boxes of this type are used primarily for flush mounting or for electrical installations in solid brick and / or concrete masonry, the mounting box for receiving the electrical distributor, switch and plug assemblies being used in prepared mounting openings in the masonry and with the aid of a quickly setting building material , for example plaster can be attached.
- This method of installation is relatively time-consuming and costly and remains limited to the simplest installation boxes which can only be installed in solid wall elements.
- installation boxes often have a strongly rounded or beveled section between the outer jacket of the installation box and its base, which is used in the aforementioned manner for the arrangement of target openings for the cable entry, but also for receiving the holding and tensioning elements in their initial positions serves.
- grooves are provided diametrically in the housing made of plastic, which are closed on the end side and here have a bore for receiving an adjusting and tensioning screw.
- the adjusting and tensioning screw is connected to the holding and tensioning element, which in its starting position is located in a separate receiving space on the can body. which is located or is articulated laterally on the edge of the can within the outer diameter of the can jacket, in order to ensure easy and assembly-correct insertion of the installation box into the prepared assembly opening of the cavity wall.
- the holding and clamping element is unscrewed from its original position and brought to the end region of the installation box with a further screwing operation.
- the grooves in the can jacket serve to guide the holding and clamping elements.
- the holding and tensioning elements protruding from the can jacket now come to rest on the rear side of the hollow wall and brace the installation box against a radially projecting supporting edge which is provided on the open end face of the hollow wall box.
- a solution for an electrical cavity wall box is known, which is inserted from the front into the wall opening of the cavity wall and in addition to an end support flange with two laterally Arranged resilient holding members is equipped, which cooperate with guides that extend in the longitudinal direction, are arranged in the lateral surface of the cavity wall box.
- the resilient holding member is a spring bracket consisting of an inner leg and an outer leg, which in a preferred embodiment is designed as a U-shaped metal bracket. In its inactive inoperative position, the holding member is located within the guide of the hollow wall socket, which ensures that the installation socket is inserted into the wall opening in a manner appropriate to the assembly.
- the outer leg which is provided with an external toothing, is brought into an effective position by loosening a holding member, in which it emerges from the side guides of the hollow wall box and the teeth attached to its outer surface into the adjacent boundary wall of the wall opening, the Assemble the installation position of the installation box in a position-securing manner.
- the proposed means ensure a quick and secure fastening of the installation box in solid walls, in hollow walls and in wall elements with larger wall thicknesses.
- This box cannot be fixed in sheet metal and plastic walls with a relatively thinner wall thickness.
- separately manufactured resilient holding members made of metal higher clamping forces for secure fastening are achieved, but at the same time the manufacturing costs increase due to the preassembly processes for completing the cavity wall socket.
- DE 40 20 676 AI proposes to use the holding members to arrange for the attachment of the mounting box on resilient legs of a common carrier.
- This carrier is preferably designed as a one-piece spring clip, which can be produced inexpensively as a stamped and bent part from a metallic material.
- the installation box itself is designed as a divided box body and has lateral guides in which the legs of the one-piece spring clip are used for wall mounting the box. In principle, this solution has the same disadvantages as described above.
- Barb-like holding bristles arranged obliquely on the can jacket for masonry and cavity wall mounting of a built-in box are known from GM 87 11 217, the holding bristles being equipped with constrictions like film hinges.
- the proposed installation box is designed as a one-piece component and can be manufactured extremely inexpensively in the injection molding process.
- the disadvantage of this proposed solution is, on the one hand, that the installation box cannot be fastened in relatively thin wall elements.
- due to the design and arrangement of the holding bristles no high clamping forces can be achieved, which are urgently required for the fastening of the mounting box in the wall openings.
- a mounting box for simple and at the same time secure fastening of a cavity wall box to a cavity wall panel, which can be of different thickness, a mounting box is proposed in DE 37 18 379 AI, which consists of a box body and a separate support flange.
- the support flange is axially movable and is connected to the socket body by fastening screws or spring elements.
- this acts axially adjustable bare support flange together with elastic locking members, which are arranged in segment-like flattened sections of the can wall in lamellar rows in axial rows.
- These locking elements have locking teeth facing one another at their end sections, which engage each other when the locking elements are loaded and deflected, and which form an abutment against which the supporting flange attached for fastening the mounting box is clamped with the interposition of the wall element.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing means which, by simply inserting the installation box into the prepared assembly opening, ensure that the mounting box is secured in position and secured in position, and that the installation box is universally used in variously designed walls and wall elements.
- the object is achieved by the features characterized in claim 1. Further advantageous refinements of the invention result from subclaims 2 to 9.
- the proposed fasteners in the form of the support elements provided on the outer casing of the mounting box and their end connection with an outwardly curved arcuate pressure web are designed and arranged such that they are elastically deformed when the mounting boxes are inserted into the prepared assembly opening, between the outer box casing and a stable, form-fitting clamping connection is made to the adjacent wall of the wall section via the fastening means.
- the sawtooth-like toothings formed on the outside of the pressure webs additionally engage in the material and / or in existing joints and pores of the adjacent wall sections and thus reinforce the clamping connection in a position-securing manner.
- the free end of the pressure web is led into the edge area of the support rim formed on the open end face of the installation box.
- the support elements which are positioned at an acute angle to the outer casing of the box opposite to the installation direction, generate such high pressure forces that the wall of the wall element is braced with the support edge, and the installation box for the installation work to be carried out and the subsequent intended use of the introduced electrical assemblies is securely fixed.
- the box body and the fastening means arranged on the outer jacket are combined to form a one-piece component, as a result of which the prerequisites for extremely inexpensive manufacture of the built-in box have been created by means of injection molding processes.
- the installation box is fastened by simply pushing it into the prepared assembly opening, with a centered insertion through the obliquely formed jacket section between the cylindrical outer jacket and the can bottom and through the tab-like extensions of this jacket section, which simultaneously perform the function of a support element the installation box is guaranteed in the assembly opening.
- connection of several installation boxes to be installed in an adjacent arrangement by means of the connecting pieces to be inserted into the pipe socket on the bottom not only serve to secure the position of the installation boxes in terms of assembly, but at the same time make it possible to route the electrical lines within the installation boxes and to make line-side connections to the electrical modules without external jacket insulation .
- the electrical lines to be installed are thus routed continuously in connection channels between the mounting boxes and are no longer exposed in the cavity wall or in other line channels or routings to be formed separately.
- the number of working hours is saved in the installation and subsequent installation and assembly work for the electrical assemblies.
